Okay, my FAMILY has 7 accounts and we all use them. I'm the only one that posts on the forums however.

We ALL want to log onto the game and play it, not stare at the ticket taker.

The other night I had 2 hours to play. Resources shifted. 1 hour 15 minutes of that play time was spent in spaceports. It was not fun, I did not care about "immersion" and I missed a really good set of hunts because I had basically 45 minutes to survey and plant for 3 resoures on 3 planets. I save ALL my 9 minute and up screenshots at the ticket holder. I have over 24 that actually say 10 minutes and 0 seconds.

10 minutes <> FUN

Yes we are aware of this, but its only in a couple of places and only on Gorath. We are working to remedy this as soon as possible.

Woo! unique content for Gorath!

When will rebs get some loving?

It's been almost 10 months now and we still have nothing to compete with the AT-ST (which is adirect contradiction of the devsstatements that players shouldn't be able control something over CL10 without devoting skills, yet it's CL125!)

Plus, now we get harassed and turned overt just for travelling in certain cities, andeven better,we get served insta-death just for running arround in the wilderness in the form of the new black hole STs...

Don't get me wrong, I like immersion, but this is a game and players like to think they can at least evenly compete with each other. I kind of like the fact that we are so "oppressed" and itdoes sort of add a sense of rebellion, but since we can't actually do any real damage against the empire what's the point of being a rebel? I once heard an idea about territorial control, which sounds great since it would give us something to actually fight for and feel that we are actually having an effect, enhancing the true spirit of feeling like a "rebel".

And please don't tell me the dead eye schematic, it doesn't even compare as it's useless for any master elite and, besides, itwas collectively earned by the rebels (and don't tell me the rebs "far out-number" than imps, as that statement doesn't fly with me from my online experience).

BTW, what ever happened to the rebel perks that were mentioned in the original instruction manual? Such as calling an evac shuttle from anywhere in the wilderness?

Anyway, all I can say is that I really hope in JtLS that the rebels kick butt the way they should own in space. However, if I see that imps get star destroyers as "pets" I will definitely be quitting.

Hello TH,

I'm quitting SWG and I thought it would be interesting for you to know why for, so here I come as I hope this post would proceed changes in the game and make me come back someday.

Let me tell you a bit about me and my gaming experience :

I love Star Wars Universe : I've seen all movies multiples times, read tons of SW novels andplayed the paper roleplay game for some time. I even bought, and played all SW based games... (even the worst ones he he)

I've been wtaching SWG since beta and I'm playing since day 1 hours and hours each day...

At first there where a lot of bugs but we had fun. I still remember the first time I saw a dark jedi, OMG it was insane but so SW feeling, trying to kill him with a 40 persons grouped with CDEF pistols and carabines!

Lately the game became more a work than an entertainement. And nearly all my friends left one after another due to "nerfing" and new design and concept.

Let me tell you what miss me and what would a player like me would like to see in SWG :

- decay : a way to prevent all decay or repair an object to 100% : I'm sad because I can't keep my stuff all my player life. It is very important to keep our stuff. This way we are writing a story with our char.

- healing : at start when we logged back on after a night we came back fully healed ready to have fun and ready for adventure

- loot : at start when we killed big mobs there was one or 2 items for each

- maintenance : I lost lot of stuff in a factory our of maintenance due to RL issue. You need a way to make the player pay for all non payed mainteance plus some fee to get his structures backs if he didn't logged since the email notification of decay

- droids : well new module = not bad, but we need more droids, more chassis...

- starport SPAM : so boring

- combat : actually the high end content is just insanely difficult for casual gamers, they don't have acces to this content, contrary to what you wanted at start. Do you think it is fun to get hit for 2 to 4k damage when you do like 100 damage to a mob after resists and you have about 1k ham when they have over 40k (up to 140k...) ?

- lairs : the ham amout of most lairs is just stupid = poor design. Explain me where is the fun to hit an emptylair for 2 min or more again an again?

- armors : the resists on composite are too high and on other ones are to low (but the ubese). There is only 2 kind of armors usefull for PvP. The encumbrance on armor is too high either and they decay way too fast.

- factionnal armors : oh well they **sel-edit** bring the schematics to the factionned armorers.

- cloning : I can tell you I miss the corpse run. I remember I had so much fun running back to try to grab my body surrouned by nasty mobs

- storage : actually it is a nightmare to sort all our resources, components, and decorations. We all have houses fulls of backpacks... Bring us a warehouse and give 75 items per slot usage on structures (uncaped). Remove the 100k limit on resources and let us mix resources of same kind for a new experimented one. Don't forget to make crafted items in 1k or more crates, where is the use of 25 items in a crate when you are making subcomponents... wasting database?

Well I think I could write 100 pages... hmm maybe only 99 ^_^ on what is wrong and what could be better.

The best example I have is the item naming colorisation : you removed it to add it eventually to the premium auction. Still you took something good and wich a lot of crafters enjoyed, giving back nothing to replace it so far... The easyest way to get around the premium auction would have been to :

a) leave the item colorisation until you can redesign a nice tool to choose naming colors

b) replace the premium auction with an uncaped bidding sale with buyout so we would use the game to bid and not an external forum for auctions.

