Thread: Publish 8.2 Feedback: Death Watch Bunker
Again I just have to ask ...
How did the mandolorians get Superbattle Droids and Normal Battle Droids ?
Guys Lets Forget whats in the Movies - I used to Waste countless hours wondering why the Game isnt like the Saga.
THE MAIN THING here is that a group of 10 Elites should be able to Kill a SBD in less then 5 MInutes. The more you Pump up the HAM the more your doing nothing but Boring us. The idea of this Bunker is great - The Super Battle Droids need to Be Replaced with a Wraith or Ghost or even a Named. Resists are Uber high - NO fun at all - My server is Kinda small and we do not have tons of Big guilds. How is a guild with 5-10 guys gonna see any of this stuff? Since when Do numbers get Rewards over others?
The other night I Went prone and started shooting at the Super Battle Droid - I would come back every 5 minutes to see if it was dead. After 25 minutes ( Lunch, shower, and Laundry ) it was dead.
Some people only play 2 hours a night - how are they gonna enjoy this place? Why is it only for the masters with Huge guilds?
BoBa and Jango were not a part of a Huge clan - they worked alone. How did they acquire these armours?

The Experience:
So, last night, after doing the NS, a failed attempt of the Corvette (yeah you guessed it Super Battle Droids, yay!) and a cleanup of the Geonosian Lab we decide to head off and check this new "content" that everyone (I mean the DEVs, most players don't even talk about it) is so hyper about. So we prep up, head to Endor, rest, get Doctor and Musician buffs (we thought they'd be enough at least for a while) and the insane amount of three of us jump on the bikes and head out. After an uneventful mid length trip we store bikes outside the bunker, throw a couple of jokes in group chat and go inside.
Seeing as it was our first run in the place we had no idea whatsoever how things worked so we casually attack the two Battle Droids at the entrance, one of them starts screaming and pop, four more on our head blasting like insane. Damage is really starting to pile up as we're only two Swordsmen and one Fencer and despite the fact that we do dish out some serious damage it still takes five minutes per Battle Droid, maybe more off the top of my head now. So we run out, regroup (pun intended) and run back in, killing them off. Happy people unlock the first door and in we go. There are some Black Suns but those go down pretty easy, so our hopes are starting to look a bit good, until we walk in the next room and the Super Battle Droid comes running.
We start gnawing its head slowly and finally down it, after killing about twenty Black Suns that were constantly respawning around. So we make a fast break down and left into the room with the four Battle Droids, some more blasting and choping but before we kill the fourth one the first two start respawning again so we're forced into the corridor where we carefully take them apart. Small pause for a breath and in to the next room. Black Suns everywhere, some chopping and slashing and we're done. Now comes the fun part, some Death Watch ahead so we naturally have to fight them. From that point on starts an hour and a half of drawing and killing and respawning and killing and swarming and killing and aggroing and killing. Needless to say we didn't get past the room, we somehow managed to survive a huge rush of Bloodguards along with that named dude that dropped the key and died a bit later when the uncrated mind food run out.
My Comments:
Was overall fun, especially after the Super Battle Droid because my God that was boring beyond boredom. Is it just me or did the Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids become the universal solution to making the game challenging for players? Have you seen one new "content" area lately without a bunch of them? Where is the continuity now, where the Trade Federation just hands out thousands of Battle Droids and Droidekas to every idiot and his mother that suddenly appears in the game world? Is it me or does continuity only apply when it comes to limiting the players?
The mobs dropped too little for the time and effort taken to kill them. I think we looted a total of two gels and some jet pack component after three hours, give or take. You'd think after killing all those Black Suns we'd get fed up eventually and tear of a limb along with the armor. Fine on the non dropping the BH armor thing but not dropping at all? Oh and just in case you DEVs think credits are considered a drop, well they're not. We make much more doing simple mission that don't cost us 12k of armor condition and tons of expensive food.
The Super Battle Droids and Battle Droids kill the fun of the Bunker. A good number of Death Watch and Black Sun mobs are just as challenging without being insanely boring and taking fourty minutes to kill. I need to remind the DEVs that we, here in Greece, pay insane amouts of money to be online, discounting the monthly fee for the game, hence we'd like our time to be spent creatively rather than slowly eating away on the mind pool of a mob that respawns one minute after killed.
The respawn rate needs some serious fixing. The Death Watch and the Black Sun are organisations of elite composition. How exactly do you justify the hundreds that spawn every minute? Why does this apply only to this place and not other places with high rarity drops (see Nightsister Stronghold) where Axkva Min respawns once per DAY? (or is that a mistake on the DEV that thought minute was day and messed up?) Please let the players have some feeling that they're actually achieving something, and yeah the place slowly emptying as they progress does lend into that feeling, the idea of getting under more enemies the deeper you go in because you'll have to fight the same crap you killed to get in just to get out, is at best hillarious.
The Super Battle Droids and Battle Droids kill the fun of the game. I haven't seen so overpowered, overbuffed and underthought mobs since I started playing. Granted the game is new, needs some time for things to steamline blah blah yada yada. Sadly we're paying to play now, not in three years where it might actually be worth playing. Droidekas should be what the Battle Droids are, Battle Droids should have the current Droideka build and Super Battle Droids maybe double the current Droideka in strength. No god damnit, they were fodder in the movies, why can't they be here as well? Are you people running out of ways to make the game challenging and the only solution is overbuffing mobs? You seriously believe it is fun when a Super Battle Droid is just as slow to kill as a Krayt Dragon? You HONESTLY think we're all so happy to fight a humanoid mob thats HARDER than an almighty Dragon? My GOD you need some lessons on analogy.
Is the game becoming an Elite Fighting Profession only place? You start saying you understand the Musicians and Dancers and all crafters complaining that they need new stuff. And in you go adding a place that groups of elite fighters that know their stuff die like butter. What's the Musician going to do play bad so they all crumple to the ground holding their ears? The Dancer maybe lapdance for the Mandalorians and get a free tour of the Bunker? Or the crafters are supposed to bring in gifts to appease the Mandalorians and start prosperous trade routes?
Summing up, I'm trying to be as understanding as possible about the condition of the game but the DEVs are just not letting me. I surely hope the Jabba Casino doesn't need you to kill 200K HAM NPCs that cheat in cards or whatever. I have two accounts running and yes I'd like to see my money paying off in the fun department. I'm really starting to believe its no point in playing a game that has the storyline already played out because there is actually no room for being creative, things are going to happen as they did in the movies in the end, we can thank Lucas for that, if we let it to the DEVs the Empiror would die from some aprodisiac, Rebels would become much like hippies runnning around spreading flowers and messages of love and cooperation, and Ewoks would rule the galaxy as the new Empire of fur and spear.
There, a long one but I've been quiet for a long time. I really don't think I'll be renewing my accounts much longer and from what I hear this place is going to get pretty empty when the new MMORPGs come out in the market. Sorry to say this DEVs but you have a disappointed playerbase and you do nothing to make it happy. Where I work the client comes first, if I treated anyone like you treat us I'd be in the office of the jobless, looking to work as a road cleaner or a male striper or whatever. Can anyone actually claim the analogy of happy clients to unhappy clients in this place is right?
Get a grip.
We are now up to 22 pages, 95% of which are negative responses, and not a single Dev comment. They were back in the office yesterday, even had time to comment on minefield, and more ID changes. But not this wonderful new content they added. Some feedback would be really appreciated right now.
SBDsDO NOT MAKE CONTENT.
You all ask why we get an overdose of (Super) Battle Droids with AP3 ?
Because you cannot poison them .... if the devs put Death Watch or Black Sun human mobs there, they would die in 30 seconds to an overpowered Combat medic area mind poison ticking at 1000 HAM per tick.
So before they fix the combat balance, using combat droids is their one and only option .... the thin red line drawn by player toon blood seperates ridiculously easy and insanely hard here.
Have fun

