I love the new lighting and it is NOT too bright. Maybe gamma settings make them seem too bright? As a tailor, I need to leave my settings to default for proper colorization of clothes. I like the 'color' the candles give off. The lights are nice too, because they are bright it is nice in a large house. I don't need as many torches using up space.

thanks

I like the lighting you've added in.

It adds a nice decor feature to my Naboo house, and the lighting for this type of house is adequate.

Yes, I'll continue to buy it.

I recently purchased 6 free standing lamps. They are the tall white ones. I also purchases the 3 desktop lamps. I have a naboo house so lighting was required.

The thing that really disappointed me though was the fact that the free standing lamps which look white give off a yellow ambience. That's like putting plugging in a blue lightbulb and getting the color green. In my opinion white would increase the quality and brightness of these homes, especially the naboo architecture.

Well I looked at them.. built one of each.. and looked again..

Yeah the choice of lighting is good if you like decorated houses.

BUT from this architects point of view they sure won't make my re-newable income shoot up.

Nice general addition.. very poor choice for a renewable source of income for architects.

********PLEASE HOT FIX THIS!!**********

I made a few crates of lighting in a factory today and noticed that they degrade while in the factory. They also degrade in the bank.

Players need a place to store them without them losing value and we need a way to make them without them losing value. Now, when i make a crate its already down 10-20 min when i pull it even when i stand next to it and pull full crates as they finish. If i left them overnight that would be HOURS off their lifespan.

They only seem to hold their time on vendors and in the inventory.

Posting this on the Architect boards as well.

Colored lights would be good.
Having an option on the structure control panel to turn off ambient light would be good.
Having a way of recharging lamps/candles would be good, so you don't have to fiddle with picking up the old light, dropping the new light, futzing with the /move command to get it back into the same position...

I really like the new lights but I doubt I will when they all decay and burn out. Like the vehicle customization kits, I willstop using them. Have better use for my time, but hey, the cool factor was nice in the beginning, same with the kits...

First, I like the new light sources, but like many, I believe this isn't the answer to the renewable income for architects.

Secondly, they not only decay while in a pack, but as soon as they are made in the crate from a factory they start decaying. This has got to change to make it viable to sell the item in any quantity.

Lastly, It would be nice to change the color of them, and also remove the non-working ones that are there previously.

I really like the new lights and candles. I went out and bout a bunch of most of the different types. But i dont see myself doing this very often, seeing as i have more than 20 lights in my house. replacing them will be a pain, even with the new /move up/down command. I think there should be some kind of light bulb, kinda like the droid battery. And why would lamps wear out anyways? candles i understand, but lamps? I think decay is just a bad idea to begin with.

I forsee using them and having to instruct people on how to replace them once I'm done furnishing their house. Hopefully they write down the numbers I give them for the up/down movements

The lighting inside houses is odd though. When you look at someone who is facing a lamp, their face is in shadow. If you go around to the other side and they turn away from the lamp, their face is lighted normally. I think the shadow-generation engine is a little borked whenit comes with the new lighting sources.