I won't be able to write anymore in the forums an maybe it is better.

I hope you will listen a bit more from the players wishes.

May the force be with you and please bring this game in the right path : a fun game both for casual and harcore gamers, not another job with lots of nerfing and lead designers decisions unaware of what is good for... FUN.

Farewell

indeed, Q-3PO said that SWG is NOT an uber loot game like EQ (dev archive, post name "desired rewards?"). Uber loot has been dropping for a long time and still does. It must go, even the existing pieces. I have some exceptional and legendary stuff and as long as ALL such items disappeared from the game and none with those titles ever spawned again...I'd be cool with that...

Really.

There seems to be a 10 minute or so "inactivity timeout" and preparing a post is not considered "activity" by this time.

I understand the need for inactivity timeouts, but it needs to be substantially longer, like 1 hour, minimum.I work with systems for a major telco (a baby bell successor company) and they allow at least that much timeout time on their web-based information and ordering systems.

Im pretty sure we extended the lithium time-outs to an hour late last week. I'll check again with the team to make sure that is on track.

Nope more like 5 min inactivity timer

I love the game but just have a few complaints here. I'm sure you are aware of such things but let me just tell you again. The game is gorgeous for the eyes and to keep it as such there should be some more styles of armour especially in the helmets. The helmet is like your face while wearing armour and everyone DEFINATELY wants to stand out a bit. The customization is great for different variations on color and such, but when you see EVERYONE wearing composite with the same helmet look things go a little drab.

I'm not asking for whole new sets of armour just different helmet styles. I mean even if there were a few more styles of helmets (the more the merrier) the more people on the server could look different to stand out. There's just a little too many peopl running around with arguably the best armour in the game (composite) with the same looking helms!!! All fans know that besides Boba Fetts standoffish silent badass attitude another thing that made him so popular was his look. The style of his Mandalorian Battle Armour was exquisite but the helmet is the main thing. Any child or adult who has seen the movies knows just by the helmet who he is. Just shown the armour many ppl can still tell whom he is but not as many and mainly great fans like who play your game.

I'm just asking for some variations on helmet looks for the same armour classes. Some differences in style. Not whole new armour classes because I know the work that takes. Just some different looks add some extra flair to the already expansive and visually stunning game you have created. It's not too hard to toss in say even as little as 6 different styles of helmets for the most popular armour worn. More would be better of course. But when you play a game such as this and you waIk into a town and see over half to three quarters allwearing the same armour (composite) and all have the same helmet; just by adding a fewextra styles of just a helmet would add some diversity to the gamewhichI know all would embrace.

This e-mail may be a little long for such a small complaint but the fix should be almost as easy. So let me bring this to a close.

I know I'm not the only one writing about this. Or at least I should hope not. With such a visually stunning game as yours not to have some added diversity with a simple thing as different looks to players who are involved in combat; things can get a little drab...

Thank you for your time and efforts of reading something such as this and hopefully take my concerns to heart. Other games have many different looks offered to players and to just have a couple really limits your game here. This is my first e-mail to you having only played for a month or so and wont be the last. I love the game and I don't want to complain too much.

Dominic Sebastian

P.S.

Dark Age of Camelot (which I was recently playing and still have an account for) has sooo many differnt looks of clothing and armour for players to wear and appear different is dizzying. Almost nobody looks the same except of course for newbies. And for a game as old Dark Age to have so much done so well for being how old it is for an old MMORPG is well, crazy compared to this. The diversity is definately lacking here on your end and would definately be embraced.....

Why should mounts not be "nearly obsolete"? I mean, the only time people in the Star Wars movies (aside from theSand People and Gungans, that is) used mounts was when their vehicles weren't working.

Luke wasn't riding that Tauntaun because it ran up hills faster than a speeder and I'm pretty sure we didn't see any of thoseRebels in snow speeders getting mauled by snowbeasts (but that one sure did knock Luke off his mount).

Really???

you need to go back and rewatch things

EP I - Gungans, Tuskans

EP II Naboo, Genosians, Sandpeople, Caminos (the flying mounts)

EP IV Stormtroopers (dewback 20 min into the movie), Tuskans, Jawas

I think you get the idea.

Mounts had more uses are are in the movies more than vehicles for land transport.

Devs, why not take some polls on the starport wait issue? You could manage this easily within the forums so we can all see the percentage of people that want starportwait times at 10 minutes and starport wait times at 5 minutes.

I personally think that the 10 minute wait is too long and that there is no immersion taking place.

Thanks.

TH...How about you come and face the smuggler community!

We still have f' all idea on what our revamp is going to have, out corospondent does, yet he's not allowed to release what he has. Why are you keeping our profession such a secret? Is it because you KNOW we won't agree with it?, Why aren't the smugglers of SWG being involved in our revamp like the Chefs and DE's were and the jedi are? Time is now passing till publish 9 TH, woulldn't it be better to get feedback now instead copping a **edit**storm of abuse when it goes to test?

You spoke of improving communication a while ago...... the smugglers have seen nothing of substance that showa you are keeping that ideal alive. We are still being ignored like we always have since launch.
