Is this some kind of sick joke? You take the time to wander over multiple planets not knowing what you are even looking for, only to find out you need to search drums that until now have been decoration? Having to go into the nightsister labor camp?

Ok, no big deal only takes half a day, so you get your little ticket to board the shuttle and have your group assembled and buffed ready to go up to the corvette to find out you are the only one to spawn and your group is all sitting on tatooine going what happened?

Ok, no big deal you only have 15 pissed off people that wasted time, money, and medicine for nothing but the satisfaction of knowing thisIS some kind of sick joke.

Now for the icing on the cake, since I am the only one that actually spawned on the corvette I guess I will take a look around while I wait for a reply to the ticket I submited. What a surprise, no walls, no floor, no ceiling, no mobs, nothing but space to admire through the doorway of the spawn location. Game breaker is not a term I have ever used or even considered to ever use since I truly do enjoy playing this game, but lately it has been things like new caves and loot that have kept me motivated to stick with this game while everyone, let me repeat that, EVERYONE I know has quit due to pointless grinding with no jedi, broken items, pointless pvp, the list goes on and on.

Well much to my surprise no awnser to my ticket, maybe it will be awnsered at the same rate my last ticket was awnsered, 3 months later!?!?!?!!!! If this is the best the people I pay money to for entertainment can do I no longer see a point to paying money in anticipation for better days just to be majorly let down. I truly hope I dont get a reply to a ticket weeks later saying sorry nothing we can do blah blah blah since this experience has already soured me on this game, that will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

If you have had similar problems to mine and my group I highly suggest you spam as many tickets and bug reports and forum posts as you can humanly possibly stand to post, maybe if enough people show their disgust in this matter they will do something, but then again that is some serious wishful thinking.

Good jobon the corevette Devs. Its about time we get some hard content in this game. Keep this stuff coming. A small group went out last night (4 of us total), and we werent able to finish it (almost, but ran out of time). This will actually provide some much needed content to this game.

Not being able to cruise through the missions like everything else in this game is a good thing. My guild is looking forward to completing all 3 missions, no matter how long it takes us.

Don't listen to the whiners and lower the difficulty.

Your full of crap. no way did you nearly finish it, stop spwewing garbage out of your mouth.

The Pros of my visit to the Corvette -Imperial:

- Although it was insanely difficult, it was fun.
- I have talked about it all day with my buddy who was in our group last night.
- The scenery of the corvette and the new droids was very nice.
- Finally a zone that isn’t extremely laggy

The Cons of my visit to the Corvette - Imperial:

- Rebels on board were between 100k - 250k HAMs - 10 people is not enough
- 90% Full Composite Armor - 4k plus damage taken
- Fully buffed (Master DR, Master dancer, Master Musician, Food, Drink, Spice) dead after
the third mob.
- Mobs agro through walls
- Mobs camp the "cloned re-spawn point"
- AT-STs are killed just as fast as PCs
- AT-STs, only their legs are visible as they're to tall for the environment
- Severe decay caused by too many multiple deaths
- Can not buff inside the corvette
- time limit is far too short for the difficulty level of the mission
- zero loot for the risk vs. reward
- If a couple unarmored Jedi and an unarmored chick bound by chains can destroy super
battledroids in a couple hits in our beloved movies, how is it that a fully buffed player
can get dropped before they can even see a super battle droid lift their arm.
- The entire zone is by far, severely out of balance
- Pets took up far too much room in the environment
- Re-spawning mobs? C'mon isn’t SWG supposed to be based on fictional reality, not EQ Dungeon crawling.
- Assist macros still do not actually change the target to whom you are assisting. Yes you
begin to auto-fire against the mob you’ve assisted on, however you can not send pets, or
specials to the mob because you don’t actually have the mob targeted.

Suggestions:

- Lower the npcs HAM to about 12 - 20k, and add many more mobs.. much like the classic
scene from "A New Hope".
- Rebalance this event.
- Fix mob agro radius, and make walls solid to npcs.
- why have mobs camp the re-spawn point, they were not there when we first zoned in.
- do not allow mobs to re-spawn
- Add proper loot
- Fix the risk vs. reward programming for the entire game, not just the corvette.
- Either balance AT-STs with the environment or disallow them period, they actually do not
fit in the environment, they weren't in the movie, they don’t fit in the game for this
dungeon. While you're at it, remove the pets all together from this zone.
- decay is fine, the problem was caused by the death cycle caused by the insane difficulty
so just reduce the difficulty
- what in the world would prevent people from buffing inside a starship, again the game is
based on fictional reality.
- dead people and droids don’t get back up 15 mins later, again fictional reality.

