I like the idea of the "Village" as long as it's well done. Also would suggest that it is instanced... to eliminate some of the problems already brought up in this thread. But I'm assuming it will be some kind of "random" spawn to keep the number of new Jedi at a minimum?

The "Quest Journal" sounds interesting also.

1.) i guess so

I would just like to ask the developers of this project to PLEASE, PLEASE make this village instance that way everyone is thereby themselves surrounded by these force sensitive npc's and it will also prevent extreme lag. And I would also like to add that the village being a random spawn is a really REALLY bad idea. I just suggest making it instanced.

This type of business ethic continues at SOE because of their CEO, John Smedley. Little does the public know, that Star Wars Galaxies was scrapped in 2002 and redeveloped in 14 months from the ground up. In a meeting, they asked how they could get away with releasing such an unfinished product. John Smedley stated that people will buy it because it has a Star Wars name on it - and then laughed as they said they would complete the retail product (which consumers have already paid $49.99 for) with approximately 2 years of subscription revenue

•Do you like the idea of the Village of Aurilia?

Yes good idea. Just don't give players all of the information along the way. Make them "earn" their way and figure out puzzles and quest mysteries and not just spoon feed the quests to them.

I want some intrigue and things to figure out so I can actually "play" and not "grind" the game like it's been from day one. If you tell the whole path all the way I guarantee 100% that players will grind it.

•Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?

Yes, very good idea. It was a little frustrating on TC2 doing Knight trials even that you weren't sure where you were at and how many kills etc. You had to keep track on paper.

This is a nice added feature. Giving a sense of % of completion and measuring point.

It's sounds like a good idea.

I hope it's understandable, because English is not my native language.

But I think, FS-Quest mustbe more than only killing Mobs.

Quest must be, which can make also craftsmen, but no pure delivery missions.

Thus demand Quest those the combination gift of the players.

Quest those the hacker Quest (Nym's Quest part) are similar to solve butwith much more difficulty.

TH,

What is the "compensation" method for those of us that have completed multiple masteries in our search for force sensitivy before Pub 10?

It's a simple question; please answer it.

I don't like pointless grinds.
Thank you for reintroducing decay!!!
I like a complex, immersive world simulation, full of possibilities, challenges and roleplay.
I want a player driven, crafting-based economy.

Oooooooo.....

I like it!

Sounds like a great idea. But I too would like to know if this is AFTER you've achieved Force Sensitivity, or before.

Looking forward to this with baited breath.

I like the idea of the Aurellia and I like the idea of the quest journal.

I think, however, there needs to a be post that clarifies the whole FS/Jedi process. It seems that it is essentially broken-up into three parts,

(1) unlocking your FS character/abilities,

(2) transitioning from FS to Padawan, and

(3) transitioning for Padawan to Jedi

If I understand correctly, Aurellia will come into play after you'veunlocked you're FS abilities and is not part of the path to becoming FS. Essentially the mysterious NPC comes to tell you that you've unlocked your FS abilities.

1. How will holo-grinders be rewarded in the new system.

Many players would like this answered - How bout letting us know?

I like both ideas, with caveats.

The village and it's ability to go there:

As many many people have said long before me, it would be best if this village is instanced so that it retains the right feel of solitude. I can only assume from what I read that seemingly at a random point while playing the game an NPC will somehow present themself to you and what might be a perfect idea would be to provide you with a special no-drop ticket that allows you to travel to and from this village from any starport at any time. If there is still a need for a money drain, you could add a charge, but I don't see the direct necessity.

The village occupants:

I can understand having different quest givers, and I really really like the idea that choosing the quest you want to do will help choose what your force sensitive abilities are. I think this would be a great way to diversify the quests so that anyone can become force sensitive, not just combat types. What I understand from the post was that there will be enemies in this village, perhaps I misunderstood, but it doesn't seem to make sense with the story, perhaps it should just be people who don't agree with a character's chosen path and do not wish to speak with them (for instance, a force sensitive medic who does not care for the wonton destruction that a commando typically offers).

The Quest Log:

This is a great idea, but does it only log force sensitive quests, it would seem a great shame if that were true. I would hope that it keeps track of any quest that can only be done once, and does not become cluttered with information on semi-random quests that can be found in any city, result in either a destroy, deliver, or escort mission that pays out a few thousand credits. It should also not contain any more info about missions other than the current ones at the most.

A Server of Jedi:

I have to assume that getting into this village will not be easy, and once you are there it will be less easy still, but given enough time, what is to stop everyone from at least being force sensitive on the bigger servers where people have been grinding since before the path was known? I can understand seeing a few jedi on my server in high difficulty caves, but even I don't like seeing them dueling in the coronet starport while waiting for a ship to arrive.

Holocrons:

My last request is that something useful be done with the existing holocrons, perhaps they can still give clues on how to get a visit from a traveling villager. As it is, they are nearly useless boxes that people addorn their houses with, and I have one that is no-drop that I can't use because it remains silent. If nothing is going to be done to make them useful, could we be told so I can delete the one I have in the bank and get a little bit of space back, either that or make the holocrons that come from the jedi hermit dropable, I fought for 10 minutes straight for that thing, at least let me leave it in my house.
