With the limited-use schematics coming in, what will happen if you crit on the assembly? What will happen if you crit on the experimentation?

can we get this for every item in the game (such as RIS armors, weapons)?

it would be nice for armorsmiths to keep the rare loots and for weaponsmiths to keep the krayt tissues....

Thats a good idea and I've been working with Logix and Jaato Walls (Weaponsith and Armorsmith Correspondents) on that. I'll definately see what I can do.

thank you

but if the product is considered VERY rare, then you might keep it the way it is

Update for Publish 7 (thats the next publish after the crackdown)

For Jedi Lightsaber Crafting, if a Jedi suffers a critical fail, the player will keep all the rare items (pearls, crystals, etc).

The only thing they will have to replace are the "regular" resources.

TH, listen to what the jedi community wants. Jedi do NOT want pearls/crystals in the current system to work how they are. The majority of jedi out there want these removed as loot components in the game and either found or crafted by a jedi so we can remove them out of the economy.

The problem is that many jedi are gated because they cannot afford these components, either than or Krayt's are being hunted non-stop and their are afk-macro'ers camping the low level spawns that drop crystals. Then they are being sold for outrageous amounts of money.

I ran a poll a few days back and gave jedi the option if they could use the current components and not crit fail and not decay if they would like that for lightsaber crafting, or if they would like to be able to craft the components and have the crit fail rates and repair rates what they are now. Most jedi overwhelmingly went with the second option.

If Lightsabers are going to require that jedi spend between 3-10 million per pearl to make a lightsaber (so a 5th generation costs between 12-40 million), Decay and Repair really need to be addressed. People are going through 3-4 lightsabers even trying to get through the innitiate profession. This is a huge factor in the game!!! At nothing else, please address the current loot drop system in the game and not force a jedi to rely on one's main account to get everything for them.

you guys are opening the door if you do this for jedi your going to have to do it for all the other classes that use rare resources like krayt tissues etc...

Rather than just giving out freebies, would it be difficult to implement a critical failure insurance? That way, all crafters will be treated the same (eg architect will no longer get no critical failures). Anybody crafting with "rare" or high resources can always insure the more important component.

An insurace rate of 2.5 critical failure rate is fair. So setting insurace at 10% of assessed value is fair (for assessed value, I guess you just have to pick number out of thin air).

The insurance will prevent market flooding (eg items which used to go poof no longer does), which drive down the market and is not fair to those who had set up such a business. The critical failure insurance would be a great money sink and go with the precept of no free lunch.

Can we get about 4 more devs to confirm this?

But all of these items are replaceable. How about when we lose something absolutely and completely unique: A dna template?

Pearls and crystals are all unique, the stats have a wide, wide range.

The experimentation rates are acceptable, but the assembly rates are way too high. You realized this before. That is why you made the appropriate chages to Architect. The assembly crit rates should be almost nil at master of any profession. Especially if top rate stations and tool is used.
