(grrr. damn double post before I was done)

Anyway, let me contiune...

Sacrafice. At certain points in the corvette, one person in your group will have to draw the aggros (ie. super battle droids) away from the group so that the group can accomplish the current objective that is required before completing the mission.

Map. Map the corevette out, so that you don't get lost on future attempts.

In the end, it's nice that SOE puts out some sort of content once in awhile and I am glad that for once it is hard to do. And that flavor of the month professions will do poorly in the corvette. Meaning Master Combat Medic/Rifleman/Teras Kasai will not fare well in the corvette due to their attacks casuing little to no damage agganist the mobs in the corvette. So profession wise, make sure your group haslots of Bounty Hunters, Commandos, and Doctors.

Ran this last night with my PA. Straight off it's great to have dungeons which require a bit of thought, requiring lots of different profs all doing what they do best. DO NOT NERF THIS! It's not about killing everthing on board straightaway; if you do you will be owned before 15 minutes are up!

The leadup missions could be explained better; we went chasing around the warren (on the Rebel rescue mission) for ages only to discover 2 hrs later we had collected the wrong disk (it was part of the Warren POI stuff I think). Also it could have got very boring travelling to Yavin, Dathomir, Dantooine in one night to search for these things..

We got down to the middle floor but it wasn't long before 8 dark troopers with '00000s of HAM rushed us and incapped most of us. I'm not sure why they all rushed us (nobody used area attack) might just have been the wrong place, wrong time.

Some had to clone so they lost their buffs. Even with melee players tanking we weren't doing damage quick enough to the high level mobs so next time we will need more than one commando (myself), some BH with LLC etc. And definitely take a couple of docs/CMs, one will get killed at some point!

When we all died and were in varying states of disarray I decided to have a wander around to know the map better for next time. It's very difficult to guess where to go from the map (a bit like in the warren) so can we have some pictures posted up on the web of each floor?

Highlights:

-spamming "don't touch it!"as we ran down a corridoor to find an Escape Pod Control

- walking past a super battle droid and him not noticing me

- great visuals inside; very atmospheric; reminded me of playing Doom

I would make three changes;

- improve the leadup missions, I don't want to be travelling all over the place

- allow docs to buff/heal wounds in the "medical centre/cloning facility" of the ship

- improve the map; or at the very least provide floorplans on the web of each floor so we can plan our routes better when we're in there, given the limited time available

Went back there yesterday for a second time, now we planned to get our second imperial corvette-badge, now for the rescue mission.

Team was:

Squad Leader/Swordsman
Commando/Pistoleer
Combat Medic/Doc (I personally wouldn't want to go there without one)
Swordsman (weaponsmith)
Rifleman/(hunt master, me again )
Carbineer/Bounty Hunter
Bounty Hunter
"Trainee" (as in non-master) Commando/Pistoleer
"Trainee" Rifleman (bio engineer)

And say what? We did it, one person died (a trando swordsman, those without full armor are a bit at risk on the corvette). Again very close (timelimit) but still I see this as doable if you do not run in there 'headless' even without the often named '10 double elite combatprofessions' or 'groups of jedi'.

We noticed one really odd bug (didn't happen the first time): Our stomaches did not empty at all during the full hour on the corvette, caused us quite some problems as we had to switch to spices :/. After we were back on the surface it was all 'as usual' and the stomaches emptied as usual with given time.

My group of 5 had minimal trouble in the first few hallways. Our TKM was tanking, we did ok once we went up a level, then we just got about 8 on us and it was over from there. My feedback, very nicely done, and very challenging. It's not "hard" it can be done, but it will take strategy.

Be able to re-buff on the ship? I am mixed about this, should be able to get out your droid and buff, but wouldnt they have enemy droid scanners or some kind of anti-droid measures in case of a breach in the ship?

The finding the ticket thing was easy enough, it challeneged me but was fun.

Oh and people, no need to take 10 TKM with you thats just ridiculous, even out the groups and you will do 100% better

Well I managed to make it through on both of my runs...

Here is the funny part though..

