Thread: Publish 8 Testing Feedback: Miscellaneous Gameplay Changes
If Starports could travel to any planet, then 10 minutes would be fine.
but looks like Pub 8 is nothing big.. whoopie do.

HMMMMM?OK I will bite.Devs, Why did you leave it 10 min wait at the Starport?Just asking now istead of complaining. Maybe we can get an answer to this puzzling problem everyone seems to have.Thank you.
I would like to see an answer to this very question if i had a logical reason for this i might be a little ok with it. but i think it annoys 80-90% of us or more. and you would think they want the game to be as smooth and enjoyable for everyone as possible. there are several solutions and i read TH say something about being a reward for who ever is winning the civil war. that is the worst idea I've ever heard how much sence does it make that a shuttle comes sooner for rebels ofr imps. or what ever they are doing.
I can see the point about anywhere to anywhere changing the "trade routes" and this hurting some crafters or something cause its nice to know there is alway a doc buffing in corenet.
in closing it seems that you are not changing the star port times just to piss everyone off.
this problem will not go away and we will never give up

- Reduced the wait time on shuttle ports to 5 minutes (Starports are still 10 minutes).
Which of these changes do you like the most?
Which has had the biggest impact on your game play?
TH, honestly, you were so very close to having made one of the greatest, if not the greatest, change of all time to this game. You fell short however... and I am very saddened by it. I have tried to bring up a full tally on the 51 page post to show that the public wanted the STARport wait times to be 5 minutes, however time has prevented me from counting every post in that thread. The pages that I did cover showed an overwhelming support of lower STARport times. I realize you ran the thread to find out if lower STARport times and direct-connect STARport routes would ruin immersion. I realize that it was pretty split on the STARport routes... what I fail to see in that long thread is where we didn't voice that we wanted lower STARport times. I think 5 minutes is a good medium to meet on this. What does lowering the time hurt? NOTHING. Is there any chance at all you can possibly reconsider your position on this? This 10 minute wait is not immersion. It is not fun. Now, before I continue on... I know you posted that you guys had a plan for fixes to this horrible time sink. However, the downside to (what I think was a very cool idea) is that it won't be available until what was it... Publish 11 or 12 - the GCW Publish. This is about 3+ months away. Is there any chance you can give us the 5 minute STARport times that so many of us have longed and waited for? I hate wasting time when I could be playing... and standing at the STARport waiting 10 minutes is just not fun at all. It isn't immersion. Immersion would be if I were actually playing... but standing around does not immerse me at all.All I ask is that you please reconsider. At least let us know you've heard our pleas for lower STARport times. Which I know you have... why else would you have made the post about the ideas for the GCW patch? All I would like to know is... what in the mean time? Why must we continue to wait 10 minutes? Is it a technical issue?? Please rid us of this time sink. You are our only hope!!!Thank you for your time.
this goes for me to

Below are a list of changes made in Publish 8 that will effect the quality of game play:
- If a Bounty Hunter with a Jedi bounty mission is incapacitated by the Jedi, the Jedi loses his Bounty Hunter enemy flag.
- Tweak to Jedi Bounty Hunter TEF clearing. There is a 30 second wait before the TEFs are cleared giving the Jedi a moment to perform a deathblow if he/she so desires.
Which has had the biggest impact on your game play?
The issue is that if a Jedi dies and was not given the /deathblow by a BH with the Jedi's mission in his datapad, then the Jedi's mission is not cleared off all Bounty Hunter's datapads and mission is not removed from BH Terminals. The Bounty Hunter Enemy Flag is not the issue, it's the Mission in their Datapads and on the Terminals.
The Jedi gets a death counted against his total no matter what kills him. I fail to see how it's in a Jedi's interest to get killed to avoid BH missions...
Seriously, is theconcern that a Jedi will grief Bounty Hunters by dying just to cheat them out of their Mission? LOLWell, a death counteris a death counter, doesn't matter what kills the Jedi. So if a Jedi wants torack up death counter points justto grief the Bounty Hunters out of their Mission on them, then I say let them grief away.
Starport times = 10 minutes = bad
please reconsider so that both will be 5 minutes

Nothing? How did you come to this conclusion? Are you basing this on your believe that there is NO VALID server performance problem that the 10 minutes addresses.
I believe a better reply from TH is the reason for the 10 minutes. Is it truely an imersive reason, is it only a time sink, or is there a technical reason this long a wait solves.
I did ask him if it was a technical issue... I think it's in one of my posts on this thread page 2 if you read it. I've tried to plead that it is not immersive, that it's a horrible time sink... and that I want to know what the real reason why we still have the wait is. In which I asked (near the very end of my post) if it was a technical issue or not, that it would be nice to know the real reason.
Thank you.
Can you get rid of the red force fields covering entrances when mounted or give us the option of disabling them ourselves? I hate them and after playing this game for months I know I can't enter buildings while mounted without that dumb red wall getting in the way.
Also is there an ETA on disabling the screen shaking? There is a big thread in the Test Centre forum asking for the option to disable it because it's making people ill, I don't start pukeing when the screen shakes but I really want the choice to get rid of it, a dev said it was an easy fix and would be put into Publish 6 or 7.
