Woot Twenty....

Hit the nail on the head bro

RIP > SOE's Corvette.

Onlytwoproblems....

First... 4 out of the 10 members, finished ALONG side the other 6 and didn't get badges? why not?

Second... as a prize, the 6 of us that got badges, also got the schematic for the new speeder (w00t!), but it requires a component that only *ONE* of is spawned on the 'vette? **edit**?

So, basically, now we go back, complete it 9 more times, get the component 9 more times, to create 9 more speeders... yet, then we'll each have 9 more schematics... um.... wash, rinse, repeat?

Guys there is a very important thing that everyone is still missing. THIS WAS IN THE TEST CENTER!!!!! Why, was it not fixed there? Ok they force people to play as a group to do this, but you can only have 10 ppl in your group. Um, Jedis are supposed to be in hiding right? So, if they want to do the mission they are forced to group, and you have to have a jedi or two to finish the quest. Now everyone in the group knows that they are a jedi, oh, wait you can read that in thier bio. Forgot about that oversight sorry. Anyways, if your profession has ken. based damage, ie. CH, TKM, and depending on the weapon, most melee profs. dont go. You cant do anything but die. Good job, devs!

"Now let me shoot that guy while the rest of my group hangs back," "oh SH**," the whole ship just agroed on my group becauseI shoot him. Man... they are even shoot through the walls. "After I wasted all this time to get here, and John and Biff took the escape pod back, (by mistake of course), they are told they can't get back... great. Now we are down to 8 because we had to leave the rest of the guild on the planet becasue we can only take 10 with us, oh man. Now the whole ship is agroed and just killed every and the stormtroopers are camping in the clone room killing use as we respawn, my armor is chewed to hell now, can't rebuff in any cave in the game, great, no reason to go on now. 5 hours wasted for what? Nothing.

WHY DID THIS THING LEAVE THE TEST CENTER LIKE THIS?

Oh, it is put out on live to help the dev iron out the bugs, "at your expence of course."

There are a lot of post saying that they had a great time and to stop complaining that it too hard. THIS IS NOT THE POINT. Guys the devs have been working on this game for years now. You are paying them money to provide you more content. THEY ARE NOT DOING YOU A FAVOR. YOU ARE PAYING THEM. They should have a little higher standards then this. When they read that you guys like the CRAP that they put out then the impression is that they did a good job on this, give it a hot fix or two and move on to the next thing.

When in reallity very few if any people have even completed it. This thing should have been FIXED way before it was put on live. It was pushed to live to shut us up. We thought it would be great, and many thing in the IDEA are great. But, look at the game as a whole, there are so many bugs, the devs. can't even keep up. Instead of fixing the bugs at hand they push out something new for us to chew up and get buggy again, and it goes on and on. THIS NEEDS TO BE A WAKE UP CALL. FIX THE BUGS NOW. PEOPLE, "YOUR OVER ALL BOSSES," ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS QUEST AND THE GAME AS A WHOLE. STOP TRYING TO SHUT US UP AND FIX THE GAME,"THE WHOLE GAME," AND STOP TELLING US HOW HARD IT IS TO FIX THE CODE THAT IS BUGGED. YOU WROTE IT, FIX IT. GOOD GOD ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY.

All the comments on this thread have made me realise something:

IF YOU DIE YOU HAVE FAILED

In other words, you can't "brute force" the dungeon by cloning, buffing, running immediately back into battle.. get some tactics, get a balanced group of people, get a couple of Jedi (lol) and then, just then, you may beat it. Until then, stop whinging because (insert certain elite profession here) get owned on it. I'm a commando and I don't whinge about flame not working on enraged rancors..

Now i been there twice and eh i think it may be a bit hard. I like the difficulty setting the one person had with the 3 different missions ones easy/medium, one is hard, and the last one is like it is now. My second time up we did halfway decent til the black hole troopers lit us up. My major complaint not just about this is also about places like the warren is the overhead map. I dont know about you guys but man thats a major pain in the butt to figure out. I wish it just showed the map of the floor your on. Then when you go down a flor by elavator or ramp it changes to that floors map. Thats what got us more than anyhting. I believe that would be a very simple thing to fix.

Seems very high level and difficult. I won't say to difficult at this point. I went in with a pick up group of about 10 total. We were all buffed and armored, but not all masters of their professions, and no docs or CM at all. That was one big downside.

We did OK on the first hall, but at the bottom of the elevator we got pinned down and pwned. It seemsa place you want a well picked group for the professions. For sure at least one master doc and or master CM. I would say at least one MBH if not more, with LLC to use on the droids. Their lowest resist was electricity. Keep in mind the ST seemed to have low resist to acid. So keep that in mind with your group.

