Hey guys whats the deal - we get a group of developers to come out and give us some kewl info and everyone is tripping out. Take a minute to thank them for putting together the game you SPEND hours playing everyday. You do play the game dont you? Its a great game and nothing is perfect (everyone has had their ups and downs) - lets show some respect to ourselves and the game we so enjoy created by them- otherwise get the fook outta here and go play Diablo. Sorry but Im just getting heated from all this negative crap. Go play Everquest or something or just be a Man ( it wont be easy for some) and deal with it.
Note: Even I get pissed sometimes - not always for the right reasons at the right people.
Note 2: I also saw a Handfull of the CORE SWG team ( TH - Ronda - Q - and you know ther rest). I am very happy that all of you took your time to make it. Very kewl.

I have no problem thanking the developers where it is due.
Thank you for working hard to make the game. Thank you for trying to give us feedback when you really cannot.
But, I have to agree with most posters here. The Developers really skirted a lot of the real questions and gave us half answers and marketing propoganda. I was expecting (along with many others it seems) much much different from the "droid invasion".
HINT: You can avoid backlash and much of the hostilities by properly setting our expectations BEFORE you release a publish.
I share the concerns of many others about the jedi slot. What happens to the second account some have now? Do others get a secondcharacter slotto dabble with or are current jedi going to loose a slot? You obviously cannot leave some with 2 and others with 1. That simply would be unsatisfactory.
Before any others, I would like that question answered the most!

Maybe not 5 indeed. There were 21 questions answered and many of them dealt with important issues.
If your questions didn't get answered maybe you were not asking the right questions, or maybe you didn't read at the beginning where it told who to ask and how to do it. You can't always rely on someone else to ask the questions that you want answered either.

Like I said..I was wrong...but the fact is that there are many many people who are looking for some answers from SOE on the jedi\bh issues that pop'ed up with publish 7. The chat was supposed to be about the droid invasion, pub 7, and pub 8 (and no space questions). With the goings on over the past few days I, among others, have been asking for a dev response to the bugs that came with publish 7 and there has been very little, if any, posts on the issues (specifically jedi\bh issues)...not evn a "we know and are workin on it". Nowafter the chaoswas well underway Tanks (Bh corr) made a quick post saying just that. What I don't understand is why did TH make apub 7 feedbackthread forbh droid tracking issues, which is now many many pages long, and there is not one response. They know our questions and decided not to answer them. Iasked my question in ankind and calm mature manor, and I'm sure others asked as well. All you have to do istake a peek at the BHboard or the Jedi board to see that publish 7 did a great deal of damage to both professions. All I think peopleare asking for (including me) is somesort of acknowledgementor post on the matter.

That's alright. I just wanted to set the record straight because so many people are saying that there were 3, 5, or 7 questions answered, and there were many more than that answered.
They can't answer every question. This chat was one of the most informative I've seen so far. I know it didn't deal with your profession's issues, but it dealt with many important things to many others: the wookiee armor, the species secondary stats, the new jedi unlocking path, droids, etc.
I'm sure TH will notice your thread. That's why he makes them. He has many many many other boards to read through, and he can't post a reply in all of them. He simply would not have time to do that and still read all of the messages that he has to.
Everyone take a deep breath and remember that it's a fun game, even with an occasional bug... and the people that often get flamed and yelled at are the same people that made this whole game possible. They do deserve at least a little respect from us.

So why was a question concerning RIS armor even fielded without addressing the fundamental fact that the stats shift and the armor is practically worthless except as a novelty ?
And Haden even feels the need to pop in and say they are adding Mandalorian to the game ... lol I'm sure it will probably suffer from the shifting stat bug and be just as worthless as RIS always was. Maybe they can make getting some Mandalorian even harder than RIS lol.
Did anyone forget that when the game was in beta and as it launched, there were a few comments from the dev community that Mandalorian armor was included in the release in a limited number of existing sets ? ...
Seems like every public forum SOE gets involved with turns out to be filled with issues that don't address the communities main concerns ... gotta keep that PR engine running smooth.
Can't quote, anyways I'm kind of afraid of this. My character is a wookiee. I hope there's still a way to open a seperate slot for the FS character. I mean it's interesting to be a wookiee jedi, but not sure if there were such thing as wookiee jedi's back then... or were there?
The Jedi revamp is dead on. Much closer to the original idea. Much more roleplay. And a much bigger decision, which way to go (thus keeping the population low). With permadeath gone and skll loss in effect this might work.
People hated the single character/unluck second idea, now they hate this. Always the same.
Only problem is what happens to the existing jedi - and will it start a even bigger holoslave avalanche. And how will my four holoprofs done be handled. (actually, since i like Epic Quests i would rather start from the beginning and not half way thorugh or something but many will be pissed if the work isnt appreciated)
I am looking forward to it. Now you have really have to decide wif you want to sacrifice your ingame life to be a jedi (and not your real life as it is now for many)
Why did it take so long?
Shuttletimes also good - traveling from each port to each port is a bit boring, but it will lower lag in coronet and maybe give the other cities some more life.
And just to make sure everyone hates me, change Theed in the process.
Space -i understand the news blackout, but the community has use for information that is of no real consequence for the marketing of the thing. There must be infotidbits you can release to the people that know the game already, that wont screw with the E3 campaign.
(announce that only devoted Test center players will get in the beta and the server will be full for the next few publishes
Magnum
1 question regarding "17:42] [Keldarin] There also won't be a specific Force Sensitive slot anymore, you will actually enable the Force skills for your current character and progress from there."
What happens to existing jedi? Granted I dont hunt anymore because of the clone camping but when this is fixed should I even bother? I cant believe that existing jedi will be wiped but I would surely love to see it confirmed from a Dev.
thank you
I hope we get to see a friday feature on the new jedi system soon. A lot of players are spending a lot of time trying to become jedi. They want to be assured that their progress towards their goal is given credit in the new system, that jedi remain fun to play, etc etc.
I think legacy jedis (players who already unlocked their slots) should not have an advantage of having two characters.
They should give the player's first char jedi xp equivalent of their jedi character, enough so the main char could develop the same skills.
Also there will be need for a big revamp on jedi auto suficiency, since there will be no rich main char to support it...
Anyway, i hope to see fewer jedis, and only really hardcore players at that, more in line with the star wars universe
