Thread: Friday Feature Errata... Part 2...
I have kept up with this thread, and read every post. I can assure you that threats about cancellation, 36 point text, and massive rants do not sway our opinions. Well reasoned posts do.
This issue is still under consideration. TH will post more soon.
thx,

You are what you do...

Well, since I'm the one you all are talking about I'd like to ask one question:
How are any of your behaviors any better/worse than anything I was percieved as doing in that thread and even in this one?
At least I was responding and refuting JustG's posts in the thread--keeping it within the general topic of how well the devs are doing and/or repsonding to JustG's DIRECT responses to me, personally.
That certainly is less trollish than all the 100% off-topic, non direct responsive posts calling me a troll and asking I be banned.
Hello, Kettles, this is the pot, you're all as dark or darker..
JustG,
The issues was highly debated during beta, but what about a time decay on clothing. I think this is the answer, because there needs to be two different factors at work here:
1) Promote and encourage PvP (there is a war going on after all)
2) Keep a constant demand for Tailors (and BE tissues)
Timed based decay works for both of these. It's not the worst thing in the world if someone leaves the game for a month, and then come back in and they log in naked...it's not the worst thing in the world. But there needs to be some kind of comprimise in what all of the players want. On a few other points:
- Armor should NOT take the timed decay penalty. I've gone through a chest plate completely in less than 4 days with zero deathblows.
-Fix repair with respect toclothing (as well as the rest of the game...how does repair work, please, please tell us).
If I'm not mistaken, the mechanics for this were into effect during Beta 2 or 3. Otherwise, why can't clothing take damage when worn like armor? Give it higher condtion, 0 encumbrance and 0% base effectiveness, a set of ribbed pants takes damage the same is if you were wearing ubese pants. Damage is applied whenever you gain wounds. If you sample radioactive, you get wounds and your clothing is torn a bit. If you get it fighting, etc.... Dancers and Musicians already consume a high amount of clothing constantly, it's part of that profession, it's the appeal to the other classes in the game that you have to make a constant market for.
They may not, but after that original Friday Feature blunder, can you honeslty blame people for being just slightly pissed off about it? Kinda hard to give well reasoned posts after something like that. You may not have liked how people were behaving after the fact, just as the players didn't like being told one thing for a month then told something completely different...

Grow up. The kid was acting like a troll and not adding anything positive to the conversation. I'm glad that JustG showed that he has some balls, unlike most of you posters who just whine all the time and one star other peoples posts.
Wow, dev posts sure to bring out troll and fanboy (yes you) posts. Try following the whole story before you say anything else stupid. Meenah didn't do much more than ask the same question that many of us asked. Meenah just asked it a little better, more pointed andlessinsulting, than the rest of us.
***Why is there double decay for pvp?**
This questionWAS the thread. If JustG had, as you said above, " showed that he has some balls" he could have killed this thread before it turned nasty and he ended up calling is customers names. We're not that unreasonable. If you put agood argument infront of most of us we'll probably be ok with it. There's been no communication about this (other than the obviously bad info the devs gave poor TH) so it seems a little sadistic to do to players. If G wants ideas from us, it'd help to know why certain things are in the game.
Looks like we'll have to wait and see what kind of mess they come up with next. Sounds like G is going to hide behind TH again and let him break the news to us. Atleast the flames are entertaining.

I have to agree with you there. ![]()
Not saying I don't sympathize with JustG, just that it was extremely unprofessional.