The biggest and most important suggestion of all.

STOP GIVING US MORE BROKEN CONTENT, JUST TAKE A MONTH OR TWO AND FIX ALL THE LITTLE BUGS
THAT ANNOY US ALL!

- Assist macro. C'mon how difficult is this. Look at the EQ game engine its not that
hard.
- Radial screen for vehicles, still do not update properly
- Dismounting from a vehicle may leave you up to 100m away from your dismounted vehicle,
leaving your vehicle spinning in circles
- Both PC and NPC combat balance as it is all out of whack.
- Risk vs. reward
- put the Smuggle in Smuggler
- A better or customizable reward for the use of spice.
- Crackdown searches don’t actually find sliced weapons
- zone lag
- extreme frame rate problems caused by the presence of vehicles
- server down time, are you running SWG on a Microsoft OS. Do you really need to reboot
this often?

There are tons more bugs in the game, these are simply some of the most frustrating I
can think of.

The Corvette is hard, no doubt about it. I am, however, a member of an "Uber" PA. We all have the best armour, weapons, food and drugs in the game, and we also have excellent leadership and tactics.

My PA group went up about 5 times, and never did finish the Rebel Destroy mission, but we got very close on our last run.

I enjoyed the content, and will be going back until we beat all of the Rebel missions.

The only problem I have is the lack of reward. I did not clone once the entire time, only dieing twice then instantly rezzed by our MD. Yet my brand new 85% base 21% stun comp went from 35000 condition to around 19 to 21K condition during only the first 3 trips.

Let me repeat this. My 1.5 million credit suit of comp lost around 10 to 15K condition just from fighting in the Corvette, not cloning at all, just fighting.

Something up there is ruining people's armour, and thats not a good thing considering you get no real reward from the mission.

Either look into the insane decay rates or provide everyone who goes up the monetary reward to replace what they will lose, or no one will be going back to the corvette much at all.

It was hard. Verry hard.

I had a lot of fun.. Had a group of some elites.. We did ok till we got to the battle droids. 1 hit for 2k dmg hurts bad.

You wont find me complaing tho.. finially something tuff.. Im a MHS/ Master DOC. So most things come easy but . WOW this was tuff..

Since these are instanced maps, why not addanEasy, Medium, and Hard difficultysetting based on the NPC you initiated the quest with? This would allow more or less everyone to enjoy the new dungeon and our first look at a space dungeon.

Easy[Badge only]

Medium [Badge and current rewards given]

Hard [Badge, current rewards and improved drop rate]

This new dungeon is a fantastic idea, however its quite obvious that its strictly targeted towards a very elite and small audience. Basically, the majority of us who would like to try this out, aren't as 'uberfied' as you think we are. *laughs*

To the "Finally a challenege people" - This appears to be another stall by SOE to keep you and me here for one more month.

After reading up on all the "SWG is dying posts," I start to wonder if SWG is even sufficiently staffed. I mean the game is huge, I would think it needs a large staff/dev team. Does SOE not have the manpower to fix the simple bugs that have annoyed us for months or is there a different reason that they still exist? Anyone from SOE want to RE on this one? I'm not here to crucify anyone; I just would like to hear from you to maintain my objectivity.

I believe this has the potential to be a great game. USE the potential. LISTEN to the players. RESPOND. Good customer service basics here.
The last thing you need is a bunch of disgruntled ex-SWG fans-turned-hacker targeting your EQ2 servers.

BACK ON TOPIC

Proposition: If they take the bugs/crap out, the corvette would not need to be nerfed. However I favor a better realism factor where you get a swarm of lower (but better than PC) HAMs trying desperately to defend their objective. We are talking enemy capital ship here, right? As it stands you may as well replace the high-end NPCs with jedi. read post by C5Jedi http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_live&message.id=11275&page=15 excellent post

Now on to content with temperature rising on the inside.

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE very sad...

How the heck did this make it out of the testing center with issues like:
- shooting through walls (PC and NPC)
- area attack passes through walls (not a new issue)
- griefing at the clone room (just not cool)
- no escape pod confirmation (no I didn't...)