First group

2 4444 Dark Jedi Guardians

1 Master rifle

1 Master rifle/Master Doc

1 Master Doc

1 Master Doc/Master CM

We made it through, but only with tactics... we left 85% of the mobs standing when we finished the mission and hit the escape pods... non of us died.

Second group

2 4444 Dark Jedi Guardians

1 Master rifle/master doc

1 master doc

1 master doc/master cm

1 commando

1 BH

This run was pretty much the same exact thing as the first, allthough I did notice the npc's going down alot quicker. Still couldn't even attempt to mess with the droids though.

I think it might be a bit too hard.. especially since ranged can't use area attacks, and alot of professions are left unable to do anything but tank because of damage types. Also not every group had 2 dark jedi masters (in theory) to go with them..lol

I don't care how many times this has been said it needs to keep being said till those over-paid developers get a clue.

I'm paying very good money for this "game" every month. I choose a profession that is suppose to be Elite(TKM)

Now these wonderful boys and girls who call themselves "content developers" decide to put this area in the game where I"m useless. To further add insult to injury no one wants a TKM in a Corvette group.

How bad is that planning? Terrible, terrible, terrible content control testing.

SOE spout off all the time how well SWG is doing in terms of numbers. So take you big bucks and hire a team that can buy a clue!!!!

You guys are the worst content producers of a on-line game I've ever, ever heard of.

You just can't get it right, can you?

WAKE UP!!!!

There were 9 of us in the neutral corvette: Master BH/Commando, Novice BH/Ranger, Master CM/Doc, Master Smuggler/Pistoleer, Master Doc/Fencer, Master Swordsman, TKM/Commando, TKM/Smuggler/Rifleman and one more near master BH. The first two times, we ran out of time, but by the time we hit the third one and revised out gameplan, we beat it with 6 mins to spare. None of us died, and we had no more than 4 incaps. Personally, I thought the place was a blast, even when we had failed. It looks great, its challenging, the loot is pretty cool (that car looks awesome); And well, as a smuggler, I like the badge.

I don't think I would change any of it either. I mean, the fact that we can't buff and we are on a timer, means we need to use strategy... Then again, this is coming from an ex-everquester, so maybe I am a part of the minority here.

Yes. I think the whole team at SOE needs fired and a new capable team brought in. I'm sure your post and mine will de deleted or edited away. Hopefully someone in authority will see it before it is removed.

Why do this mission? Why waste my 600k comp for a schematic? A badge? It is crazy make it worthwhile to finish it, as I've said before a new type of house as a reward would be nice not a house schematic but a house deed.

All I have to say to you is 250 skill points.

TKM do very well in other parts of the game. You want to be efficient in your group pick up Doctor or CM.

Well I finally completed the destroy mission after 3 tries. The first time or two was basically a recon trip just getting the layout of the ship and what we have to do. You could say we got our tails kicked pretty quickly. Well the 3rd time we did it, we brought along a very high level dark jedi, I believe hes just below master, and we tried it again. Well this time we had huge success, only because the jedi basically soloed the whole thing and kept us all healed. He was deflecting every laser blast being fired at him.

So if it wasnt for the jedi friend we took, we wouldnt have beat it. I like the toughness of it, but the one-shot kills the npcs do and the fact you cant rebuff and insure is too much.

And for anyone having trouble with many mobs attacking at once, I noticed if you do any area attacks, then multiple mobs will warp thru walls and aggro on you. So my advice is dont use area attacks. Its really not bad when you can take on 1 or 2 at a time, but 5 or 6 is impossible.

hey devs you have a big as$ bug about the corvette. If your group gets on bikes before they go up (the ticket bearer being the only exception) they pop outside the ship. Park your bike just OUTSIDE the wall walk in clear the room. if you get in trouble hop on your bike and ride out of range. rinse repeat. The corvette was a blast. My group did the neutral one. We lasted all the way up to when our doc got agro from 5 corsecs. died fairly slowly ( bout 3 seconds) then died the whole while trying to get to the escape pods. make that way clear. be able to rebuff and heal wounds. Then it will be worth the horrible atrocities that happen to you whilst in there. Good fun. hard. fast. but fix the clone camping and rebuffing issues and you have yourself a kick arse dungeon to challenge peeps.
