did i understand correctly, Light Jedi will fight one another for rank? along with the voting?
if so , i would say the one who initialized the duel would automatically be flung down the dark path, for striving for possision and power, shame on you.
I agree with some of the others. It SOUNDS like a great idea. BUT my experience with the GENRAL player base is this WILL BE used as a griefing tool. Maintaining a powerbase of the early Jedi.
Or are there mechanics in place to ensure if a Jedi "outscores" others in PVP a pointspread ensures there moved up? Is the voting used for those that are "similar" in score?
It is a grat idea but it will be abused I fear...
Will our sabers be balanced against the current weapons such as power hammers and stun batons that are now hitting the same range of damage our current sabers do (1000 max damage?).
Will we lose our current banked XP? For example if we are 1.4 million xp into working towards the apprentice(3.2million xp) box will this xp carry over in the revamp?
Will Jedi still be able to wear armor at all? As in shall we have a choice between armor or robes.
Will there be alternative methods for acquiring pearls/crystals other than looting them and camping the mobs that drop them?
Simple yes or no answers to these questions would solve a lot of current debate. Thanks.
Pleasegive some though to the effects of someone who has a bunch of cash to spend...and can get ahold of 4 or 5 Jedi accounts...and single handedly take over a server'scoucil or duel/ladder system.

Please reconsiter any voting system for Jedi rank. I beg you!
THIS IS A HORRIBLE PATH TO GO DOWN!!!
Master Yoda, what do you see?
Mmmm clear is the picture this destructive system brings...
Having a Jedi voting system gives the hard core power gamers the Jedi
councel. Are you a casual gamer that had to spend a Year or longer to get
a Jedo, well no one knows who you are and no one cares! And since you
are not ingame giving away buffs and credits and having fun battle hours on end
no one will EVERY vote for you!! HAHAHA Power Gamers RULE!!!
Who is this Jedi?? Does anyone know him or her? I don't! You all
know me! I have played 24/7 since DAY one and power leveled my PA
and helped every one of you to get the best of the best. Now vote for me!
The larger PA's with the highest number of Jedi will ALWAYS be running things.
PA's supply the best equipment, buffs and support personnel to Jedi.
What about the people that have taken a YEAR to get Jedi ! The casual gamer
Jedi's will not have any respect because the are not known by the popular group.
Look at the PA's that have Jedi and you will see that those PA's will always
have Jedi in the Highest Ranking order. Period!
People will do whatever it takes to grief the system.
1. Websites - Come to the secret Inner-Cirle Jedi website where the "elite" Jedi are.
2. BRIBES - Vote for me and get 300,000 Credits!
3. Equipment. - Vote for me and get the BEST items that my 24/7 power PA can produce!

Difficult to see. Always in motion is future.
TH, on the idea of mains become jedi and then being perma-overt once you take the Knight Trials. Will Jedi then be able to take part in their faction? What will happen to say a person who becomes a Dark Jedi but owned an AT-ST previously? Will this give them a distinct advantage in Jedi vs. Jedi PvP in order to advance?

I can absolutely see that happening. Heck, if people are willing to exploit Jedi Bounties to level up their Bounty Hunter they'd certainly be willing to do the old "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours."
There would have to be some form of checks and balances, but how exactly that would work or be implemented I can't say.
OK, So say I am uper-cool... Everyone Likes me... I am stoopid-fast with my lightsaber... All dark Jedi fall before me... Vader quivers in his boots at the sound of my name...
I get "Elected" to head the Light Council.... So what? Do I get a rice crispee treat? Or perhaps a Cookie?
It's not like there are any "unknown" threats that we'd need to discuss...
Is there a REASON behind the council? (Other then a very interesting Ladder System?)
