The new system is mediocre because the grind to Jedi Initiate is too long. Everything should be reversed so that the grind from Initiate to Knight is longer, but the grind from FS to Initiate is shorter. What is fun about doing the same ole fencing/CH over and over for FS experience? Especially when you are making me wait 3 weeks to do the next quest. The time gate on quests is silly as well. This game has turned into a lot of repetition and waiting. I hope it can hold my interest since the JTL beta has not =I....

Well the push swg content and turn the other cheek to what really needs fixed in the game, has made my choice easy... i cancelled all four of my accts ToDaY , the jedi system is a joke.. its a cover for a new grind system.. and it bugged as with anything else they have put out on live. Combat revamp was far greater a major concern, compared to the old holo grind system, and professon fixes should have been on the top of list of things to do... Thank you DEVS in making my choice to spend my $15 bucks elsewhere easy... To the ones that chose to stay /salute. Your tolerance for pain must be greater then mine.

Here is my feedback as per your request:


Pub 10 so far is a great publish, this is the way obtaining Jedo should have been from the begining, but at least its now correct. My only dissapointment is in regards to the FS XP Conversion process. Its a bit unbalanced and in my opionion a rip-off. With 30-1 (300,000 Weapon XP = 10,000 FS XP) conversion of weapon xp the player feels jipped and at a loss. Now yes, Combat xp is a 3-1 ration, but you gain that xp 30x slower than weapon xp, so it evens out. Still a bit of a ripoff, now Im not asking for 1-1 ration, but a little increase would be nice. If you do increase the ration, I hope you take into account all the xp ive lost... I mean converted to fs xp so I can get reimbursed.

how about giving us the ability to transfer one kind of fs experience to another at a 1 to 1 rate? that would help with inadvertent and very costly mistakes

How about dropping this (Grind is good enough for them attitude)? Spend a few mins talking to an old school gamemaster or dungeon master. Find out how to construct a quest. It has little if anything to do with numbers. Drop the Probability and Statistics text and the Calculus text from your programming undergrad days and actually think, "What would fun for the player to do?"

I've played SWG since the first week of release. I did holos and professions, but didn't unlock my Jedi. Under the new system, I qualified for Force Sensitivity the first day of Publish 10, but I received no free unlocked branches. Ok, I did a quest and unlocked one branch. I'll do the xp grind, because I have something tangible to work towards. However... it is going to take me four more months at least under the 3-week Village phase scenario to unlock the 6 branches I need even to hit Jedi Initiate. Why do this to us? Why not let players unlock more branches at their own pace? We still have to get all the insane amounts of FS xp to fill those branches. Some of us will be faster, some slower. We won't all be Jedis at once. But becoming Jedi is one of those "carrots" the game offered us when we first bought it. Then the Devs secretly changed the 5 unlocking professions to 8, forcing many, many people to grind every single profession in order to unlock. Now you offer a new system and hold the carrot in front of us again, only to keep us dangling in the Village phase system. The Devs are holding the prize further away yet again. I can't even grind professions now to speed things up. There is nothing I can do at all now except wait and stock up on some xp. I've already lost many friends in the game who tried and tried and didn't unlock pre-Publish 10, and now they're just tired and demoralized, so they've quit and will go to EQ2 or something else. Looking at months more of waiting is nothing short of depressing. What does it matter if there are loads of Jedi on the server? It will make the Jedi Knight pvp ranking system richer, and you'll have happier players who won't feel left out or cheated by the game, who will want to stay and play their interesting new character. I left another MMORPG because the devs kept making things more and more difficult for the players. I love SWG, but don't annoy me and hurt me. I've been literally paying my dues since June 2003. I don't want to play a waiting game now.

i have posted this before but it got erased or somthing so i will just post it again


TH Hello I have a problem with the new Jedi system like Meany others but I have a couple of ideas I think u should check out (Well I hope u do anyway). This is NOT about lowering or RAISING the xp conversion rate


1. Raise the xp cap on all professions

2. Make a command line for us to be able to convert regular xp for FS xp when we want to. or at least put another npc that can do soon each other planet.


This will lower the flames and will make the grind more berable

u know its realy small fixes to do.

I have a problem with free box.


I have grind 18 prof (4 holo and search one silent).


I see the old man.

Kill the sith and the camp.


Go to the village.


When I talked to Paemos, he says me that I don't have free skill .


Is it a bug or what ?????????


18 prof before patch 10 and 0 free skill


Are U going to repair that ??

This happened to me on my 7 / 10 patrol. I tried 4 or 5 more times to complete, but it kept failing me even though I was following the instructions and killing only groups of 3 or less. A friend joined me (grouped) on the 4th patrol or so, and left me (ungrouped) on the start of the 7th. After that point, I kept failing all my patrols. Could it be related to grouping? In any case, I logged off extremely frustrated and annoyed by the whole experience. If you are gonna make us grind to death, at least make sure it works right. I'm hoping that the problem will go away after logging back in after a server restart... (fingers crossed.)

Actually, I can't find a really good place to put this, so I'm raising the issue here:


When checking the official website I find it extremely annoying to read the following entries:


"Dev Cycle - In Testing" : Publish 9.2 is currently scheduled to go live on july 27th.

"Dev Cycle - In Development" : Jedi Revamp - Part 2 - The Jedi Trials

"Dev Cycle - In Concept" : Galactic Civil War - Publish 11 along witha remark concerning the smuggler revamp...


When the community criticizes overall lack of communication, I do not consider this website update frequency a wise move. This "content" should at least be taken offline and the pages to be set "under construction". Else the credibility gap will only grow in size.
