Thread: On Mandalorian Armor
I mastered bh recently. And i can say, it is one of the hardest, if not hardest and longest profession to master. For example, i mastered carbineer in two weeks, before carbineer fix. Then went BH. This one profession took me a full month to master. The amount of xp you need in investigation line is insane, not to mention all the money you sink into armor, ticket fairs, weapons- 3 lines of weapons, and droids. Average mission on invest 3 level takes about 30-45 minutes. Getting mission, finding which planet the mark is on, going to planet, shuttling or if on Yavin or Dath, speedering out to the supposed location. Now this is where bh's have so much grief. I would say 2 out of every 6 missions are bugged. Quite simply, the mark is no where around. Fellow bh's can back me up on this. Now I did not write this post to simply wine about BH's tough road. I chose this profession cause the internal role playing aspect is great and i felt a great accomplish when i finally mastered. I just wanted to give some insight into the profession.
Having said that, I agree that only, and I say only BH's should wear this armor. I further submit that only bh's can take the missions to complete a quest for this armor. Say, you go to some 1st NPC, he has some info on long lost armor. He has you must prove your worth as a bh. So the npc gives you a bio signature. You go to the planet where the mark is, but this mark is very hard to find. He may even switch planets on you. You pull out the droids and begin your search. And most likely, he will switch planets on you about 3-5 times. So you goto the new planet and attempt to kill the mark. Give the npc at least 50-100k ham. Huge resists to electricty so you have to use something other than your uber LLC. And you have to actually think about how you are going to kill the mark. You then bring evidence of the kill to the 1st NPC. He says "You have done well proud bounty hunter, but I dont believe you deserve the information i have yet, but I do know someone who might have more info you for you to prove your worth" So the npc gives you a bio signature for a rogue bounty hunter, who you must incap. not kill, just incap. So like before you track this bh rogue to some planet and this time the bh is super uber. Minimum 100k ham. And then just as you incap the bh rougue. He says "i yield, I will give you the information you request", He then gives you a bio signature for ajedi who you must kill. You then track this jedi, but this jedi is very hard to find once again. Chances are you wont find the jedi. And you will have to start over. But on the chance that you do find this jedi and kill him/her. Your loot is a jedi cloak with jedi mods or something. You then have to give this cloak to the bounty hunter who gave you the last mission for proof of the jedi kill. Now this is interesting in the fact, that the jedi cloak would be nice to give to some jedi or might even be worth a lot to a jedi. So you have a choice to make, sell the jedi cloak to a jedi or give the cloak to the bh for your reward. A full set of Mandalorian Amor. There is many ideas in this post. and neat roleplaying aspect in it. Just my two cents, and my tracking droids worth.

Im sorry but i have to disagree with this statement Madorlorians are not mercenaries they are a race of wariours that got almost whiped out by the Jedi Knghts 4000 odd years before Episode 1 they are only mercenaries because that was their life style after for example Boba Fett and Jango Fett where only mercenaies because they are greedy and they like wealth whilst the mandolorians where just a race of Honorable wariours with incredible power and intelligence take Canderous from KOTOR he is a proud mandalor that agrees that honors you because you defeet his race they are not typically BH's they are soldiers

First of all i am a fan of the Mandalorians and i do not want to see everyone running around in Mandalorian Combat Armor.I also dont want the mandalorian armor to turn out like the R.I.S. armor.(i hae been trying to get only the helment and i STILL have not been able to find it let alone find all the peices without spending over 200k for each peice.if you see anyone with a RIS helment please let me know).I do want people to be able to get itand not becampable.The other thing people mentioned is that only a few people can wear it.i think only people with a badge should get to wear it.To get the badge you shouldbe required to doa long quest (like the jabba quests exept longer so that not everyone can get it.it should also be fighter orianted but not too hard so only masters can get to it and not too easy so everyone gets it).After you do the quests you can get the armor made after you retreave the scamatic from somewhere(that is left up to you).with all this said i hope you will take some of the advice above andI leave it in your hands now.

I really enjoy the guys saying that it should be BH only.
- if then only master bountyhunter cert, no static lootpoints and very rare lets say 2-3 suits per server
- anti camping lootrules .. like one schem looted no more madalorian loot for 2 weeks to each groupmember involved
i simply cant wait for the mandalorian armor
boba fett ahs always been my favorite along with jango because of their armor

"make it available to BH that kill 100 jedi. simple enough" - If only I could kill one Jedi during a bounty mission, by myself. Even buffed, spiced and decent armored with krayt weapons, I cannot bring a Jedi down. Jedi wear armor/buffed/spiced, always hunt with friends and frag me before I can finish 3 shots with an inaccurate LLC (not to mention a Jedi's ability to deflect most ranged attacks). I got lucky once with a Jedi Initiate who was unarmored/unbuffed and alone in a city. I have never killed a true Jedi yet as a MBH - but I continue to die trying.
"I would really like to see unique armors have lightsaber resistance, and get rid of the armors so easy to make 90% resistant to lightsabers too. This would instill the 'fear' that Jedi should have at a Mandolorian equipped BH coming after them." - Who makes this 90% armor on Ahazi? and doesn't charge exhorbitant prices? I made a couple mil in my career but spent it on the 1st batch of decent advanced/welded composite. Whenever new armor hits the market, it's priced out of most people's leagues. How do some make so much money in a combat profession? Endless hours on Dantooine? "FEAR" is what a Jedi should do at a MBH's approach - I usually get a laugh or an epithet before they whack me dead and the "mission Incomplete" waves over our heads.

MBH is a lonely life - I've never teamed up to kill Jedi, we should not have to. We should be feared by Jedi - perhaps make this Mandalorian armor just Elite Profession Specific and perk the MBH abilities to effect Jedi targets only, not general PvE or random PvP.
I apologize for going off-post on this. Forgive a tired old MBH and his due.
First off, i was a BH, and they deserve some armor, but NOT mandalorian armor. This armor, should go to anyone who has gotten a title, or mastered any profession thats combat and after the novice. This would still show a lot of people running around in it, but the dancers wouldnt/couldnt wear it.
The bhs should get some other snazy armor, every BH had a diffrent type of armor, not all composisot.
What is RIS!!?? i have been playin since half a montha after release, and NEVER have seen this armor LOL
Also, no one, and i repeat, NO ONE, should be abvle to craft this item.
This is just my 2 cents, also, Devs, please get a new standard of credit in the game, and get rid of this horribal inflation....
