Sounds good. All I ask is that the place be instanced, ala Corvette. It should also be on a new planet, but one only reachable by a special shuttle. This would prevent people from camping and put a slowdown to griefing.
This is probably the most halfway decent idea I've ever heard from a dev.
If only you would work this hard on the Combat Revamp.....

How about instead of the story line of refuges, we replace with hidden jedi.
This is in the cannon! If you play the table top Jedi the story after the purge Jedi still remian (this is a GALAXY and therfore lots of areas to hide)
Apparently the jedi had busines vnetures and holdings in many manufacturing/exploration/minning companies.
After the Purge many jedi went into hiding as workers/operators of said companies.
You could say the earnings from these meager investments could afford a "village" of sorts where the heads of the companies could train and "interview" those with potential. This would follow already established cannon from the rpg side as well as incorpoerate any ongoing ideas you have running!

Village is good.
As for the fact that it wasn't in a movie... neither was the number of Jedi now on each server. We want Jedi and to be able to become Jedi then the devs have to do it someway, this is as good as any.
I kinda like the idea of making it instanced.
An additional player house that only Jedi can have, and only in the "village" to keep all our cool Jedo secret stuff would be nice...
Please?

Sounds Good on both counts save the fact that once a few ppl start running the quests there are going to be guides out and the secret will be all but that ..
if you can work in random mission generators more complex then the current ones you have running please do so ...
other then that just make sure the village has it's own dev on call to boot/ban afk spammers to keep it a nice quiet calm town ...
Atown without overts ..

The idea sounds great, but the problem has been usually about time. I don't think anyone wants to wait another month or 2 for the publish to come out so we can start back creating jedi again. It may not be easy making the publishes, but time seems to be a big matter for most people, including me, especially with jedi system deactivated for new jedi. Turning something back on would give us something to do, whether it be reactivating the jedi system or giving us taks to work towards it until pub 10 comes out.

It's one month before Publish 10 tops.... end of August.

To make it simple none of us really want to see anybody camping the village, make it instanced.
Also, Bring back Jedi Saber TEF's Seeing all of the Jedi just run around freely without a care in the world is just plain wrong. I personally wouldn't mind having to run in fear of a BH to get my Jedi status or have to keep it a secret from the public of players. I'd imagine it would be a lot more fun to roleplay that way too.

Yeah, about the instancing...
I really, really don't want to have 10-12 (at least) BH's camped outside of the Village waiting to kill any Jedi who comes out. The only way to counter this, I think, is by not only instancing the Village but making it accessible to FS characters ONLY.
This is supposed to be a secret place, right? Why not make the FS characters buy their tickets to this place (better yet, don't even put a shuttleport/starport near there) from a NPC who is somehow connected through the story? Only FS characters could get those tickets and those tickets, just like sabers and such, cannot be traded. I'll let other people develop this idea, but for what it's worth I think it has some potential.

Wow, that sounds awesome. It also sounds a little too ... non-mysterious as how to become FS. I dunno. I'm sure there is stuff here you aren't telling us, or maybe I'm misinterpreting sometihng. It sounds like a good idea anyways. The quest journal sounds good too.

uh! I have just saw this!
With this title, I would have never believed what it talked about, hehe
Anyway, I like the concept. I think (and this is my opinion) that it integrated well enough with the time-frame. It is not an unbelieable story, more than that, it seems very plausible, I like it, I mean!
I like the idea of the Quest Journal, more if it is written in a clever and entertaining way. Maybe clues are in the text (I know not all of us have a gift for puzzles, but a bit would be great, it is always entertaining. I know people will seek internet guides and answers, but this is the kind of place I would allow it... anyway, you can enjoy the path, or force it, but for the people who enjoy puzzles is a perk).
And well. I haven´t read anything more than the intro of the thread, so my excuses if I am duplicating posts
