Thread: The Path of the Jedi: Reckoning of Effort
My point exactly.....did not expect to be handed anything.....wanted to start working toward being a Jedi.

They said all along the system was organic. That means they could increase/decrease the requirements at anytime they saw fit. They were not obligated to tell us the increased it, but if people paid attention to the forums they would've been well aware of it as people have been saying that for several months that it was increased based on the statistics of who unlocked and how many professions they had to have.'hmm, those riflemen really are doing too much damage. ok, lets drop the damage on headshot 3 by 50%. no need to tell anyone though, cause what are patch notes for anyway?'forums a few days later: 'why is headshot 3 doing so much less damage' 'I dunno, I noticed that too. you think they ninja nerfed it?' 'guess so, not much else can explain it'would that make it a good thing to do and a good way to do it? *communication* learn it, love it, live it
Good way to do it? Obviously not, but SOE has proven time and again this is the way they do business...

Now I know I qualify and I'm happy with it. I know at some point the old dude will come see me.
How many FS branches I'll get? To be honest, I hope none. I want to do the quests. It's what a RPG game is all about. I'm glad I didn't grind the crafting professions. Before clicking for hours, using a Crafting macro is really boring and is far away a RPG game.
I am seeing all the whiners right now. Who are they? Most of them are those who did 2 basillions professions and got cramps in there wrists. But think about it, did you enjoy that grinding? A RPG game is all about quests and having fun. Now you get the chance to do more quests, more content in the game and you are still Whining? Please stop those threat of cancelling and do it! That means less whiners and less lag on the servers.
I am probably the only one in all 20 pages of whining to say: Thanks Devs to give us more content in the game!
But you can't get to that content for an unspecified amount of time because you are not in the first group. I'm another that's been around since the beginning. I did no hologrinding, because I frankly thought it was stupid. I played the game the way it's supposed to be played. Pick a prof, play it, if you don't like it pick another, etc. Play it at the keyboard - no AFK playing at all. Meet other people, make friends, group hunts, etc etc etc.
I've run out of things to do, quite frankly, because there has been little content put out for the past couple of months as the focus has been on totally revamping the Jedi profession and how you get to the Jedi profession. I'm happy that there is new content for me to do. I'm not happy that I have to wait even longer to get to it because the holo-grinders are up first. A fair number of holo-grinders didn't "play" the game in any sense of the word because they did most of their grinding AFK.
People who unlocked between Pub 9 and Pub 10 should not have to wait at all, IMHO, for the Old Man to visit. As soon as they are 1k from a city, the geezer should show up and talk to them. Anyone else who feels the inner glow of the Force should get a visit soon after. I have no problem with holo-grinders getting free unlocks and free xp to fill in the FS trees. I do have a problem with everyone who has played the game the right way having to wait for their chance to get to the Village.