My problem is... there's no point. The hack sucks, we have no AS in the PA who's hit master yet, and only 1 BH who can even wear the armor (the friend who went with me is a wookie). From what I hear the pistol is also not worth it.. and I was also informed that the new TKA weapon schematic isn't even dropping now.
I've stuck with the game for a long time, since August. But it quickly became aparent to me then, and nothing has changed my opinion, that the developers relied much, MUCH too heavily on people being excited about roleplaying STAR WARS, and skimped on content. The DWB shows you that "atmosphere" can only take you so far before poeople get wise and realize that a game is supposed to be fun.. not waiting almost a year for it to maybe live up to it's potential. If this game was called Space Quest, and you could potentially get a secret character called a Galactic Warrior... I'm betting they'd have had to close the servers by January.
The only reason I stay is because of friends. And I'm betting it's the same case with a lot of people.
Just my two cents.
the difficulty is great.. thank gawd... we wont be seeing everyone and their droids wearing mando armor
the 30fp is kinda rediculus... i just wish they would make the vette where you couldnt just run through it and get schematics and such.
i know people who just get a ticket to go up there.. run to the loot rooms.. get the loot and eject. is that what you guys were wanting when you made the vette? thedwb is awesomely hard.. i love it!

Since ya had to go up w/ a group of 10 to complete the mission... you have 10 schematics w/ no powerplant. You would have to go up at least another 10 times to get the powerplants.... or so it would seem. Or are these just "ninja looters" you are speaking of?
Up to 33 pages now w/ NO Dev Response?? Yet they now want to turn the "Weekly Roundtable Discussion" thread into a solo topic each week... claim it would be easier for them to respond to the issues then. THIS DWB Feedback thread is a solo topic... why haven't they responded to this???
Very curious![]()
When are the overgrown playstation addict developers going to deliver some "content" for the rest of the playerbase that is not combat oriented? How about something that is mentally challenging? Yes, I know, a totally unreasonable request given the track record of the dev team.
Furthermore, the fact that this thing is all more EVEN LARGER rocks to break with hammers with a craptacular risk/reward porportion indicates to me that the developers have a one track mind down a tunnel where the light at the end of it is an oncoming train.
