ill add my 2 cents
I like the Idea of the Village. I think that that adds a cool aspect to the game.
The part I dont like is that the path from normal to Force Sensitive will be not known. there were a number of us that desperately want to become JEDI and we have spent a large number of hours doing what we thought was the right thing to open our force slot, but due to lives outside of a game we were not able to spend the hours needed to open our slots. not the method will change and be secret again. So what about the statement that characters will recive crdit for the work that they have put forth will be rewarded.(Not a quote)
So by doing this you are restricting Jedi Chracters to Power gamers. I pay the same amount of money to play this game as anyone else and I should have an equal change of opening this slot as anyone else.

Yes and Yes!!
Added a quest journal for each planet would be great.
I'd like to see what I've done on each world.

simple fact: powergamers will unlock their jedi, leaving average players no chance to become a jedi, making this game get more angered customers, because everyone pays the same amount of money for the game, but still, the devs make it so that only the power gamers are favored amongst others

Ok, i think we should have the option as to which slot is FS. At the moment, my main is the leader of an Imperial Guild. We are a roleplay guild, and basically this leader HAS to keep his gunnery skills. Does this stop me from becoming jedi? Or force me to do the quests twice, which would basically not only get rid of the 'credit' i will hopefully recieve for proff mastery and double the time it would take to become a jedi? Also, think of all those ppl that have mastered 20+ proffs with names like 'imjustgrinding forjedi'. Another point, I was really looking forward to a change in species when i became jedi. This does in some cases follow an RP viewpoint, but in other's is in total contrast. Let us roleplayers have a chance, dont make us destroy what we have built with our main to become jedi.
/crys at the thought of having to level up his second char, choose a different name (which is the name for my IMPERIAL LEADER character, not what i want for my jedi), transfer building's, change guild leadership................

Very cool. i like the idea...though will this place be instanced?
So that we may get that feeling we are the only one who is doing this quest so that the few jedi who want to actually feel like a true jedi training alone would have that star warsy feel and can enjoy the village by them self as they level up...cause having hundreds of jedi running around the place, waving their light sabers yelling look at me, watch what i can do! and BH's stalking the place.. it really wont feel very star warsy....
and the village will not be cool to try the new quest.

seriously
do u want people spamming in the hidden village about their empty vendor?
do u really want tons of lag because of people running around inthe hidden village making it worse than coronet?
i want my jedi building experience if i choose, to be by myself so that i can roleplay and believe i am the only one becoming a jedi, that i know of, even though i know their are really tons out there, but i like to role play.
i can see it now, Rohak, talking with the other guys there, discussing their new paths about becoming jedi and out of the blue, they turn around and see this wierd name guy yelling out items to buy, whos that? Rohak says, I dont rememeber him being there a few minutes ago...and why does he have 3 mysterious letters floating above his head? Rohak, gets up and trys talking to this new individual....Sir can u tell me why your yelling...??.....Sir what do the 3 letters above your head mean ???? "Sir !!!" Rohak says in anger, what does AFK mean!!!!!!!!
I would like an instanced Village please.

The biggest issue is with people being worried about spammers, I don't know how this problem would be solved unless you have a CSR watching the village 24/7. I am not worried about the professions i have masted going to waste, there are to many people that would have a massive stroke if anything happened to the time they invested.
But what I do think, is that unlike the jedi before,we should be limited tohaving one character, who can choose wether or not to be a jedi, and i have come to this conclusion fortwo reasons. 1)This will make people SERIOUSLY consider if they want to become a jedi, and they will not have some one to fall back on, they will have the same trials and hardships the jedi of the time had to face. 2) Being a jedi is not a one weekend a month, 2 weeks a year kind setup. You DO, or DO NOT. It is a COMMITMENT, to learn the ways of the force and to become attuned to its will. I have traveled with several Jedi, and seen how they work and opperate, so i am familiar with how they get around the limitations imposed upon them.
Of course you will get the occational pudwack who will buy a second account and will use this method to keep their jedi living large. But most are honorable enough not to take this path. Unlike a certain imperial guild on the corbantis server that tends to maintain several accounts and sell their force enlightenedtoons on e-Bay.

Well, it sounds like a pretty good idea. But please keep the player Jedi rare!

To keep down the huge flood of Jedi (which will happen), I say that the mysterious NPC is actually a real player. That player has been told that his final test is to find another (at this time a player name is randomly generated of one who has found their path). This would slow down the flood of Jedi, or make it something a high ranking jedi must do. Like to be considered for counsel or whatever. See how that works? The Jedi can't excel unless he finds so-and-so and so-and-so can't get to the village until a Jedi has become knight. If this is read by somebody at SOE I would like an e-mail sent for your opinion...
I like this idea in theory, except you will undoubtedly get players who become jedi and want it all to themselves, so they will actively stay away from the next person in line, and theorhetically keep them from getting force sensitivity forever. Also, it's not exactly easy to just happen across someone, on the other hand it is easy to send them a message and ask them where they are cause it's their turn to get FS, which really doesn't have the same "feel" of someone just coming up to you when you least suspect it.
If an NPC is used it should definately be one of those special NPC's that people can't kill, this probably goes without saying, but a lot of people just kill anything that is approaching them. While I think that would be funny to have someone accidentally kill the person who is trying to open their FS, I know I have accidentally double clicked on a yellow quest target when I wanted to converse and ended up killing them.

True. but if that person is doing the knight trails, he would have to find that person. and i realized the same thing about e-mail making it easier after i posted, but how many people are going through the knight trials? Not everyone is at that point. I think this would make a steady flow of Jedi, not the flood that we all don't want to see.

What I would really appreciate is access to the FS skill trees now rather than in another month or two. After all, I did put in the work in the old (and admittedly flawed) system. I did manage to finally get my "unlock" message, but I got neither my second slot nor my FS skill trees... despite the fact that it took mastering nearly every profession to get there. THAT, my good men, is just plain wrong. No matter how you look at it, it's wrong.
This new idea sounds pretty cool, sure, but it was a -large- mistake to lock the old system down before the new system was even in testing... and it has left a growing number of us in a frustrated limbo in the meantime. Something must be done.
