TH,

Are you aware of a bug where you get buffs and then you take a shuttle. When you get there you arrive dead. I shuttled from Coronet to the Dathomir Outpost and when I got there I was dead and I saw 4 other players dead also. This is an annoyance to me but for a Jedi it's devastating.

Yes we are aware of this, but its only in a couple of places and only on Gorath. We are working to remedy this as soon as possible.

TH -

Once again, I sought our Luke Skywalker and laid out his family tree. Darth - father, Leia - sister, Natalie Portman - mother. And - like every time before - he stares at me and says nothing. This bug has been reported numerous times, ignored by Devs, and it's just, just, just an outrage!

Everyone wants interactive SW characters in the game, all servers, 24 by 7. How hard can it be to station a RL employee behind every major SW character to playfully interact with the community?

This must be your #1 issue! (Oh, and can you guys re-consider the Starport wait times? How about 8 minutes? Seems fair.)

Nova Troopers? Are you kidding? People were farming faction? Give me a break...It should be the Imperial Players who support the crackdown. Not unrealisticlly powerful Super-Troopers.

Just keep ramping up the damage, yeah sure, that's what will make the game fun and challenging

GameSpy:How do you plan to connect both parts of Star Wars Galaxies so that they don't devolve into two separate games? Will there be quests or content that requires you to do stuff on the ground and in space?
Cinco Barnes:The space experience offered by Jump to Lightspeed is tightly integrated with the Star Wars Galaxies ground-game adventure in many ways.
Great job of making the playstyle like X-W v T-F and bringing it to the best MMO platform out there!

GameSpy: Do players take off and land manually? Or is there some type of an automated "break" in the game?

Cinco Barnes: We don't want you to worry about learning how to land and we definitely want to be able to thrust you into the action immediately. You'll launch your starship from a starport, and be taken directly into space via a loading screen where you can immediately engage enemy ships or plot a course to another planet.

Do you play hockey? That was the best deke I've seen in the 2004 playoffs! I am very, very sad we'll see no player-piloted craft flying about the sky, and the battle of Hoth is just plain not possible now. I already had a group of people planning to get into base raids. I was also very interested in the how game would change with tie bombers. It looks like we are going to see very divergent worlds. If this leads to NO LAG space battles as the load should be miniscule I could come around to enjoy it, but much like the jedi saber duel video was A GIANT LAGLESS LIE I'm afraid we're headed to the choppy, lag-plauged future. The Devs are not capable of predicting the future, but they are certainly capable of predicting the rosiest version of a non-existant future. I wish I could find the post where officially they claimed that flying into the planet was the desired direction. Blackman's comment a few weeks back about "flying bomber missions over Tatoonie" was a carefully constructed statement indeed!

" When you go to sleep, if you in fact sleep, does it take two star wars fans' blood to calm your nerves or are you higher than that now?

justG - When I am trying to go to sleep, and I am tossing and turning at night, the things that keep me up at night are combat, and jedi, and spaceflight, and things like that. Let me tell you this, we absolutely LOVE our jobs. And we LOVE this game. We are dedicated to doing whatever we can to enhance your play experience. And it usually only takes one fan's blood to drift off...

I'm curious to see when some content for your average player will be added.

The corvette, GBL, and likely the death watch bunker really only cater to power gamers, using the best buffs, best armor, and best weapons. Anything that hits for 1000+ with out a special, and 10k with a special, just makes me loose interest in doing it. I've been 4 times, always in a group, with some heavy hitters. By the end, its a race to see who can get the most wounds and battlefatique.

Im disapointed to see that your moving the storm troopers down off of the corvette, into the crack down squads. Yes, the imperial crackdown was pretty much an opportunity for faction farming in the occupied citys, but you could of come up with alot better band-aid that sticking a 200k ham storm troops in the squads. I've already accepted that if i get scanned, im likely gonna get wacked anyways. Some one suggested player bounties from the empire. Thats an elegant solution, code is mostly there for it already (jedi bounties).

So what is up with all these creatures? I can understand having a krayt with mega HP, but a tusken observer?

Speaking of tuskens. Please bring back the old fort. Where it would level from the low stuff (commoners, captains), to mid (savages, etc), to high (death hunters, gore chiefs), to insta-death (gore champ). Every one seemed happy with it. With the observer, you just avoid certain parts of the caves, and the mindless slaughter of wimpy tuskens resumes without a second thought.

All this new stuff, and your excluding a large portion of the player base. Not every one is a power gamer, not every on carries a 20 million credit exceptional/legendary weapon, and not every one uses 90% composite plate armor.

Give US a bone please.

vehicles:

vehicles in there current form have nade pet mounts nearly obsolete

what terrain is a mount better than a bike?

Iwould make some changes first that mounts are faster in mountainous terrain than vehicles

second that mounts attract less agro

we allready know mounts can fight but for non-CH thats moot

badges and awards need a graphical display and we need more medals and certificates and rank I would create a whole faction window for these items that display relevant info about faction

rank faction standing medals awards citations special favor chips

favor chips are items earned on quests that allow you to "purchass" unusual items or favors this could be things like having an NPC sneek you off planet without using a space port or getting the one time use of some NPC soldiers or possibly using favors as :influence" to allow you to do a quest

there would be several sizes of favors depending on the quest and the NPCs position

a favor could even be a "bribe" to keep from being searched by imperials or "protection" from the local hutts thugs

Really.

There seems to be a 10 minute or so "inactivity timeout" and preparing a post is not considered "activity" by this time.

I understand the need for inactivity timeouts, but it needs to be substantially longer, like 1 hour, minimum.I work with systems for a major telco (a baby bell successor company) and they allow at least that much timeout time on their web-based information and ordering systems.

Im pretty sure we extended the lithium time-outs to an hour late last week. I'll check again with the team to make sure that is on track.

Just to give more info on this, again - I just got timed out while reading the posts following my last one, on Page 2!!! I clicked 3 and I got dropped to the "We're sorry, but you must be a member bla bla bla..."

Yes, TH, you've extended it to what? 3-5 minutes, now? Thanks!

Why should mounts not be "nearly obsolete"? I mean, the only time people in the Star Wars movies (aside from theSand People and Gungans, that is) used mounts was when their vehicles weren't working.

Luke wasn't riding that Tauntaun because it ran up hills faster than a speeder and I'm pretty sure we didn't see any of thoseRebels in snow speeders getting mauled by snowbeasts (but that one sure did knock Luke off his mount).
