what in god's name are you doing migrating your stats once a day? are you THAT fickle?

"Go find a doctor to bufff. Pray I find one at all. If I find one there is a line (good thing is that my stats will be migrated by then). Stand in line again for buff. Lost time another hour!"

an hour?

a master doctor can heal wounds/apply enhancements every 15 seconds, there are 6 stats to buff, that's 1 minute and 30 seconds, or 90 seconds. If you're having to wait an hour to get a buff, there must be 40 people ahead of you...? If there are 40 people ahead of you, is there *really* a doctor shortage as you say there is?

I migrate my stats every once in a while, mainly when I get new armor and depending on how heavy it is. I'll live with this change, it will make my gameplay a bit harder, though.

To answer your second question shortly, yes. Very few of us docs are willing to buff the public anymore, mainly because of the few people who are whiners or are very rude. I know I hate doing it, and have better things to do with my time. Sure I buff my friends/hunting party members, but that's about it. Here's a quick breakdown of that:

  • If I go overt, pull the AT-ST, head to Darkness Falls on Dant (player city with improved job market), I can pull 30k missions solo.I can run a pair of Janta/Mokk missions in a little under 15 min, and be back at the terms doing it again. With delays and my 'messing around', I still can make 500k credits in about 3 hours (length of a buff).

  • If I were to buff people for money in a high-traffic place such as Coronet, because of lag, it takes around 18 sec per pack application. Add in the 10 sec on the start/end to provide price/stats/etc and make sure the payment got to me from bank tips, deal with the overwhelming stupid that flows from some of the player population, and to be nice enough to say "thank you" to people and the like, that's 2 min a buff (on average).

  • If I had a continuous line of people (which happens), over 3 hours I could buff 90 people, or there abouts. I would also require the patience of a saint, and all the supplies to do this. +25 bivoli lasts 15 min, costs about 3k per use. That's 36k in bivoli, about 200k in resources for my buffpacks (I make my own, only buying some resources).

  • To make the same amount of money buffing as I do mission running it would require me to charge at minimum 8177cr, and have the absolute patience of mother theresa, not to mention it's the absolute most boring thing in the world for me to sit around in a sea of spam dealing with people who have IQs equal to that of the average houseplant.

Again, in short, the answer to your question is, yes. Most of us docs have ground down the numbers as I just did for you and have found it just not worth it to deal with the poor attitudes of most of the player base to bother buffing the public, so an hour long search is about right.

What he said. All you people whining about not being able to migrate stats on your own are the ones who need to learn to read and stop pointing out that others can not.

The only thing REVOKED was the ability for the normal player to use the ID Stations to Migrate their stats FASTER.

Your stats will still migrate as normal without an ID.

Again YOUR STATS WILL STILL MIGRATE ON THIER OWN, YOU DO NO NEED AN ID JUST TO MIGRATE YOUR STATS. YOU WOULD NEED ONE TO DO IT IN 10 MINUTES.

I now return you to your regulary scheduled program...

actually, viewing the original post .. it says "..this functionality has been revoked.." to me that says, i can't stat migrate anymore, at all, at any rate.. anybody on TC try this without an ID yet? with or without a station? kinda need a definitive answer otherwise this is just an argument over symantics just as skedoozy here is doing.I can't check it atm,i'm still at work

as one of my fellow ahazians points out, if an ID is required for any stat migration this is devastating because there are maybe 4 ID's on ahazi on any given day (not necessarily at the same time) and probably 3 of them are hologrinding..

You know... I'm not sure how something that was never given to the player base can be revoked. People (including Image Designers) have never been able to use the stations. When they say revoked, they're referring to everyone's ability to migrate their own stats.

At least make the ID stat migration instant when standing in a "booth"... 10 minutes is like waiting for the starship but the starship can only take a couple people at a time... LOL something seems to be a bit out of whack.

Alright, not sure what happened to my last post, but I'm not retyping the entire message... short version:

Let's stop passing off our opinions and interpretations as cut and dried facts (and ease off the CAPS LOCK and font sizes) and get some actual information on the subject. Short of a dev coming back and clarifying, we need a report from someone on TC. Anyone have a chance yet to go and try modifying your stats as a non ID?

My reading also suggests that they're changing this so that non-IDs can't migrate their stats slowly or otherwise and that only IDs will be able to do this in any form. But clearly the wording leaves enough ambiguity that not everyone comes away with the same impression; and I'm sure there are plenty of people who are quite capable of reading an interpreting English on both sides - despite the senseless allegations and name calling.

(looks like I did end up retyping pretty much the whole thing... sigh)

I have to agree with many people here that this is one of the WORST changes made to the game.... absolutely horrible idea. I don't even know a ID and the only time I have seen one around was a Hologrinder.....yeah great job screwing people over though.

My heart goes out to the IDs on this one. Tailors have felt the sting of the player base when things were implemented that we didn't ask for. By not discussing these changes with you beforehand, the devs have guaranteed that IDs will:

  • Feel hostility from people who couldn't care less about the ID profession

  • Be spammed every few minutes by someone who wantsa stat migration right now

  • Have to abandon your nicely decorated ID studio and be forced to share a tent with other IDs

  • Have received their their day in the sun with this "revamp" and won't urgently need things like ribbons, tattoos, or wavy hair anymore

Tailors wanted clothing decay implemented. What actually was implemented is a joke and is disliked by both tailors and the player base alike. We're still being blamed for this by the player base and we're still feeling the sting.

Tailors wanted more schematics. What did we get? A Wookiee pillow that's used in the crafting of Wookiee armor. Worse yet, armorsmiths never actually purchase these from us. They bring us the expensive materials that they can afford to purchase and then ask us to make them a schematic. While there are some armorsmiths out there who are generous, the vast majority only pay us a pittance compared to the hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of credits they'll make from the finished sets of armor. "lolz why should I even pay u it only took u 2 seconds 2 make the schem noob"

And what do these two scenarios have in common with the ID changes? The devs never asked any of us for feedback on the changes before they implemented them. I'm hoping there's still time to give you IDs what you really wanted and were hoping for.

I'd gladly pay an ID to do it in 10 minutes for me. ie, they start it, then send me on my way.

I'd also like the ability to do it myself, but taking a slightly longer period of time that it does now

By design the way it was to work was anyone could use the ID Tents to do it faster. Seriously if they took away the ability for anyone to migrate their own stats they'd have to be pretty slow in the head.

Guys, learn to READ!!!

It said ID's will be able to change stats faster than the default Stat Migration speed. The original method is still useable, its just ID's will be able to do it faster, for a price of course. So, if you need to have your stats altered for a midnight guild raid and you can't wait for 2 days for it to change, you just call up an ID and get it right then and there. Or, if you want to do it yourself, just control+c it and do the default stat migration.

Read between the lines people! They are providing another option, not making it the ONLY option. Sheesh!!!

The reaction of the players is typical, a test center update has been put up for TESTING...instead of logging in onto the TEST CENTER and TESTING it and making up your opinion based on your experience, everybody gets hysterical here without even trying it out..........

I would really hate to seethis happen, i change my stat migration daily depending what weapon i'm using this week, it would really SUCK to find a ID to do it for me wich are even more rare then jedi.
