Thread: Jedi Revamp Phase I
I think you missunderstand. Once you've unlocked your force sensitive slot, you are able to create another character on the server that you unlocked the force sensitive slot on. Which means you get TWO characters on ONE server, ONE of them being force sensitive, the OTHER being the character that you unlocked your force sensitive slot with. You then have your greenhorn untrained force sensitive padawan running around trying to become a jedi, or, you can make your force sensitive character a NON Jedi, and just have a spooky and mysterious force sensitive Master Chef running around.
This sound about right? Why yes, yes it does.
Also, someone please pay attention to my post thats like three above this one.

No no no FellStaff, I'm not talking about leveling up your Jedi like you would your normal character.
Take this as a template: Once you've mastered Jedi Knight, you're a neutral Jedi. Now, to become more powerful or more dynamic, you can choose to either become Dark or Light. To do the Dark Side, you go find a Dark Jedi trainer or do missions for Vader or something. He gives you missions that are sinister and evil and you do them, and you start to become a DARK Jedi. Once you've done enough missions for Vader and have been corrupted and filled with enough hate, you are then a Dark Jedi initiate, and drop your Jedi Master profession and start working on Dark Jedi.
Its just like a hybrid profession. You have Novice Medic (Jedi Initiate) then you are a Master Medic (Jedi Knight). From there, you can go either Doctor (Dark Jedi) or Combat Medic (Light Jedi). To do those, you go find Doctor or Combat Medic trainers and do missions for them.
See what I mean? It will add SO much MORE content and utterly dynamic player development to the game that those who strive for absolute power will get absolute stiffys doing so.

hahah, you think they'll add 'dynamic' content to what will be a smaller profession base than pikeman?
Jedi are PVP by definition within SWG. From the start, you pull a saber, or use force powers, you're open for PvP. Making PvP a requirement for the final level is not unreasonable, and making it a king of the hill situation is actually a pretty good idea to keep the highest level Jedi 'rare' as they kill each other off ![]()
Actually, its "neither". No, they will not be set back but theywont keep "Gaurdian 4-4-4-4" though. The system is being completely reworked. What they will get is all their skill points. Lets say you are Guardian 4-4-4-4. In the new system, you get all your skill points back, and then you alot them as you see fit in the new skill box arrangments.

Thunderheart what will happen to the current players who are jedi guardian or 4-4-4-4 in jedi guardian, they spend a ton of time to get there where they are now.
Are there plans to set them back to jedi apprentice? or do they keep to be jedi guardian 4-4-4-4?

As in, you STILL have the fifty billion Jedi exp you used to get to 4444 Guardian?

While that is fine, will you please tell us Does everyone get a second slot?
If not, what is the point of opening a second slot when you hit Jedi Knight?
I think the second slot works like this. Once you open up your "jedi slot", either character can become a jedi dabbler, or either can become full masters. The point in getting a second slot is because they don't want to have the people who hologrinded their way to jedi to be "rewarded" quite that much. If only we got 2 character slots, the new jedi would feel quite screwed over, and rightly so.

Yes, if you had 16 boxes in the old system, you get 16 boxes in the new system. However many complete boxes you have, you will keep.

Yes, anyone who puts in the effort gets the second slot.
