Whoa... Big issue! Lots of posts. I'll just sign in with my thoughts since everybody else have.



If the hologrind goes away - fine. Splendid. It is a silly way to become a jedi.


Making it easier to live as a jedi at the same time... Not very smart, I think.


Puttingjedi-rewamp first in the line of fixes - Very bad! It's an very small percentage of the user population. A loud one, obviously, but very small. What about all the regular professions there's something wrong with? Bad call, I say. Bad call.



And then some of you talk about FUN. Well, SWG never claimed it would be especially FUN to play a jedi. It was supposed to be very rare and very challenging. All the other professions and content was supposed to be FUN and entertaining. Maybe enough soto keep players from this extreme need to become a jedi.

Yeah I agree that we don't want people that have worked so very hard to get thier Jedi to have any fun at all. After all, the DEV's never said it would be fun to be a Jedi, they only said it would be challenging! So they are unaccountable.

This is great! Jedi will not be afraid to go into battle now. Before this jedis in battle were not pratical since it doesnt matter how many enemys (PCs) you kill, when they kill you once it is much more devistating. This will give a great balance to the Jedis in battle.

WEll I said it wouldn't happend but the Devs caved to the powergaming l33t d00ds just like they did in EQ. Thanks for lying to me at SW celebration. We now have EQ Galaxies. Raph you should have stuck to your guns and not allowed Jedi in the first place.

Here is my two cents.


No more perma death = great finally.


Change path to jedi, bad. Those of us who have grinded endlessly would like to think that others will have to go through the same hoops. Which is only fair. I understand that system you propose could be even more challenging then the current system to unlock a FS slot but I also feel that most of the population has already excepted the path which must be followed. Changing that I don't think is necessary.

I think it will become to easy to become a jedi, this will ruin the game in the end as no one else will want to do any other proffession!

They might aswell rename the game Star Wars Galaxies: A Republic Divided then if that happens, take out the Emperor from the game, take out Vader, stormtroopers, Star Destroyers, everything that is Star Wars in this time and age, and set the time to I don't know, 1000 years prior to ANH ... or even 4000 years for that matter.


Uuuu, I know, replace Vader and Palpatine with Exar Kunand Ulic Qel-Droma.

I have to laugh at how many people here didn't really read the post..all they saw was change the path to become a jedi...it says nothing about changing the path to open your slot! All they are thinking is WOW!, now all I gotta do is some stupid quests, and POOOF! I'm a Jedi ..yay! Wrong!....They appear to be stating that they are changing the Jedi advancement structure to make Jedi life a little more enjoyable..that's all. I for one see nothing wrong with the current way to open your slot..we pretty much know what to do.....yes, it's a long, hard, boring path, ....but that's what it's supposed to be..not a system of quests that you can be "rushed" through in a few hours. Only the ones that are truly dedicated to spending the amount of time to open the slot should get one. I feel it forces players to try professions that they wouldotherwise never have tried...We'd all be Master Commando/Bh/TK killing machines...then the game would be boring!! I have been on the grind for 2 months now, and am happy to say that I have really enjoyed some of the profession I have had to try because of the holocron....I am currently working on Dancer, which I would have NEVER done...but it's actually pretty cool.....so I think the system works. Everybody needs to stop whining about how "hard" it is to grind out your FSS...it's supposed to be hard!!!I do agree there needs to be some clarification from SOE on ther statement, but for now.....stop freaking, and play the game.

Staeveon....the devs do state, quoted from the 2nd paragraph...to rebuild the Jedi System to be quest-oriented. Rebuild to most people means tear down and start over....Jedi-oriented quests...and other elements the developers and the community fell should "MAKE UP THE PROCESS" of becoming a Jedi.
