Thread: Jedi Revamp Phase I
Not unlocking second slot until Jedi Knight = final deathblow to GCW.
Noone will want to die. People will either resign from their faction or simple avoid all pvp. If you can't see this you're either a complete idiot or totally blind.

This isn't turning out to be the "post full of positive feedback" that I figure the devs were half-way expecting.
Why?
Because it's not a good idea.
Fix Jedi problems, not how you get Jedi.
If someone wants to grind 24/7 and master 30 skills to become a Jedi, let them.
I agree. After today I will have mastered 14 professions. I think I have come this far and should have the option to finish it. I am not the one that put in the old system, and when I started the holo grind the new Jedi system wasn't even talked about. I think those that have put in many hours of grinding and mastering professions that they didn't really want to, should at least have the option of finishing what they started.
Last night I contemplated stopping the hologrinding, but decided that it would feel to much like quiting, and throwing in the towel. I am not a quiter, and I don't give up on things. I know we hologrinders had a choice on this, but we didn't have a choice on how to unlock your jedi slot. We played by their rules, now they are betraying us.
I propose keeping the current system for unlocking your slot, as well as the new system, running parrallel with each other. You can master professions and get your second slot right away, or you can do it the new way and wait until you get to Jedi Knight to get your second slot.
And on another side note, I have been trying to find my silent profession for a while now, please don't make me never find out what it is. I really feel that the devs owe us the option to finish what we started, with the same rewards that were promised when we started, anything short of this would be unfair.
a new thought ![]()
So this post is becoming more and more childish the more i read..hehe..sorry no offence to anyone
But the release notes on publish 9 are just a little...a tiny part off what is to come. The devs arent finnished whit it yett so please be paticent and wait for more info. And the conspiracy continues hehe
And if you guys think that its gona make it easier to gett a jedi..well i dont think it will.
I personaly think the DEV's are gona make a lot harder now as there is alot of jedis already and they prob want to keep the population low.
and remember that there were lots of force sensitive and and few jedi's in this time line.
ooh well im prob getting flamed for this hehe....knock your selvs out.but flaming or personal attacks dont have anything in this post to do.
Give positive and negative feedback and mybe the devs will bother to watch the post. But keep it at an profesional level. Ahhh but what do i know im just a noob.
8 monthshave i been playing the game, but im still a noob...
And i have been so harsh on the CSR's at times..wow i can be an **edit**hole sometimes..hahahahaha
ok so im in a wierd mood right now.lo
sorry about my bad writing,And if you dont like my spelling dont read it.But keep shutt and dont ruin the good time for others by flaming and starting whit personal attacks hirr hirr
The point to the current jedi system is to maintain continuity with the rest of the SW universe (books, movies, SWRPG). The simple fact of the matter is, in the era in which this game takes place, those who were force sensative didn't have any idea they were unless by some outlying chance they met someone who was knowledgable in the Jedi ways (i.e. Luke Skywalker). It wasn't until this happened that thye found out they were FS. Now granted with the system the way it is now you can Holo grind through 30+ professions with the intention of opening up your FS slot., however the main point to the current system is you don't really know how or when the slot will open. I think that is much more in keeping with the rest of the SW universe than if everyone has thier FS slot at the very beggining and has the knowledge from the start that they can pursue the Jedi ranks. The main reason now that there aren't 100's of Jedi running around in every city is that they don't feel like spending all this time Holo grinding through 30+ professions. As a matter of fact, according to what they state about the current Jedi system, some people may not have to go through that extent, the point is that no one knows when and where it will happen. I say leave that part of the Jedi system as is , and revamp from the point when someone does happen to open their FS slot. In the whole Imp-v-Reb situation during this era, the regular everydaypeople did the fighting and making the changes in the universe, not the Jedi.

just a little thought.Im so confused
Everyone gets a FS slot. But that dont make you a jedi.
You can work on that FS slotas you wish, either make it like an normal char, and get no extra force powers.
Or you can start going on the path to become an padawan, but you arent a jedi yett ?
when you have come this far as to obtaine an padawan rank,u still have to prove your self worthy of a jedi Knight rank through PvE ?
When you finaly have the Jedi Knight rank you can then move on to become an master off force abillities through out the PvP system ? this will give you the Master Jedi titel ??
if im correct this sound like an awsome ide,as only the best PvP/tactical players will be masters and maybe get a seat at the Underground Councill.
It will also keep the population of master jedi's low,but even a normal player will have a chance at trying a force sensitive char..
(sorry about bad spelling),and i might have mixed something up.But you gett my point hehe )
I like how the system is changing, and I think Its should be quest oriented as I said before. Though the only reason ive stoped holo grinding is because of this jedi revamp and I garantee others felt the same way too. remember about the space expansion. When that comes out being a jedi wont really help. People will want to persue the new proffesions and maybe create a new character. I think that a group of people who have been playing swg should get together with some devs and just talk about this subject.
Yohmama -wanting to be a jedi since 6-25-03

Diomedes, they might change the Jedi death system, too. Probably will.
If your main character is your Jedi Initiate, I bet there will be no Jedi death penalties. I bet death penalties are gonna start only when your 2nd slot opens.
