Well mabey do let crafters play a role in this. The repair theory is a very good one. Upon reading about it I found thatI liked the idea.It should be beat up and such. Good work to those who made that idea.

Good Evening,

Just a few points I want to bring up...

A) Fett did not kill 100 Jedi and that being a requirement for Mandalorian armor is laughable at best. Killing 10 Jedi let alone 100 could involve many weeks or months or playing. As a consumer I am in this game to enjoy a fantasy character in a preset alternate universe, not come home from my job and begin another one on a consistant basis.

B) I agree having it restricted to Master Bounty Hunter is a good idea but not Master Bounty Hunter / Commando. There simply aren't enough points left for all that kind of stuff at the end of the day IN ADDITION to the Investigation skill being one of the most time consuming to train from I to IV. Being a Master Bounty Hunter is nothing to scoff at, nerf or not.

C) Having the dungeon instanced is a good idea. It allows individual groups of players to gang together and immerse themselves in the story with a potentially large payoff. It also prevents the Griefing/Camping which would surely follow with an item this unique and sought after.

That pretty much sums up what I've read so far of the thread, I'll continue reading and see what else there is out there.

Regards,

TV

If you want it rare make it as hard as the RIS quest. I have seen one or two full sets so far and i've been playing since October. But thats not enjoyable to all.

If this quest is a loot only or drop item (difficulty level being Geonosian cave) and the Mandalorian armor is better than composite armor well I don't think it would hurt the Armorsmith business as long as it is a one time per person thing. Look at how many ackly enhanced stuff is floating around.

I wouldn't make this craftable look at the Imperial PSG's floating around (lots..)

I think that Mandalorian armor should be like RIS armor, good but not betterresists thancomposite when it comes to PvP. I think that mandalorian armor should have decent resists60%-65% no vulns some resistance to Force powers and low encumb so even a fish can wear it. It should be certified at Master Bounty Hunter AND... it should have skill mods for BH capabilities. i.e. +25 to droid speed, +50 BHcarbine accuracy, +something to burst run efficiency etc.... This is enough to make a MBH scary but killable. I hope that is what you do, decent resists but add skill modifiers.

When u use examine on Bobba Fetts Character u can see armor rating: MEDIUM.Is Mandalorian armor the first medium armor in game??

It have to bewithout schematic (or with schematic but only for one set and u'll get resources for crafting). The armor is not possible to sell or buy and only the BH or Commando who willreceive the schema/armor can wear that .. noone else! Something likeTusken boots etc (can wear only mans) and there willbe:"can wear onlyxxx" (playername). The theme park/quests must finish BH or Commando SOLO and without help!!!

For example for me are BH's lone wolfs. They are working alone and for money.

There's rumors that where the dungeon will be is more likely on Lok. From what I've heard, it's some empty small dungeon, and there's actually an Imperial city that's planted right on top of it.. I'm hoping the city ban don't come in for a long time or some form of resitrction (IE if any city ends up Overlapping a POI, then say about 200m or so would be a non-pvp area or that city warning will be nulled when they are there.

first of all let me say I haven't read the 20 pages or so that has preceeded this post so I dunno if this has been covered.. , but I wanted to let you all know, that I think ifANYONE (but onlymaster bounty hunters mightmake sense too),wears this armor, Boba Fett should come and try to kill you, and he should be VERY tough to kill. Give him the resists you see on him in the Throne Room, but with like 400k ham, so no one can possibly beat him alone and this attack should come when you least expect it.

That's the price of using his trademark armor! It's in the books. He hunts and KILLS anyone who DARES wear his armor. I think everytime you equip a piece you work off a "visability" system like Jedi get. You equip it too much, wear it in front of too many non-grouped folks, and you are busted. This is the best Bounty-Hunter in the galaxy we are talking about, it shouldn't be hard for him to find you.

So, just think about that. It would get this famous character into the game more than just being your trophy reward forgetting into the throne room, everyone has the screenieof them emoting away to Boba, so.. I would LOVE to see Boba finallykick some A$$ .. like I would LOVE to see him fly outta nowhere to cap some cocky mandalore wearing braggart in the middle of Theed, and then calmly fly off, maybe with a harmless whistle emote, or something else non-chalant.

You guys all forget about Jodo Kast...even though he's not a Mandalorian, he still wore the armor and was a BH. Anyway, is the armor going to be like Jango's/Boba's rag-tag armor or is it going to be like old-school Mandalorian armor? Mandalorians were just warriors, so pretty much any combat type should be able to wear it. Making it only BH would be fine though. Making a lot of new armors that anybody could wear would be REALLY nice. Let's see some individuality here! I saw one guy who had mixed some armors and looked really cool, but his resists weren'tvery great of course. I'm tired of looking like everybody...bleh.

Well, i know my response will be swamped in the masses. But here it is. First off, i must stick up for the entire armorsmith bashing that takes place in this forum, Armorsmiths are rich, because we need to be to be able to afford the materials needed for your sacred "80% / 80% base composite." Ever wonder how we can afford to pay 15k / kryat hide when JUST a chestplate takes 4 of them?

Secondly, I agree that mandalorian armor, must not be craftable by armorsmiths, this is for pure continuity reasons, and not that i'm selling out fellow armorsmiths. This type of armor is a rare armor, that is no longer in exhistance. Think of it like finding Inca armor, or Aztec clothing. To find it is a treature, but you can't make it due to how old and anchient it is. This is how the mandalorians are. Furthermore, it shoul NOT be quested, as this would create even more of them. There should be but a few sets on each server, maybe 3 sets / server to preserve continuity.

Third, the issue about it only being equipable by Master Bounty hunters. Thisis just... well ... laughable. Because it was worn in the movies by The 'fette family hardly means that the only profession qualified to wear it must be in the same line (bounty hunter). Thats to say that only Smugglers would be able to use the DL44 Pistol, because thats what Han-Solo used. Try not to think of the "i want i want" and more of the "what makes sense."

Please people, use your heads. And for the love of god, SoE, dont break continuity just to make the Swg movie kiddies happy. Think about the community of people who are the ones who are the heart and blood of this RPG

Yeh...Mandalorian armor should definitely be added...BUT...I think only a certain number of suits be added to the game. Like say 100 on each server. And no one can make them. You each one from this dungeon/quest thing and after the first 100 are found that's it. But to keep them around I say that the armor should have no condition and cannot be destroyed. That should be what makes Mandalorian Armor special. It doesn't decay. That way if someone else wants the armor they'll be willing to pay someone that has it an arm and a leg. And if someone who does have it deletes their character or something like that, the armor is automatically replaced within the game so someone else can do the quest and find it. Sound good?

I would like only master BH and Master Commandos to be able to wear this armor. They are the ones with the most points to there profession. And there was info on commandos of some sort wearing this armor as well.
