•Do you like the idea of adding a quest journal?
I like both ideas, with caveats.
The village and it's ability to go there:
As many many people have said long before me, it would be best if this village is instanced so that it retains the right feel of solitude. I can only assume from what I read that seemingly at a random point while playing the game an NPC will somehow present themself to you and what might be a perfect idea would be to provide you with a special no-drop ticket that allows you to travel to and from this village from any starport at any time. If there is still a need for a money drain, you could add a charge, but I don't see the direct necessity.
The village occupants:
I can understand having different quest givers, and I really really like the idea that choosing the quest you want to do will help choose what your force sensitive abilities are. I think this would be a great way to diversify the quests so that anyone can become force sensitive, not just combat types. What I understand from the post was that there will be enemies in this village, perhaps I misunderstood, but it doesn't seem to make sense with the story, perhaps it should just be people who don't agree with a character's chosen path and do not wish to speak with them (for instance, a force sensitive medic who does not care for the wonton destruction that a commando typically offers).
The Quest Log:
This is a great idea, but does it only log force sensitive quests, it would seem a great shame if that were true. I would hope that it keeps track of any quest that can only be done once, and does not become cluttered with information on semi-random quests that can be found in any city, result in either a destroy, deliver, or escort mission that pays out a few thousand credits. It should also not contain any more info about missions other than the current ones at the most.
A Server of Jedi:
I have to assume that getting into this village will not be easy, and once you are there it will be less easy still, but given enough time, what is to stop everyone from at least being force sensitive on the bigger servers where people have been grinding since before the path was known? I can understand seeing a few jedi on my server in high difficulty caves, but even I don't like seeing them dueling in the coronet starport while waiting for a ship to arrive.
Holocrons:
My last request is that something useful be done with the existing holocrons, perhaps they can still give clues on how to get a visit from a traveling villager. As it is, they are nearly useless boxes that people addorn their houses with, and I have one that is no-drop that I can't use because it remains silent. If nothing is going to be done to make them useful, could we be told so I can delete the one I have in the bank and get a little bit of space back, either that or make the holocrons that come from the jedi hermit dropable, I fought for 10 minutes straight for that thing, at least let me leave it in my house.
