Will i be able to keep all my charecters on other servers? Or be limited to one server and 2 slots?
I enjoy playing different aspects of the game and playing on different servers allows me to do this.... without it i would not be playing much longer!
tis the only way i feel i get my money's worth.
I have not seen anything posted to imply that you would no longer be able to have multiple characters on multiple servers.

I dont CARE about Jedi. I dont want to BE a Jedi... Being a Dancer, I've developed a deep and abiding LOATHING for anything Jedi related!!!!
What I DO want is for you to do SOMETHING to get the freaking, masses of Mindless, AFK, Spamming, Holo Grinders OUTTTTT of our cantinas so that those of us who spent our entire careeers learning to be Entertainers can go BACK to WORK without being surrounded and overwhelmed by AFK, Spam Zombies.
Have you TRIED having a public conversation in a Cantina ANYWHERE in the galaxy??????
Have you Tried asking a Spamming Zombie POLITELY to stop? Want a new definition of Obscenity and Rudeness?? Try it sometime. The responses you get will Definitely expand your vocabulary of obscenities!!!! I grew up on Army bases until I was 20 years old. Most of the responses one gets to a POLITE and COURTEOUS request to stop spamming so that the rest of us can have a Public Conversation would make a Soldier or Sailor blush with embarassment.
Ahh, the beauty of the /addignore command. Try it. If you add all the afk spammers onto your ignore list, it makes it real easy to have a public conversation.
I think you miss the point and I actually see what they are saying. There is a lot of spam going on not on only in the Cantinas but at the Star Ports and Shuttle Ports too.
I for one think that I shouldn't have to be burdened using the /ignore command every time I log on to the game. It's a lot of unnecessary time and trouble to do this especially when it's a command that I only deemed to use when necessary for a offensive user rather than public conversation or advertisements.
However, never mind my personal opinions about how and when to use the /ignore command because when you get to the heart of the issue. It really dosen't solve the problem. It just sweeps it under the rug or like shoving it into the closet until you have no more room. Not to mention that ignoring the problem dosen'tmean it go away.
I also notice that a lot of the SPAM is being caused by fairly regular people as well, some who are on from when the server restarts to the next time the server reboots.
I've had the following ideas...
1.) SPAM should be included in the TOS specified as something that should not be done on any of the servers.
2.) A lot of the SPAM is actually advertisement. That being the case why don't we have a system like the Buzzars that functions as a yellow pages. This way people get to advertise their product and location, and those who want to purchase can have a unified place to look up those places. When you look at it, it's really not to different from the TV advertisements or Yellow Page ads or even what is printed in the news papers of todays world. Don't ya think?
I think we forget sometimes that a lot of spam causes a lot of unnecessary server traffic which is just bringing the server down and taking some of us along for the ride.
Good point!
And while I think that forbidding SPAM in the TOS would be a good idea, it would be virtually unenforceable for a couple reasons. First of all, so many people would still do it that they wouldn't be able to ban everyone -- there'd be very few people left in game! heheh The second reason is that you'd have to have a very good definition of what SPAM is. Is SPAM the Master Doc that's sitting down and shouting out everycouple minutes or so how much his buffs cost so he doesn't have to go through tell hell? Is SPAM the barker droid that the devs just spent so much time implementing into the game.
If someone stops me and asks where I got the weapons I'm carrying and I tell him "I buy all my stuff at the Phoenix Alliance mall outside of Coronet" and someone overhears me and gets offended that I "SPAMMED" them, will I get in trouble? It would just be too difficult to effectively enforce it. The CSRs would have to spend so much time doing that, they wouldn't have time to send canned responses to all the tickets that get opened. ![]()
Oops, I apologize for getting off topic.
Yeah, the Jedi revamp is looking pretty cool! This week's Friday Feature has me pretty excited about the whole process.

For those concerned about Jedi numbers, it will not be any worse than it is with thousands mastering professions. In actuality, it might even deter people from playing Jedi. The quest system will make you earn the slot, so it will cut down the Jedi population right there. The holocron farming system was so easy, the Jedis were a dime a dozen. Anyone with the right macros could master an elite profession in a day.

Sigh... this is so true.
To me, this will bring things into the same "mule" phase like other mmorgs.
Why would anyone want to be a smuggler...when they can just log on their grinded mule-smuggler, have a quick slice...and then log back on their "real" character.
There will not be any "real" crafters...when people just log onto their "mule-crafter"...craft what they want...and then back to their "real" character.
All crafters will become mules...I'm afraid.

TH are you going to "credit" novice and elite skills mastered as the same towards force sensitivity?
Novice skills tend to be far easier and quicker to master. Im a vet player and Ive only mastered 3 professions (because I found one I like so much), 2 of these are elite.
Of these (BE & TK) BE was a royal pain...should someone with that much dedication to their craft only develop as much FS as someone who ground out a novice skill in a couple of days? - if that!
I
Blueblooded,
I may have misinterpreted what was said, but as I understood it, credit will be given for the professions you have mastered that count towards opening your FS slot. So, if you Mastered 23 professions but only 3 of the ones you need for FS, you will get the same amount of credit as those who only mastered 3 holocron professions.
I know that, if that's the way they do it, a lot of hologrinders will be pissed off. But it does seem to make the most sense.
In any event, I doubt the devs are still monitoring this post since it's so old, so I wouldn't count on getting an "official" answer to your post. ![]()
