Thread: Publish 8.2 Feedback: Death Watch Bunker
This is a lot of fun, very difficult, but at least the place isn't camped. Have been going back everyday since the launch, have made it to the mines many timesand completed the mine foremans quest. Just need one more ingredient to make our first part of the armour.
Considering the difficulty, I would also suggest better loot + badges for completion.
My only othersuggestion is increase the loot drops of the armour ingredients, if you want to make it harder, then only allow npcs in section b or the mines to drop it.
Please ignore all the other posts complaining about difficulty, you just need a well organised team and persistance.

In Gary Gattis's State of the Game Letter he said that in Mini Publish 8.2, beside's the Deathwatch Bunker, we would also get a Veteran Rewards system, a Badge Display system and loot enhancements. Earlier in the message he said that the "...Veteran's Rewards system that will allow you to earn a bunch of cool things, up to and including an exclusive starship when "Jump to Lightspeed" launches!"

That same letter also said that the schedule WAS subject to and probably WOULD change. It obviously changed. I saw an updated State of the Game Letter with a new layout... was a link in a post somewhere... can't find the link again tho.

What happened with these extra features? All I am hearing about is the Deathwatch Bunker.I have no interest in it because it's too over powered but I do want to know what kind of cool things we're suppossed to get as veterans. As an avid collector of badges I'd also like to know what the Badge Display system is. Which brings me to the question of what the loot enhancements were.
Its definitly the most dificult place in the game right now but a smart team on voice can go through it. Our team of 14 finally got down through the mines, went to all the crafting rooms and enjoyed killing something without 60k + ham for a while (miners and rats). No one died for the 1st time until serverwas about to go down so we all went our own waysto see how many things could agro each of us. Of course being the BH i somehow had 12 SBD's and a host of other crap on me asserver went down.
If we would have had the3 items needed to turn the armor our DE could have made a piece of armor. I was praying the miners would drop something for the armor turn since you need basically 10 of each component to make a set (I will settle for just enough for a helmet at this point though).
Next trip down is to do the foreman quest inside since the rebel one got me 30 faction for 8 SBD's worth of work
A couple observations--
The poison isn't a big deal down there for still buffed players so don't sweat the retrofitted rebreathers if it will make you waste valuable "mind buff time".
The Mines themselves have a few areas to rest and quick kill miners as well as a few places to use AOE's but there are still A TON of SBD, wraiths and BD's down there. No rest for the wicked i guess.
We got passed the last security terminal and into the mine with 1.5 hrs on our buffs but our mind buffs were gone so the CM's earned their pay after that.
The loot once we got to exploring all the rooms in the mine was kind of depressing, a couple rebreathers and a schematic is all we got. Nothing for the armor turn which is all we wanted.
Yes its very hard and we have yet to attempt the foreman quest inside (basically go back up 1/2 way and back down again) but its not impossible. We had a tailor and a DE with us (just in case) and they hardly got touched until we had to try to get out and that was just pure comedy. Being smart is a must and I will say I turn down invitations all day long to go down there with people I don't know or don't listen. One wrong turn can add 4 SBD's to your enemy list in a heartbeat. We had no pets, droids or tricks to doing any of this other than learning what rooms or areas to pull things into anda few areas to rest infor a sec. Haveing 6 SBD's, a few BD's and some Death Watch on us isn't uncommon at all. The shuttle bay room (2nd security terminal) is always tense even after 8 times passed it. If you make it passed that a 2 or 3 min is heaven. Other than that We never expected anything less.
As far as the agro scenario the 1st 5 rooms are the hardest part due to that. Once we get passed that its not a concern because we have never seen a group pass that area while we were there so there is never a fear of someone doing something stupid to get us killed (save the tired tanks).

Yeah Devs...ignore the 24 pages of negative responses and only listen to this one (obviously) power gamer who says keep it the way it is. Whover wrote this post: We had a well organized team and persistence and still got jack, well, we DID get something...BORED.
Devs: REMOVE ALL BATTLE DROIDS FROM THE ENTIRE GAME...THEY ARE NOT FUN, AND ARE UNWANTED, UNORIGINAL, AND PLAIN STUPID TO HAVE.
Once again, just because a handful of players can solo a dungeon doesn't mean you punish everyone else by making it impossible. You are all acting like a bunch of ego-bruised Dungeon Masters who are mad at the players for beating your "great challenge", so they just throw crap at you until you die.
And for Pete's Sake, REPLY AT LEAST ONCE TO THIS THREAD! What am I and the other 1000's of players paying your salary for?!
