If I may make a constructive suggestion for future updates?

It's obvious that the code, database and/or load differences between Test Center and Live are different enough that every patch brings up some unpredicted problems.

Perhaps next month there could be an additional step before all servers get patched? Pick a "guinea pig" server cluster (a different one each month) to patch a day or so before everyone else. This would at least give the network guys a fighting chance at isolating problems that crop up - and the rest of the community won't be hammering on the website in dissatisfaction.

Just a thought to prevent a similar fiasco from happening every month. That said - I appreciate the forthrightness with which you admit to problems and attempt to fix them. Thank you.

Hold up a second the new guy in his introductory letter talks about and I quote -

"After the high priority issues with the patch have been solved, we will return to our regularly scheduled Bug Friday, which is focused on fixing individual professions as quickly as possible."

Please for the love of the almighty do no do bug fixes on a Friday again - we lose the entire weekend if there are problems. Please do the patches and bug fixes through the week - but never on a Friday....

Pretty Please?

JediTimbo, sorry for the confusion, Gary did not mean we would patch bug fixes on Fridays. He meant that the designers stop everything else they are working on and only fix bugs internally on Fridays. Those fixes get rolled out as hotfixes or, more likely, in a publish.

Krayt scales do not work still. There seems to be a little bit of a change, but when we experiment on the final product, the % doesnt increase like other special catagories.

I just read the "Update Issues Status" thread and got somewhat concerned.

NOWHERE in there are droid engineers stated.
You are aware of that this patch made us useless?

#1 Newly made droid deeds can NOT be tamed. You only get an error message

#2 The customization tool seems to give everyone the whole range of colors no matter if you're novice or master droid engineer.

#3 Customizing a droid works nicely... until you store/call your droid.
- LE-repair, Probot and Surgical droid keep their colors
- No R-model, mouse or power droid keeps the color after store/call
- Considering that fact that I can NOT get new droids (see #1) I can't check the other models for you.

#4 Protocol droid has ONE option when customizing it - GOLD. Even at master there are no other colors.

Please please please don't leave us hanging (and broken) .... pretty please?

I'll build you a cooking droid if you're nice?

Any

good to see you swallow your pride and finally accept yourselves for the fools you are.

now go print out that post and show it to your execs.

then, tell them to take the code to Calcutta, India, pay a tenth of the price you cost, have things fixed 10 times as fastand fire you fools.

then, quit the industry... or stick to hangman or tetris for PDA's.

constructive enough?

I hope the new guy is better

The worst thing that you did was with the mission terminals. I am a Master Ranger, Master Ch with all my leftover points in medic. I play as a wookie with a bowcaster. I've been playing this game since beta 3 and am not a NOOB. How am I supposed to make money or have any fun at all now. Either fix bowcasters and make them more powerful or fix the bjorked mission system you set up. My gawd man don't you know that every time people start having even a little fun in this game yall just come a long and NERF THE LIVING **edit** OUT OF IT!

On the update list, it mentions that armor is working just not as much as it should. I think you are wrong here. On an intial fight after logging in armor was absorbing some dmg, not as much as it should. (got the armor absorb messages) After this fight I never got another msg again, this was after 20 plus fights it then just stops working, but even worse dmg seems way to high even still.

I understand where you say the patch added the things you meant to, they are working, just some other issues. Okay fine, but to keep it in perspective, the game is UNPLAYABLE now, I type that in caps to help you understan. Almost everything in the world can kill you, I wasn't eve able to check harvesters with out dying.

You would have been better off rolling back the patch yesterday, and trying again next week. My guess is it will only be marginally playable over the weekend. There are too many issues I think to assume these will be fixed correctly without introducing/breaking other things.

Q now that we know your alive again or have the time to read, the harvestors are messed up its not a display issue like we thought, please let us know if you are aware of this, and also the dmg on pvp i really don't care if it's intentional the battles will last longer but take the dmg away from the flamethrowers and medics dots or there will be no pvp for a long time.

thank you

I didn't see any mention of the Weapon, Droid and General crafting tool problem. Currently it contains all schematics, including food, clothing, armor and structures (like the Generic tool, except that the "advanced" schematics are there too).

You can't experiment on an item that's not supposed to be made with that tool, but it's annoying to have to page through windows just to make a powerup.

Also, when you activate a WP in the DataPad, the name disappears, making it a pain in the @$$ when you try to turn them off again.

Another issue that isn't so much a bug as an oversight:

Now that advanced planet missions "scale properly", CHs are getting the shaft in missions because our CH level/pets don't add to our effectiveness for the terminal determining what missions we should get.

Pre-patch, I was getting Lvl 60 missions which I could usually complete with my Graul Mauler and heavy stim use that paid 20k credits. Now I'm getting Lvl 17 missions that pay 2600 credits that spawn creatures that aren't a challenge for my Graul Mauler -- I get 1 CH XP per kill. Without spending all day on Endor running missions, it's not even worth the ticket over there, if only because I have to pay a lot for my PetStims.

And if adding a combat-level range based on CH skills is too complicated (I can see it being tricky as it depends on which creature you have/are using) how about just instituting an option to take higher level missions for anyone? Perhaps a command such as/setmissionlevel X where X is the level you'd like to get.

One more thing...

- Droid no longer make any sounds. Well, the walking/rolling sounds are still there.
But no bleeps, gonks or boops are heard anymore.

Intended? I hope not!

Concerning the additional 75% reduction in pvp. This wasn't in the patch notes again, so it's not a clerical error. I havn't actually particapated in pvp since the patch, so I can't confirm that.. BUT, it seems to have been placed into PvE. While running out to rip up my harvesters in a wild panic, I was shooting at critters along the way. Shot a chuba, combat log reported 2122 dmg.. usually, since my laser carbine as an AR of 2, this damage would've been quite a bit higher, around 4000, but instead, a bright pink 300 popped up over his head.. this happened with everything I shot!

So, please please please tell me the 75% damage reduction that seems to be in PvE is going to be removed. Or whatever else it could be.