You need good melee tanks to take the first hits, and get them to take the agro. Then you want to be sure everyone has their own roll and does it. So I think if a well planned group goes in with at minimum of 10 would have a chance of it.

I didn't do the quests at all so I have no comments there.

I like how you cloned back inside the place, but the wounds sucked. Without a doc to heal, I don't know this. My suggestion is this.

1. Either make sure docs can heal wounds inside, and or be able to buff.

2. If not number 1, then how about the ability to clone at the launch site so that when you die inside, you take no wounds. Even with no wounds, with no buffs, we are still at a great disadvantage in there. So please don't think it's making it to easy. And for many of us, without buffs, we can't wear our armor at all.

great job devs. we been there twice, havent finished but got close. yes it's hard and not for novices.but it does force u to think and work together as a team which can help to bond your guild or friends relationships even stronger. everyone runs around with helper tags on, on the corvette , you really have to know how and when to help someone out and expect it in return. team based combat, what a concept

Basically what you've got here is the Temple of Veeshan, The Vex Thal....of SWG.

Tanks and Healers and damage dealers. Against ridiculously overpowered mobs. Folks say you need strategy, I can't see the strategy in any of this. Besides either going past a mob, or finding some super , hard to find combination of profs to deal with them. Problem is, while that may increase folks trying to find other players to go up with them, it increases the time of this whole thing. Again, it's just like EQ. Waiting around for particular classes to show up before you can do anything.

I'm a TKM btw. Didn't choose tkm because it was very popular. I actually liked rifleman more. But I needed a way to heal all the wounds I was getting. Since I'm also oan Weaponsmith, and my first go at Rifleman (when the game went live) was nothing but an adventure of mobs warping on me, armor piercing not working right, folks running my mobs out of range or too close, or hams so high I had to stop wearing armor, and got killed in a few hits (this was before buffs). Regardless, that's why I chose TKM. Figured it could do dmg, tank, and could especially heal my wounds. Then, lo' and behold, mobs on corvette with insane Kinetic resistance heh. Not going to even bother trying it again, would just be riding the coattails of the others in the group.

Just one feedback for me.

Have various types of resistances on the mobs so that no one profession is just doing all the damage.

The Corvette is in no way too mard, people moaned about the geonosian cave being too hard,..respawn times got nerfed, now its 'a breeze' its jsut any excuse for a moan.

I went up there, got halfway through first time, couple of TKMs, etc,..the usual group.

Its a refreshing change to see Fencers and TKM not going 'hahah, this is easy, ill solo these'

Its in no way impossible, andalot of people have completed it ALREADY, telling me if anything, its slightly easy, if i got through halfway through all of it with little hassle and not even knowing where to go, i sure as hell wont have trouble finishing it in future now i know what to do.

Kids these days want things given to them on a plate, and lets face it, this is a game and is populated by kids for the vast majority, giving them too much freedom to affect the outcome of the game will always end in tears.

Good job devs, keep it up, top notch dungeon

.., send the complaining kids a mickey mouse T-shirt and crayon set, and they will be happy again...

It's too hard.

And I'll /sign on the overhead map idea.
Change it so you only see the floor your on
not all of them superimposed on each other.

Still no DEV response.

Hopefully something productive comes from all the feedback we provided. I dont want the MOBS made easier, but I do want to be able to rebuff and heal wounds or better yet no decay or loss of buffs when cloning on the corvette only. Also need to fix the shooting through walls and floors and camping the clone site. This quest should be impossible to solo, extremely difficult for 4 or 5, and difficult for a group of 10 mixed professions at various levels of proficiency. It would be awesome to scale difficulty. Seems to easy for the Dark Jedi, but too hard for therest (except rifleman).

I think what the corvette shows is that the COMBAT BALANCE isdesparately needed more than ever. Every profession shouldbe able to contribute to the quest in some way. I am a master carbineer and master swordsman. My blasters are ineffectice and the only weapon i can usethat helps inthe corvette ismy power hammer. If they made the elite carbine a master level weapon with blast damage and AP heavy we would be good.

Another thing this shows and many of the other things that come out of test center "tested" is that they need to implement direct character copy to TC. Playing my NOOB toons over on TC is an ordeal. I would test stuff if I could transfer my template to TC. I have had enough grinding. i just want to have fun. Isnt that the intention of a game?

Good points, i agree, especially with the TC thing, i was shocked when i frsit went on it, and had to remake my character, i met another guy there and said:

'How do u get ur char better? '

response: 'U gotta grind all again..'

'So how are u supposed to test stuff, especially Jedi stuff?!!'

Firstly u gotta grind the professions again, secondly theres hardly anyone there from what i can see,.. a very weird test centre..
