I'm in total agreement here with changing the amount and type of credit given to the people who engaged themselves in the old system of grinding professions.

It's much too obvious to myself and most, if not all other people who dedicated much of their game time to unlocking their Jedi, that bypassing the new quest content in the Village is the wrong way to give credit. This Publish was long touted as removing the inane type of grinding of professions which have been killing this game and replacing that system with a quest based one. These quests are a miniscule fraction of what is needed to achieve one's Jedi and its plain to see that this new system at it's core is another grind of the type we have grown to hate and not really based on quests.

Bypassing new content will reduce the time it takes us, but at the same time (and more importantly) it reduces the amount of FUN we will have in following this new path by allowing a straight shot to the grinding we all love to hate. If anything, give credit in the form of FS xp because that is what we've already been through.

Since this is feedbackI well give my two cents...

People who unlocked during Patch 9 Which is still live were told they would be a jedi under the new system.

So far we have heard nothing to back up TH past statement.

Reason we ask for another statement is cause "It seems that every time the Dev team says one thing another thing happens"

Also Can someone tell me from the Dev team why People Who Unlocked with patch 9 Which is the same means to unlock with all other patch's IE Holo Grind would fall under a new system to have to grind out Mill's of more XP? to to get a trainer saber....

If Patch 9 unlockers Get FS tree's unlocked but not the XP isnt thata slap in the face?

Cause You The Dev team informed us that we would be a jedi under the new system...

Which FS tree's is no way a Jedi... We should get the XP for the FS tree's. Cause those tree's really have nothing to do with Being a Jedi they are just perks...

But that only a small % of the players the Major % of players are people who have done alot of Prof's to have yet to

"unlock"

What kind of credit are you giving them Free FS unlock of a tree?

they should also get credit for the non holo prof's in the form of XP towards the FS skill tree's IE for each non holo prof they get ---- Amount of XP towards any of the FS tree they wish.

Thats my two cents...

Lets see who pick's the ball up or drops it now.

Thanks,

Please make sure someone that did 4 holo's and stopped on the silent gets the SAME hologrind xp as someone who did 29 holo's and did NOT unlock...after all they are really the same distance from unlocking...one more class is all that is needed to unlock...the person on 29 professions and counting gambled and striked out on not unlocking... NO ONE FORCED THEM TO GRIND THAT MANY!!!

ahhh now this is a person that want's somthing for nothing.

every one should be granted equal credit on the holo's they did,

but u should reward for each proff mastered after that. u know like a source of xp or a certain amount of xp for each aditional proff afterwards.

...... NO ONE FORCED YOU TO STOP GRINDING AT YOUR SILENT.........

The Regular XP to FS XP is just fine. There is no need to decrease the conversions at all. If all you need now is badges, and at least 3 elite professions mastered, then why are you complaining? Badges are easy to obtain. As well as mastering 3 elite professions. I have a feeling of why they created this new system of obtaining Jedi.

Before, with hologrinding, people were mastering, then dumping the profession, and moving on to the next. You would buy up resources, and would leave credits left over. All these people who were selling the resources/armor/weapons/etc.., were getting rich, and were having to try harder to obtain more resources. Causing inflation. Now, with this new system, people can hold on to what ever professions they like the most, while awaiting Jedi. How does this help? More resources to the player population. Lower in prices, because more things will become more common.

Now lets look at the FS XP that is required. We'll look at combat for now.

You need 50,000 FS XP for novice.

700,000 FS XP for the first row.

1,000,000 FS XP for the second row.

1,400,000 FS XP for the third.

1,800,000 FS XP for the fourth.

It's a lot, don't you think? Especially since regular (we'll use rifleman) rifle xp converts at 30 XP per 1 FS XP. So 900,000 rifle xp, converts to 30,000 FS XP. That's a lot of grinding! But really, it's not. If you play 3 hours a day, you can easily complete the WHOLE combat tree in 82 days. If you play 12 hours a day, you can do it in 3 weeks. But why grind it? Play as you normally would. If you're combat, go hunt. Harvest resources. Find loot. When you max your XP, convert it.

Now let's see what will happen if they lower the conversion, shall we?

If the conversion was 1:10, it will take 55 days at playing only 3 hours a day. At 12 hours a day, it will only take 13 days.

Let's lower it a little more. How about 1:5? Like many of you have requested. 3 hours a day, 27 days to master. 12 hours a day? 1 friggin week! What will happen? Server full of Jedis. I don't want that, I'm sure others don't want that.

Juust stop complaining. The new system will work. It will balance everything out. And if you think I'm wrong, say so. Just my opinion.

I'm of the opinion that whole problem with the old system was the total lack of content resulting in grinding random professions in the hopes of unlocking by chance. Now that you have come up with these quests that actually have some content why would you make the hologrinders skip those? I would assume that the hologrinders would much rather do interesting quests and be given trees or some kind of XP credit than skipping the one thing people were requesting from the start!

I mean in my case I am on my silent holocron and I didnt feel like wondering aimlessly through professions in the hopes I'd unlock

what is different in the two? person A who only did the holo's chose to not go any further and or didn't have time to go any further.

If you can't figure out the difference between the two on your own then you won't understand it if I explain it to you.

Sorry about that I accidentally sumbited before I was finished Anyway to finish what I was saying..

I mean in my case I am on my silent holocron and I didnt feel like wondering aimlessly through professions in the hopes I'd unlock. That was my choice and I am fully prepared to grind more than people that did 20+ professions. I'm looking forward to doing the quests as long as they are made available to me. I'd like to hear what the hologrinders think. Do you all not want to do the quests and get tree and or XP credit or just skip quests and continue the hell that is grinding?

When I logged onto TC2 on Eclipse this morning, I had only 61 badges and "a strong sense of the force" with /checkforcestatus.

I haveNOW achieved an inner glow with only 62 badges.

Here are the details on the badges...

This charachter has been on Eclipse since day 1 and is played regulary.

11 Profession Badges (4 of those professions were holo professions, and 1 was my starting profession)

3 Cries of Alderan badges

2 Warren Badges

1 Jabba's Quest Badge

1 Imp retreat badge

1 Trivia Badge

1 Nym's Quest Badge (this was the only badge I did today, and got the inner glow)

0 corvette badges

The rest ofmy 62 badges are POI related and collector badges.

I am a Imperial if some are wondering on the faction issue.

I am now goign out and waiting for the old man.

I am still unable to be visited by the old man. I've been told to shuttle around a few times and he should come up to you.

That kind of conflicts what we were told when TC2 was going. We were told he woun't spawn near any cities of any kind.

Can anyone confirm this? Will he in fact spawn in a player city or regular city once shuttled in? And the fact that I have to shuttle around, is this a bug?
