You know if I just bought this game and started reading this thread...I would be thinking twice about subscribing past the free month.
SOE are proving they are woefully inadequate at providing balanced game-play. IE: Professions, PvP, or game content.
Lets go back to the beginning. This game was touted as a "casual players MMORPG". Now I ask you in all honesty does a casual player get nearly the attention that the Hard- Core -Uber- Grinding- Playing -12 -hours a -day -player gets? Nope, not even close.
It's the casual player who is going to leave this game in droves when the 2 500lb Gorillas about to be released hit prime time.(WoW, EQ-2)
Don't tell me this is a MMORPG so content should be geared to the uber groups. Thats baloney and you know it.
You know what grouping is in this game for the majority? It's a way to get bigger missions that they run off and do solo.
Go to Dantooine and read the spam. "Forming a solo group, PST". Solo group? Thats a oxymoron.
But yet its what happens the majority of the time in SWG. The developers should get a clue and know this.
Sorry, but this game has been out way to long to still be this un-balanced and full of nothing.

Please post your comments and opinionsabout the Corellian Corvette in this thread. Thank you.
It was a lot of fun, even tho we failed.
I can understand the big hams i don't understand the massive damage mobs deal. Players have no counter for such massive ammounts ofdamage.

Three imperial missions tackled by our group, key for the success was not the here often said "uberequipment". It was teamplay and a decent and well balanced teamsetup (oh and the "double elite combatprofession" was also not the key, we had quite our share of people with more sp invested outside of combat than on combatprofessions in the three successful runs).

I am sure AT-ST's helpped a bit.
Ask tanks they might help, yes. But we didn't use any at-st's for the three successful runs, and no other pets etc.
Just 8-10 players.
Ok, just finished the Neutral Destroy mission and got the badge. The thing is not impossible, but it is beyond reasonably hard is certian places. I was very pleased with our group and think we did fairly well considering this was the first run for 5 of the group members.
Group consisted of a Master Doctor, Master Commando, Master TKA/Smuggler/Pistoleer, Master Pistoleer, Master Swordsman/Brawler/Fencer, Master Fencer/TKA and a Master Medic/Novice Fencer. A small and average power group for the most part. One of the members had completed the destroy mission before and he lead. We made an effort to complete the mission, not kill everything on board. As a result, we did manage to get our badges.
First what I liked:
- The corvette and associated NPCs looked really good. I have to give some complements to the graphics team on this.
- It requires some thought, patience and team work to complete the corvette. You cannot just bull rush it or solo away from the group. There is a challenge in completing it and it's not the slaughter fest other "dungeons" are.
- Elevators, they allow you to break contact from the enemy and regroup
- Walking will not aggro you as fast as the standard run
Now on to the things that need fixing:
- NPCs and PCs shooting through walls, floors
- AOE

- Elevators, they allow you to break contact from the enemy and regroup
- Walking will not aggro you as fast as the standard run
- It's instanced, all the dungeons need to be made this way (nightsisters, genosian caves, etc.)
- The quest to get the ticket limits farming
Now on to the bugs we encountered:
- NPCs and PCs shooting through walls, floors
- AOE attack bug
- NPCs walkingthrough floors or walls, at least it appeared that way.
- Armor hole
- Dizzy will not stick on anything, bug or are they immune? If they are immune, I call BS.
Now the things I would like to see changed or improved:
- Battle Droids are not realisitic. In the movies these things dropped like flys, but on the ship they are harder to kill than most of the NPCs. These things need to be there more for flavor, than fighting ability.
- Super Battle Droids are beyond insane. We fought with one for a while before giving up and letting it slaughter all the NPCs in the area. 3 of them is excessive. Either reduce the number of them or bring them down in toughness. As it is, they are not worth the time needed to kill them.
- NPCs are not realistic. They need to dodge/counterattack/block and have higher defenses, rather than having increased HAM and AR. When are PCs going to get medium orheavy armor. The players going into this fight are supposed to be elite figthers, why does the enemy have more HAM and AR? Rediculious in my opinion.
- NPCs will not engage in melee combat. This really hurts the meleers and makes tanking excessively hard.
- The quest givers and directions need to be clearer. Had I not used the internet and had a group member who knew what to do, we would have never completed it.
- Risk vs. reward is way out of balance. Couple thousand credits and useless speeder schematic (needs parts from corvette, therefore useless unless you loot the parts) does not justify the buff, food, armor, spice and weapon costs that are incurred to take on the corvette. Loots need to be increased to justify the costs.
- Overhead map needs to only be shown for the level you are on. All the levels being compressed makes it really hard to see where your at, same goes for the Warren.
- Mind is the limiting factor, all but 2 of the incaps/deaths in our group were associated with mind running out. Back to the combat balance, mind needs to be healable or something. It's impact on combat is far too excessive.
Overall, I liked it. I don't intend to go back very often due to the risk vs. reward problems. The genosian caves are much more balanced in this department. I think that with a few tweaks (super and regular battle droids) and the fixing of the bugs, the thing will be quite nice. As it is, it is more of a novelty for the sadistic player.
Note: I did not make it to the bridge and we were trying to complete the mission, not kill everything. One group member ran in, entered the codes and ran out. It seems to me that you can't kill everything if you want to complete the quest.
