This change was long overdue. I was about to quit the game because most of the professions are still buggy or broken completely, but now that we can paint.... well, I guess I'll renew for another 1 year.

Yea a standard set of decals would be cool.

Are we going to be able to change names of the bikes?

Also, when will we be able to color all types of armor like the bikes?

I'm out of here! I'll be hunting wabbit, again...

Ilike what you guys have done. Congrats.

I would like to present you with the followingsuggestions though.

1. Make both the Frame and Trim color palates identical, so it would be easier to make a solid color vehicle.

2. Also, I noticed some parts of the vehicles dont get painted, like the 2poles that stick out the front on the bikes. It would be nice if those changed color with the frame as well.

3. It would be nice to know your current speed, so you can judge which vehicle is faster over what tereain and slopes. This would olso be a useful feture for when walking and running or using a creature mount.

Thanks

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

After 6 months of being live.... another example of poor execution of a bug ridden, half-finished, half-thought out publish.

I had my datapad get corrupted when I left some waypoints active as my Jedi and then logged in as my main toon. I could still see the wpts that were active on my Jedi. I tried to delete some wpts and they didn't go away. Now I have wpts I can activate by selecting them from the list accesses thru my waypoint monitor but those waypoints do not exist (are not visible) on my datapad. Something the coders did when they messed with the system left a hole where the corruption can happen.

Many people on my server are having a problem with the vehicle trim not sticking....its about 3 outta every 10 people. I can vouch because i can changed the base color but not the trim..it always reverts back to red. I've made the best out of it and used the red in my color scheme but it is still a bug.

Don't you just hate yourself for having grinded holo-professions? I'm gonna

Vehicles
  • Improved Vehicle performance.
  • New tool allows players to 'paint' their vehicles.
  • You can now have 3 vehicles stored in your datapad at a time.
  • Radial menu will now update properly after generating or storing vehicle

  • I got the above straight from the posted publish notes.

Well, unfortunately i wont be able to test the customization tool until tomorrow, my droid storage compartments are in the factory now.

Improved Vehicle performance??? I didnt see a change. What is this improvement? Was this in how much it will cost for repair, or is it the rate at which the condition goes down? I checked the rate. My swoop still took 25 to bring out, the speed bike 13, and Landspeeder 8. Whats the change TH?

Yes I got all 3 vehicles and had no problems getting all 3 into my datapad.

The last still doesnt work properly. When i got to coronet I still had problems storing my vehicles after riding them.

I like it but did you remove the eventually fade away part of the coloring? I mean I am sorry if you hadn't noticed not many people willing to keep pumping money just to keep something a certain color.

Love having three vehicles in my data pad...but.....

I thought we were gonna be able to start pulling them out without a need for a camp?

I like the fact that the droid storage compartments are required.. it encourages players to interact with other types of players. If you could do the whole thing yourself, there'd be no point in playing an online game...

#1) Why do I need to use a Droid Storage Compartment to build these Vehicle Customization Kits? Sure, Weaponsmiths and Droid Engineers and others require components that are found in the Master Artisan skill box, but many of those people just become Master Artisans themselves to build those things. Artisan is the foundation for these Elite crafting professions, so it's logical that the Elite crafting professionswould use components from the Artisan profession. However, I'm certainly not going to become a Droid Engineer and grind up a skill box just so I can build a Droid Storage Compartment. I'll let you know in case you don't already, but Novice profession crafters don't want to be forced todepend on an Elite crafting profession for single parts to schematics. Remove Droid Storage Compartments from the schematic for Vehicle Customization Kits, and people *might* actually make them.

#2) Why oh WHY do I have to use *quality* components to build a paint can? I don't want to waste good quality copper just so somebody can paint their car a different color every other day; I need those goodOQ/CD metals for weapons! If you absolutely must require some kind of statistic for experimentation on a paint can, make it something that is *different* from every other *useful* schematic in the game, something like Decay Resistance. Basically, you get one charge on the Vehicle Customization Kit for every 10% you get from experimentation, so using low quality components yields kits with only 1 or 2 charges. Since almost every ranged weapon in this game requires resources with high Overall Quality and Conductivity (even the ranged weapons that don't fire energy rounds!), I don't see many people justifying the use of those important resources on a simple paint can.

In my opinion, if you want Master Artisans to actually make these kits, you need to remove the Droid Storage Compartment from the schematic, and change the experimentation dependancy to something *other* than Conductivity and Overall Quality.

Yes they are. I just made a load of them for my vendors.

Of course, now that they seem to be stuck at 1500hp.. along with swoops and speeders... *sigh*

Yes, OceanMoon is right. It was my mistake - but it still doesn't make a lot of sense.

Landspeeders require a Crafting Station, but Speeders and Swoops do not. That's why it wasn't coming up for me.

As you said - doesn't really matter anyway, since new vehicles are stuck at 1500HP.

Lucky for me, I stocked up my vendors before the patch in anticipation of the new demand for vehicles (since anyone can own three), and once that were manufactured pre-patch (even if tamed now) seem to have normal HP levels.
