Thread: Test Center Update Notes May 5, 2004
First I must say that the new interface is absolutely sweet. The only thing that is annoying imho is the 2 minute timer you have to wait for to accept the changes. I guess the sole purpose of that is to keep people from power grinding (everyone knows it's the easiest grind in game).
The stat migration option is still available to non IDs, but what makes me wonder is that not a single point was migrated until now (roughly 20 minutes). I don't remember how long it took pre-patch, but I must admit that I'm a bit scared. Let's just hope the best.
The one point I still don't get, why do we need a stupid tent to do the advanced modifications? Crafters have personal crafting stations for their house, so why do we get an ugly tent instead of a personal IDing station for our beautiful salons we put much time into to place everything? Please, Devs.. give us personal IDing stations. I refuse to work in an ugly tent.. heck, I even hate merchant tents *sigh*

Guys, learn to READ!!!
It said ID's will be able to change stats faster than the default Stat Migration speed. The original method is still useable, its just ID's will be able to do it faster, for a price of course. So, if you need to have your stats altered for a midnight guild raid and you can't wait for 2 days for it to change, you just call up an ID and get it right then and there. Or, if you want to do it yourself, just control+c it and do the default stat migration.
Read between the lines people! They are providing another option, not making it the ONLY option. Sheesh!!!
Glad to see you took my suggestion to heart. Thanks for taking the time to try it out before rephrasing an opinion that's been repeated several timesby usinglarger font. You're a real credit to the player base.

"Go find a doctor to bufff. Pray I find one at all. If I find one there is a line (good thing is that my stats will be migrated by then). Stand in line again for buff. Lost time another hour!"
an hour?
a master doctor can heal wounds/apply enhancements every 15 seconds, there are 6 stats to buff, that's 1 minute and 30 seconds, or 90 seconds. If you're having to wait an hour to get a buff, there must be 40 people ahead of you...? If there are 40 people ahead of you, is there *really* a doctor shortage as you say there is?

Jesus...complain complain..I want my professions to be fixed..make us useful. They give you something & people still **edit**. Honestly I bet it was hard for the Devs to find new things for an ID to do. Now you will be busier from the fickle people who migrate 5times a week & the noobs. The holo emotes are cool. Don't give me this " this is so un star-warsy " . This whole game is nothing like the books or movies. We have 50 jedi on each server..mando armor..nova troopers..I could go on & on..holo emotes are hardly the item that will destroy what little part of star wars we have left. You got some love from the devs..be happy.. It could be worse , you could be a BH.
Yeah all us people out here begging for BUG FIXES for the past 8 months are just selfish as hell.
Uh,.. Have you any clue how often i tweek my stats? Sometimes iI will change 20 or 50 points around just because i got a new weapon with slightly different HAM costs than my last weapon... Or to be able to equip all of my armor after having to replace a piece..
Maybe i fiddle with my stats more than most people, but this change will hurt creativity and controll of our toons.
Let Image Designers change stats instantly and even change stats a little beyound the race limits. That would make them ultra popular. Just dont take away my ability to have control of my toons stats please.

I just logged into TC with 2 different chars (one is ID, the other is not) to see the changes for myself.

First off, thanks for actually going to TC and checking it out..just fyi, when i stat migrate on ahazi, takes a really long time for the change to go through. Generally, that is fine by me,makes me plan ahead when i'm changing profs for example.
It would be nice to get quick stat fixes so to speak from MID's but again... damn hard to find anyone with ID skills as itis ![]()
"I think the stat migration change is great. Seriously, I never needed to visit an ID because im not the type of person who wants to change the way I look. Now I will have to visit an ID for any migration and thats good. This will definately increase an ID's business and make them important part of the game."
YAY, I agree. I am no longer an ID, but the reason I had dropped it a few months ago was because I didn't get a ton of business. Was kinda a boring profession. I like that new abilities are added as it will make more business for ID.
MY question and reason for responding actually was to find out when these ID changes will take effect in the actual game. I am wondering if Rodians such as myself will have the option of having PINK hair or even pink skin. Was pink a color added to hair/skin for my species in the palette additions? Thanks

as one of my fellow ahazians points out, if an ID is required for any stat migration this is devastating because there are maybe 4 ID's on ahazi on any given day (not necessarily at the same time) and probably 3 of them are hologrinding..
Just wanted to point out that a city like Coronet ...and even the other cities listed may not be the best place for them. There are cities on each planet that are beyond dead when it comes to population and these are all cities that are jammed packed with people all day long. I know for a fact that Theed, Coronet, and Bestine are always crowded without something like this.
Why not place them in the dead cities that have nothing going on...get a little bit of population in them. Some cities such as Bela Vista, Doeba Guerfel on Coronet would be perfect because Coronet is lagged out, Kor Vella has the imps patrolling...those two cities I listed really have nothing going on ...ever.
Just a suggestion. The stuff coming looks good and should be fun.
"Note: Players can no longer do their own stat migration, please consult an Image Designer for pricing"
So even if you can do it yourself on TC its obviously not the way it was meant to be.
