TH,

You guys, should take Yoda's advice. Unlearn.

You created the Hologrind, admitted it was detrimental

and then turned around and exclued those who agreed

and didn't follow that destructive path. NOTICE --

I said excluded others. I believe the grinders deserve

credit. I also believe those who deferred should not

be denied access to the only real content that gives

meaning to the game. I really miss the story arcs those

gave meaning to the game,

This game has degenerated into a job. Slaughter bunches

of innocent wildlife. Craft thousands of meaningless items.

Janta's should be put on an endangered species list.

And if i see another Advanced Droid Frame i think Ill throw up.

Please reconsider this gating process. There is no good

way to controll the Jedi population now. Unless Vader and

friends were to run through the streets hunting them down

like dogs. Even that would give the game more meaning.

This artifical "gating" really detracts from the "feel" of the

game.

You use the tagline live the saga. Well right now its live the

job. Artifically controlling events gives this game a one dimensional

feel. You gave up continuity for "FUN" so why not live with that

decision. You made it possible for JEDI to exist and now

"EVERYONE WANTS TO FEEL A CONNECTION TO THE FORCE!"

That is a main component of the STAR WARS appeal.

This sets a bad precedent.

Does this mean that when JTL comes out we will be gated again

because of the large number of people wanting to fly a spaceship?

Each person will get a random number and when his/her number is

called they can get their ship and fly around.

I hope like with the Vendor Limits you reconsider this gating because

of the huge outrage it has created.

Why do hologrinders get such an advantage? I understand wanting to make it fair for them since they spent time doing it, but is it still fair to the people who wanted to pick a profession and be realistic and stick with it. What about the idea of "role-playing" in your "roleplaying game"I love playing the game but didn't feel hologrinding was fair to the idea of roleplaying so I happened to get a profession from my first holocron that I liked and stuck with, and figured I would get my chance to be FS in the new system.Since I did that now I get to wait even longer for Jedi. Didn't the hologrinders get their chance, and aren't they already getting a head start when they get in the village? The way I see it the power gamers and the lucky are the ones who get to be jedi first, why is that the case? Why can't a casual player get to jedi. my desire to play one isn't any less because I don't have time to write macros or play for hours upon hours to master professions that I am going to turn around and give up.

Also why is it that all the post keep talking about hologrinding as "work" isn't this a game, and how many people did it without macroing anyways. Isn't the machine doing most of the work then. I just find it funny that there is so much concern about fairness to the hologrinding world, sorry grinders.

I really miss the mystery of trying to get jedi when there was little or no idea what it would take. Once the professions were found to be the key hologrinding became popular, but most of the porfessions were only professions long enough to try and unlock, I wonder how many people even can remember how all the professions they have "mastered: work beyond what they used to get XP.

One question: is my one holocron being complete going to entitle me to anything since the porfessions were increased over time, how do you determine how may professions you were from unlocking?

I love the idea of the new system but man I am gonna hate waiting, again, after waiting for the publish in the first place.

I have been playing for about 6 months and have been spending hours and hours a day for the past two weeks on the forums so I would have the latest dirt on what to do to get my "old man visit." Over the past 10 days, I have made sure I have every badge ever mentioned as being a possibility and I am pretty certain I will be "glowy" when I get home in a few hrs. I enjoy this game and I guess you could call me a power gamer considering I play at least 4-5 hrs a day.

On the other hand guys, THIS IS JUST A GAME. IT IS NOT REAL. IT MEANS NOTHING IN THE REAL WORLD.

A lot of these posts sound like people have devoted their lives forthe past year to this stupid game, which is very very sick. Those people should seriously consider therapy. Who here played the first diablo for hours and hours? That game is probibly not around anymore or if it is, no one is playing it or talking about it. The same thing will eventually happen to SWG. Then what? You will have accomplished nothing except to be able to make a statement like, "I once had this real cool character on a star wars game that no one barely even remembers." It should not be the center of your life. Anyone whose life is significantly changed by the fact that pub 10 is not exactly what they wanted shoud seek therapy.

Here is my suggestions for those of you that are "truely" upset/angry/bothered by any of this publish to the point that you think about it while you are not playing or feel strong/real life emotions:

1. seek out a good therapist (no, Im not being insulting, im being serious)

2.

I don't post much as you can see, but this is just a horrible way to do things. I chose to play the game the way i wanted to and became a bounty hunter because it was what i thought was fun.

Then after everyone playing at that point had gotten into their favorite professions, you introduced holocrons which meant that in order to even experience a Jedi, you would have to give up your favored professions and grind out some class you didn't even want to try. Many of us, myself included, decided not to grind out classes we had no interest in just to unlock the FS slot, and many more posted on the forums that you had just screwed all of the casual players that someday wanted to try a Jedi.

Now, you're rewarding people who didn't really care to play the game, just grind out every profession, while people like me who played the classes we wanted to and had fun playing the game as we were meant to get gated for weeks? Casual players lose out again I see.

Well..... this is the last time I'll ever be posting on these forums. Good Job SOE you bunch of **edit** **edit**. You guys always find a **edit** way to mess things up. Your losing half your player base over this **edit** patch. First there was a ray of hope for us non hologrinders, then you do this kind of **edit** to us. I bet your having heart attacks right now because of all the money your gonna lose. This is the kind of **edit** that happens when you keep us in the damn dark even when the patch is live. After this post my account is totally finished. I can't wait to see you guys faint when WoW kills your games. Maybe youll also stop realeasing them while they are in beta still....

4. dont turn on a computer for a while, at least until 1-3 is accomplished.

Seriously guys, internet porn and computer addiction is real and they can destroy families, marriages, and relationships. There are people who are actually receiving mental health treatment for these issues. Take it seriously guys, we all need to do a self evaluation here...

Wait, wait. Is this saying that since I didnt master 28 professions, I am out of luck here. I did 3 holos and didnt want to do the 4th... I figured no big deal. Am I wrong here? If so, then its going to start saving me 15 bucks a month.
