Last I heard Vader hunted down and killed all the Light Jedi Knights. If we are going to drag continuity into this...well...there were no Dark Jedi running around....and if they were...they would be on the Emperor's side.


Vader and the Emperor were all about the Dark Side of the force...so those that are Dark Side in this game would be their allies. They would not kill those who would help them crush the rebellion. Again...we can't bring continuity into the argument because it is already broken...so all of these "Vader did this and Yoda said that...and the movies said this" is out the window at this point. This game is BASED on the timeline and does not follow it in totality. We cannot cling to an argument based on the idea of sticking toa broken timeline/continuity.

Because factions hoping to regain control of a planet will be forced to 'run the gauntlet' of opposing troopers at Starports when they arrive, what you will see is whole invasion forces going "On Leave" before an assault, waiting out the timers, transiting to the target planet, heading off to their faction recuiters, going back on duty, waiting again, then blasting away.

ok then this doesnt make sense. I mean the removal of the TEF is so that players can interact with the star wars NPC game elements without fear of unwanted PvP.


So why are we protecting them from NPC Star Wars game elements? We know it's a Star Wars game right? THE WHOLE POINT OF THE TEF REMOVAL WAS SO THAT PLAYERS COULD ENJOY STARWARS GAME ELEMENTS WITHOUT PLAYER GRIEFING! NPCs are Star Wars game elements ... why should this be the first game in history todub interacting with the plot a bad thing? This is starwars ... citizens should feel oppressed by the empire.


Now, maybe this just hasnt been clearly explained yet, but Calandryll's statements sound to me like this (for a neutral player):


NPC Trooper: "You there, STOP!"
Player: "No thanks ... I do not respect your authority."
NPC Trooper: "Darn."


Calandryll ... what is ramifications if a nuetral is discovered to be carying ilegal goods?! What is the consiquence if they decide to not comply with the scan (run away).

i don't agree witht he idea of dark jedi gettin done my imperials too. especially when theres a powerfull force comin to beat em down. should keep it reb v imp, not imp v imp

Think of it this way.


Dark Jedi are opportunistic. Given the chance, they will kill their superiors so they can advance.


Vader and Palpy want to keep control themselves. So they are not allowing Dark Jedi to progress enough to try to usurp power.

I wish they would do like manditory short surveys from the login screen to to figure stuff like this out. Would reach the greatest percentage of the playing player base, and would give every player a chance to be heard (as in vote).

I have to agree that the Dark Jedi being scanned and attacked in imperial controlled cities is a load of dishwater. There are so many jedi running around these days it blows canon out the window. Keep it factional. Why should a rebel jedi be safe in half the cities but imperials be safe in none at all?


Imperial soldier first, weilder of the dark side second, they can't have their own agenda in this game as it's not possible for them to go overt and decide to kill their own forces on a whim. If they could then I suppose it'd be fair lol, otherwise that's not acceptable.

When we add things to one aspect of the game or another, we are not "squeezing" out everyone else. Opting-out to me means notengaging in the GCW combat. I sincerely doubt everyone will leave the crafts because combat and the GCW gets more interesting.

As crafters, we were assured that there would be a way for non-combat professions to PARTICIPATE in the GCW, to feel a part of the star wars world and have an immersive experience. I'd love for you to explain to me how that happens as a "neutral/civilian".


The message is clear -- be a fighter, or opt out of the whole Star Wars universe/struggle. And I have to say that I resent the hell out of that message. The only option my crafting character will have is to resign from the rebel faction. How is that not being "squeezed" out?
