Wahh Wahhh, Boo forking hoo. Players are supposed to be pitted against one another, unless you think this mmorpg is supposed to be a pve game with a little help from your friends. I dunno; but it seems to me from day 1 when I read the entire instruction manual that rebels and imperials fighting was a main concearn with the game, and there were rumors of jedi that exist and bounty hunters do exist. This makes a logical conclusion come to light where the bounty hunters hunt the jedi. PvP is another form of player interaction, and I read you all incessantly complaining that you can't kill everyone else in the frikkin game. If you are setting yourself up for uber PvP status, be prepared to die, there is always a bigger fish. Just to prepare for any remarks, a jedi is an exclusive PvP profession which is why you people keep complaining about killing entire populations of outworlds worth of "innocent creatures like baby seals, and silent whales".
You are a Baastard, prepare to die!
I think you missed the point. The problems are BH can group and form gank squads. Jedi can't group (and gain GTEF on the BH if the same faction). Missions only go away when the jedi is killed. Jedi lose a massive amount of time upon death. BH has no real costs associated with death. There are far too many opportunities for grief a jedi and far toofew ways for a jedi to protect themself.
As far as the player interaction goes, sadly SOE has made it so a jedi must play the MMORPG like a single player game.
No one is asking for God-mode. No one is asking to be able to kill anything andevery profession. They just want the same opportunity to play the game and have some fun. As it is now, you're going to see jedi sitting in their houses for 3 weeks sitting and standing. The only jedi that are going to be in PvP groups andgroup hunts are those that are finished with their template.

How is jedi like playing single player mode when a group of 5 bounty hunters can attack them? Do I smell player interaction?
It is understandabe that a non-jedi player could be overheard talking to a friend about his jedi friend. I think same faction jedi should be able to group without equalling visibility. How do you actually know that playing with same faction jedi gives you visibility anyway? For all you know a non-jedi from an opposing faction may have driven within 300 meters of you briefly while you were killing that rancor or whatever with your sabre. If you use your jedi powers at all you are advancing your personal PvP status, and are putting yourself at as much risk as anyone who fights you when you become the uber knight who can solo kill 5 bounty hunters. It seems you have to be able to survive those same 5 bounty hunters before you can defeat them, that is the real challenge.
You smell player interaction for the BH. But the jedi is forced into utter isolation until they have finished.
Visibility is gained by using saber/force in front of even allied PCs and NPCs. Even being grouped does not change the way visibility is gained.
The range of visibility is 32m.
I have no problem with PvP. I love it. But there needs to be risk for the BH. There needs to be reward for the jedi. I've never seen 5 BHs come after a jedi. Rather 1 BH and other elite professions grouped with them (TKM and def stackers being preferred).
There needs to be away for jedi to interact with other allied players without having to spend months solo.
There needs to be risk for the BH like losing skills upon death.
There needs to be a reward for the jedi (like getting off the terminals for killing the BH or a huge XP gain).
Face it. The way it is now isn't going to be fun for jedi nor BH. Jedi are going to AFK in private structures until off the terms. They are going to run, swim and log. New jedis are going to get ganked and end up not playing because they feel like they will never get out of the negative.
No matter which side of the bh/jedi interaction you are on you have to admit that the current system is borked.
It's wierd, Jedi want to be special without doing anything special in the process.

i bet you are not even close to having a jedi angetenar, and thats why you talk the way you are. i put alot of effort into becoming a jedi and i dont want to be a god mode player with it, but i do want to be able to get on and off the bh terms fairly. i have been hunted by over 12 bh in the last 6 days and they all had at least 4 others with them.i killed about 8 of the bh and they just come back after me with a bigger group.the reason i get so many bh after me is cause of my status before publish 10, i was a well known pvper. so i have all these people i have killed seeking revenge, thats ok with me. my compliant is that no matter who kills me or who i kill the bh still has a tef on me, and no matter how good im am i cant kill everyone that is zerging me constantly. now i am forced not to play my jedi untill the devs fix this.
1) Remove all forms of XP Gains and Penalties from Bounty Hunter Jedi Missions.
2) Remove the Credit Payout on Player Jedi missions.(BH is the only profession allowed to hunt another player, that 'is' the reward)
3) If 1 and 2 are not done, then remove Player Bounties altogether, or else the griefing just contiunes. Note: with no payout/xp gain/loss there is now no possible exploit as well.
4) Keep visibility as it is, allow Bounty Hunter to hunt Player Jedi for the challenge and fun that is truely is, once either player is incapped(TEF clears), mission ends, and they will probably chat/laugh etc.
5) Add new Jedi NPC missions for Bounty Hunters, challenge level, XP and Payout of NPC Jedi based upon Skill Points spent in Combat Professions of the Bounty Hunter.
6) To simulate the control of the Jedi; add Jedi Hunter NPC's, these would be NPC's that would randomly attack a Jedi anywhere they happend to be, the challenge level of these NPC's would be based upon the Force Sensitive and Jedi Skill Points that have been spent, now this is where the XP loss would come into play, upon being defeated(incap) by the NPC(s) the jedi would loose XP the same as it is calculated now, this will also allow the continuation of the 200k XP loss upon cloning(hunting out in the wild and not being careful etc). Have the frequency of these attacks based upon the Visibilty that the Jedi has generated.
7) FRS XP, use same idea as above to for the FRS Jedi, as it is now, they don't play or many have dropped completely out of the FRS, this would allow them to be attacked and 'gain' FRS XP by killing these NPC Jedi Hunters, or loose FRS XP if defeated.
Very nice. 5 stars.

I wouldn't know how close I am to having a jedi. I never wanted one. If I wanted one I would have one. Having played since launch, I've put in more than enough time in this game to have ground out every single profession in this game well before publish 8. Don't for one second try coming across to me like you're special because you ground out a bunch of profs.
Also, I'm not saying the BH/Jedi system can't be improved. If you checked my other post in this thread you would have noticed that I commented that I didn't like an aspect of the current system. What I am saying is to not to remove XP loss. They've all but removed every damn death penalty, including those not involving Jedi, from this game. If they remove XP loss, like every other death penalty they have removed in this game, they will never put it back. Even after the reason for removing it is gone.
