Thread: IT 6-6: Imperial Crackdown: Some changes made based on In-Test Feedback

One of my characters is neutral right now, and if my guild decides to attack a bunch of Rebel NPCs I can't join in on the fight.
I don't know where you're getting your info, but that's wrong.
I was jumpped as a neutral zoning into Theed many MANY months ago (like... July). The ONLY explination I could fathom was that my group had attacked some Imperials before I disbanded. I guess it was a bug.
Put the whole thing in context. Don't want to PvP, simple choice. RESIGN

I guarentee (sp?) that if an Officer in the US Military is found with a vial of crack in his pocket, he rots in the same jail as everybody else (I know this because I've put some there.. a Colonel and two Majors to be exact)."Very true... but the Empire isn't the U.S. Military. Since when was the Empire on the up-and-up with anything? We are the bad guys (and girls) in this story. We're dirty! We lie, we cheat, we spread totally bogus propaganda. Lord Vader was a civilian who openly murdered Imperial officers cause he was in a bad mood!!!We should be getting away with anything we like....
Actually, the Empire is the legal governing body of the universe. Obtained and administered through the use of force, it is still a governing body. They are not "bad" per-se, just perceived as bad through the eyes of those who belive opressive military rule is not the proper way to govern. All governments lie, cheat, and spread propaganda. This does not mean they do not enforce any sort of laws on themselves.
And Vader was the Emperor's enforcer, one of the most powerful persons in the entire galaxy, and a total bad-ass. He was so well beyond a normal "civilian" that there isn't a term to describe his stature.

Yeah and I watched 95% of the officers in the Navy and Air Force I saw get busted get to reitre (oh my!) and keep that fat pension. Wanna compare numbers?
Exactly why did the Bahamas base finally get closed? Yeah, we know why.

TH this proposed plan is terrible beyond belief. The constant catering to the Imperial faction by the devs is enough. Not to mention that this hurts a profession that was illdeveloped from the start and then nerfed afterwards.
I can tell you for certain that the whole Smuggling community is not behind this. We wantd our chance to smuggle and now we're just smuggling covert rebels. Once we start charging a fee imagine what will happen to said covert rebels. I guess that's why the smuggling revamp was put up so late. Could it be that we weren't getting anything at all?
I tell you these changes reek and I only wish I could really tell you how bad this is.
Constant catering? Um, where?
Nerfed AT-ST's. Nerfed faction pets. Rebel group TEFs. Yeah sounds like catering to those **edit** imps to me! NOT

I fear this is the very reason why the DEVs came up with this solution. A simple way to lower the Rebel population: Force those who grab a faction to get access to content to resign because they do not want to be forced into PvP.
Aside from that, it is the principle of the matter at hand. Such a major change to one of the guiding philosophies this game was built on could only mean disaster when they feel the need to change another one. This game was built on the grounds that it WOULDN'T be "EQ in Space", but at each turn.. it grows more and more as such. The potential this game has to sweep all other MMORPGs out of existance is boundless, yet the majority of those who speak the loudest only serve to push this game further into failure.

Since there's no edit button, I wanted to amplify:
NERFED AT-ST's FOUR TIMES

So Imperials will be the Smugglers now. Tell us again why we spent skillpoint on this...
After all, Imperials have a 100% chance to avoid a scan, better than a Master Smuggler. So who's going to need a Master Smuggler to help move anyone's contraband?
This does not bode well for the future of Smugglers, and I am more disappointed today than I have ever been with SWG.
Hey, Imps run the Galaxy. They are the GOVERNMENT! I am a Reb, but Rebels are outllaws. It is quite obvious that if you are a high ranking imperial, some private would not search you and such. Also Im sure the Emperor would want all Imps to have the best weaps and equipment available. A master smuggles has a 95% success rate. Good enough for me.
You obviously did not think this thur b4 posting.
