Im on the TC very very much, so please send it there as soon as it's done so i can work out the bugs, im major bored atm from just sitting here waiting for something to happen. Watching jedi go by and have fun bores me even more, because i can't do nothing to help myself. So send the finished/partically finished product here to TC.

I dont know if anybody has written this already (as i was to lazy to read the last 8 pages) but in order to keep the city of australia or whatever low populated u should make it somehow "invisible" to all who are not jedi or fs or something. You should have to do a quest from some npc in order to gain access to finally be able to view and approach and talk to the npc's in this city. It could be some ghetto jedi mind trick that you cant see it or something but it would protect it from people just camping there.

You and everybody else knows that once that location has been found out by at least 2 people..... the whole server will know within 24 hours, guides will be written, people camping there selling "ive been to australia city and back" t-shirts and memorobilia and waht not.

if you dont want to read that paragraph above, in short words, find someway to keep the city a secret and low populated plz, or it will become the next coronet AKA spam city

to clarify:

this is ONLY for FS non-Jedi characters?...

i dont really understand the point of this, unles it's an instanced sort of thing that takes maybe a week to finish at most.

currently, FS non-Jedi arent huntable (as far as i know), so they dont need to hide.

while i LOVE the idea of the journal and of quest-based FS unlocking and skill progression, i think current locations will more than suffice (especially "places of power" like Dantooine and Dathomir).

now, to adress how that should be done, i dont really know.

in the era that the game takes place, being force-sensitive can be scary, unwelcome, and even dangerous.

in the game itself, being FS is only positive, generates no trouble, and allows for the general wooping of the non FS community.

frankly, i think the amount, depth, and visibility of FS content in this game should be MINIMIZED, especially while so much of the core community needs to be satisfied. (see Combat Balance and Smuggler Revamp).

now, i know that FS promises attract cash for the company, but please show us that you listen to elder/veteran players for once, instead of bickering idiots who want Mind heals and nothing but FS content.

TH, i know that many of the failed promises about the game have been out of your hands, but please let us know why Ground Game and nonFS concerns seem to get the back-burner so often.

Thank you.

I LOVE both concepts and I can't wait to see it implemented...I just hope that the Jedi population doesn't expand too quickly (I think it's too big already).

Quit reposting pages of old text. Throw your tantrum elsewhere because spamming isn't helping your case.

Oh yeah, and back to the original thread (before it was hijacked by little brats who thinkSWG isall about them)

The Village idea is a cut above the lameness of holocrons, but not by much. On originality you guys get a F-, as for stalling the community yet again, you get a B+.

You don't have anything that could keep me interested in this game anymore, not even tie fighters and lightsabers.

This is what I thought the path to becoming a Jedi should be like.

I love the idea. Keep up the good work.

This is pretty depressing, we've now been told that we must sit and wait to become FS? I would be willing to bet that time played has a part in this equation.

Back when the game was launched, you (devs) said in the casual player would be unlocking after playing the game for a year. We spent the first 4-6 months trying to figure it out, trying all kinds of combinations instead of thinking simpleton, that you just have to grind out enough professions. Then you had to put out holocrons to tell us to grind professions, because we had focused alot on (gasp!) doing quests and such to unlock. Unfortunately, it was a system that didn't give the casual gamer a chance to unlock, because most jedi's I've talked to always say it took 25-32 professions grinded to unlock. Hardly something that the casual gamer could accomplish. I consider myself more than a casual gamer, and I've only managed to grind out 16 so far. I have been playing for over a year now, where is my fs slot you said I would have achieved by now?

Now you would like to implement a system that takes me back to playing guessing games. You want to make us jump through invisible hoops again, extending how long it will take us to unlock by who knows how long. I doubt there are that many players that are NOT playing to become jedi someday. Personally I am tired of waiting, and have absolutely no intention of playing your little guessing games again for 6 months to a year. While I welcome a quest system that certainly will show ALOT more ingenuity then just grinding out profession after profession, having to guess the steps along the way is insulting to me and anyone else who has done everything they can to grind out as much as they can to unlock. IMHO all your doing is rewarding those who didn't have to go to work, or take care of thier family, or anything else except play this game for 20 hours a day, and hindering the rest of us who have tried just as hard, but simply didn't have enough time. We should not be set back to launch, we should be able to continue on with the time we have available in a quest sytem much like the other quests in the game.

Given how hard the newer content you have been adding to the game lately, namely the ackley cave, corvette, and death watch dungeon, I have no doubt that you will purposely make it so hard that only those uber fighters with thier comp armor and million credit weapons can even have a chance in, I'm sure your already making the jedi quest system so hard that alot of us will never be able to complete it anyhow. Isn't that hard enough, that being a wookie CH I will have to team up with a bunch of uber ninja looters to even try the quest, let alone have a chance to complete it? I haven't been able to participate in any of the new content because I don't have uber armor that lets me stand toe to toe with stuff in the ackley cave, and I refuse to give up my pets I spent so much time and money to obtain in the first place.

If I'm going to play guessing games, I'm going to guess which other game will actually give me a fair chance to be successful in it, because obviously you have no intentions of giving me that chance.

Kkelly, i think you're all wrong here. You expect the "casual gamer" to be able to unlock without much work within a years time but you don't understand the problems this would cause. If every "casual gamer" unlocked by now (assuming they've been playing since launch) then what about the more-then-casual players and power gamers on every server by now who no-doubt have Jedi by now. You're looking at a population OF jedi, not a population WITH jedi, in which case the game would more then likely cease to exist.

Also, any thoughts that you are being "pushed back to launch" are rediculous. Every single profession that you've completed thus far will be rewarded in credit. What else could you ask for? Jedi on a silver platter?? I've completed 20 professions and I'm currently working on 21 and I have not unlocked but I do not whine about it because I'm not playing with a FS character. And if I so quickly got it (i've been playing on server since Jan. of this year) then what is so great about it? This should be something that is achieved, as you said, and not given away after a year of "casual gaming".

I'd suggest looking back over your options and maybe selecting a new profession if you're not happy with CH because you can't solo most areas, continue getting credit for the new profession and then jump into the quests. I garuntee you if you do this you'll find Jedi so much more rewarding because you will have EARNED it and not simply recieved it. Like I said, 9/10 jedi, the way you seem to want it, is hardly worth achieving.

I like the idea of the village and the quest jounal. I disagree that it should be instanced but it should also not be open to any player, which I believe TH said it isn't.

As for everyone that says "finish the combat rebalance", you need to understand the time that it would take the two systems to complete. It would most likely take 2-3 times as long to rebalance combat, which is something that TH has said over and over that they are working on. The Jedi revamp/quest system is something that a majority of players have been worring over as well as something that can be done a little bit quicker while the combat rebalance is still being thought out. Iassure youthe Combat rebalance is something a little bit closer to the hearts of the Devs because they know that they screwed up on the Jedi system hard and now need to try to cover their tracks while the combat system is something that they were trying to prefect since the launch of "An empire divided".

Love the idea of a Quest Journal. Could you include a way to restart a single quest from the journal?