TOTAL CRAP

Additionally most people who responded are saying

NO DECAY ON DEATH
this just sucks since we already take armor damage (who can afford a new set of comp every day?)

Let docs rebuff
in one location and not be aggroed to death while trying to get there (don't rebuff if you don't want one, ok?)

Fix the armor hole
should be about the same probablility as finding a crystal in a sealed container

Add proper loot
CDEF for sale...anyone? a new vehicle?

Fix the risk vs. reward factor
make it worth the time and money expended

NPCs should melee at close range
like they do in every single other location in SWG (they shot point blank while prone?)

Fix the Overt/Jedi TEF problem
some dude returned from the corvette to find his jedi died while he loaded? that's just not right

Pet problems
i dunno, no pets inside maybe?

Temperature dropping...

TOTALLY AWSOME CONCEPT - Fix the realism factor

read post by C5Jedi http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_live&message.id=11275&page=15 most excellent

battle droids
in the movies, Gungans take them out with one shot...took us about a minute or so

super droid
we took at least 2 out This is the one acceptable super MOB (IMO) that should make you wet your pants

BA MOFO CAPTAIN OF THE UNIVERSE HERE'S YOUR AZZ REBEL
250K HAM? LOL LOL LOL balance? realism factor? hello?

Engineer
can we make them slaves/pets so they can repair our bikes?

DON'T LIKE

Make 2 instanced corvettes
one realistic and one for those sadistic "will beat this no matter the cost SWG addicts" Select either one at the departure point.

Also make one that caters difficulty to the group or indviduals in the group
this would really make a lot of people happy

Make a Solo version for all the Hans out there
same loot?

THE GOOD
- Concept
- Graphics
- Atmosphere
- Music
- Group adventure
- and it WAS fun in a sick kind of way

Temperature returns to normal...

"we beat on her and beat on her and beat on her, low on HAM i ran into a corridor for a breather *incap*....minute later she comes walking down the hall about 1/3 health left...I return to the 5 or 6 bodies of the group thinking something is very, very wrong here..."

It was fun. Had a blast.

few things though
- let us rebuff, that would help out alot
- Insurance, the storm troopers are griefers. Never 1 did I get DB, they all did the 3x incap. I went through an entire set of armor fighting here.
- Map, looking at it you get confused, wish it was just what you could see.
- Only 10 people allowed, let us bring the entire group. Keeps groups happy.

Other than that it was fun and challenging. Keep it hard, it is fun that way.

I do find it curious that those who claim that the Corvette's well done and that they appreciate the difficulty... often haven't been able to finish it themselves, even uber buffed, armored, and backed with 9 of their elite pals. Their announcement that it's not too hard really has little merit until they themselves can complete it with regularity. Otherwise, it's just empty, uber "don't listen to the whiners" posturing.

NO!

If groups can complete it with regularity then it is too easy... The whole point is that it is challenging them every time and that makes it fun. If you think fun is being able to complete everything with no challenge then go play a fps in easy mode or using god cheats...

Those who are saying it is fine as it is after getting beaten by it are saying it because the didn't breeze through it, it will remain a challenge to them and keep them interested.

Oh and on a side note to all the people who are complaining they can't do it because they have yet to master their professions, or are crafters:

There are several dungeons on each planet that are suited for those who have yet to reach elite combat master...

Crafting is its own content, combat players don't expect to be able to access all the options crafting gives you... You can't expect to access all the options combat gives combat players.

Before youattempt the corvette bewarned that you can only have groups of 10, to buff before going in, to expect any form of kinetic & energy damage type to be useless on the corvette, that you will not be able to buff/re-buff in the corvetteand to expect item decay after dying & using the ship's cloner.

So far, I am 0 for 2 in completing the Rebel rescue mission on the corvette and I have to say that I found both time to be somewhat fun & furstrating at the same time. It is exteremly difficult, but not impossible.

Lessons learned...

Stay together. If your group stays together, your group will last longer.

No AOE specials. Don't use any Area Of Effect specials or you will aggro everything on the ship.

Lure. Try and lure the aggros into your group one at a time or in pairs.

Sacrafice. At certain points in the corvette, one person in your group will have to draw the aggros (ie. super battle droids) away from the group so that the group can accomplish the current objective that is required
