TH - this may be a bit premature to ask, but is it possible for someone to keep their template as they like it and still unlock the 2nd slot with the new system? Say I'm a MBH and dont have any SP's to throw away into other profs, am I out of luck?

T: Two quick questions

1. Will apxp be fixed prior to the initial revamp to allow those of us at guardian 4444 to master?

2. Will jedi who have chosen a path (darkside or lightside) be given the ability to rank up?

Specifically, I made the choice at apprentice to follow the light side of the force. However, I cant rank up in the rebellion and I cant communicate with a recruiter to buy factional equipment (i.e. turrets for our base). I understand having a darkside jedi with an atst might be a bit... off. Wouldn't it make more sense to code in exceptions rather than deny us the right to rank up at all?

TH,

Can you tell us how you plan on testing the Jedi Revamp on TC? There is a very, very small jedi population there, and not enough to test the entire profession. I'd love to test, but I can't unlock over there again. If I were a squad leader testing the SL revamp, I'd be creating a character over there to test out, but I don't have that option with Jedi

Please tell us there will be some type of character copy or something to test the revamp.

Yes, if you had 16 boxes in the old system, you get 16 boxes in the new system. However many complete boxes you have, you will keep.

Yes, anyone who puts in the effort gets the second slot.

Straight answer version.. NO you don't just get a second slot automagically without putting forth effort to work your way down the path of the Jedi. It is "unlocked".

TH I have only1 question i would like to see answered.

How is the new system going to treat almost jedi - almost Jedi knight with respect to BH.

As a already existing jedi, and not a guardian, if i pull out my sabre and play with it, (ya ya) Will I be forced into PVP because of TEF or BH ?

Understand JEDI EXP (exp based on normalized kills)

Master Elite Prof 3,891,000 exp / 4200 exp = 926 Rancors for Master Elite anything
Master LightSaber 15,280,000 exp / 1000 exp = 15280 Rancors for Master LS

Hey... what happened to jedi being rare? If everyone can get a jedi with their main then... that means that everyone who wants a jedi will basically have one, which is probably 90% of the players if not more.... Seems kind of backwards to me. I think I liked having to unlock the super secret jedi slot more.

Also, why do people think jedi need to have another character to support them as far as credits? I understand that as soon as a jedi uses any force powers or ignites the lightsaber they get a TEF and are attackable, but its still quite easy to do missions without getting caught. Lots of player cities have mission terminals, and alot of the player cities are like ghost towns. So there's nobody around to see you when you do your mission. I even did missions near the static non-player cities lots of times without running into anyone, and PvE combat vs monster lairs is the only thing player jedi are actually good at. Jedi are totally helpless PvP, but I found it way easier to make money as a jedi actually compared to my non-jedi if I felt like taking the risk of hunting near a city. Being a jedi is supposed to be hard anyway right? Hunting near a city is pretty small risk in comparison to the odds of someone actually seeing you as long as you use some caution and don't hunt near cities 100% of the time.

I think the populace spoke and the devs listened... People want to be Jedis. So, instead of making them rare, they're just making them very difficult and time-consuming to make. I don't think 90% of the people are going to want to be Jedis -- the more casual players are happy doing what they're doing. In my guild, only a small handful of people want to be Jedis.

So in order to become full fledged Dark or Light Jedi, we are forced to engage in what is the crappiest PvP system ever created? That is absurd! Why should those of us who can't STAND the griefing idiots who will undoubtedly become super uber-leet Jedi Masters be forced to lower our brows and grunt while swinging glowbats at bullied children who bought their Jedi account off Ebay? If I've taken the serious amount of time and effort to craft my Jedi to be what I want it to be, and I EARN the right to be a Dark Jedi, then I want to have the title and name of a Dark Jedi.

From my understanding, it sounds like that in order to become Dark or Light, which are two totally different designations of Jedi, you must first become a generic Jedi Knight, and either continue on the path of righteousness, or succumb to the will of the Dark Side. I will assume that depending on which way you go, you'll be able to train in your specific Jedi powers. Dark Jedi can have Force Choke, Lightning, Pull/Push, Mind Control etc.. and Light Jedi get whatever weakling powers they have. Dark Jedi are usually associated with all the malicious and evil powers, where Light Jedi would probably receive lots of telekinetics, mind controls and so forth.

Basically, once you've become a Jedi Knight, you should have to QUEST to further your career as a Jedi. Meaning Jedi Knight is a Neutral Jedi, just like neutral players that aren't Imperial or Rebel. Your Dark, or Sith Jedi would be Imperial and your Light Jedi would align with Rebels. Each side gets their own specific powers along with the basics, but their force specific powers give them that distinction.

I hope that the DEV team seriously reconsiders having to force us to lower ourselves to lowly PvP in this game. Its already bad enough without being able to choke someone over the phone or shoot lightning out of your fingertips, but to have two Jedis fight each other competing for the same thing? Its like making a totally desirable class UNdesirable all at once!

PLEASE do not limit the Jedi career advancement to PvP, as it really doesn't make any sense to do so.

I'm still unclear on the whole "second character to develop as you wish". does that mean everyone gets a second character, or only those who finish the quest.

Looks like people that 'unlock' or 'find' the force sensitivity on their MAIN character will gain another character that isn't (and will never be) force sensitive. This is the REVERSE of what we currently have. Now you unlock a new character slot that is force sensitive. IMO the new way is a better balance, that allows you to keep your beloved character with all his skills, and either drop those skills and develop to your full potential as a Jedi, or not. The second character would be for those that wish to have a 'normal' character while developing their original character to his full Force potential. If they do the force sensitivity perks right a force sensititive character that doesn't have any Jedi training will still be special because of a 'slight' enhancement through the force.

I've been trying to make sense of all this mess on this thread. It seems that some seem to get what they're planning on doing and some don't. I would be one of those who don't. I understand that the Jedi system will be changed, and that existing Jedi won't lose anything. What I don't understand is this other slot. So my questions are:

Is there going to now be a way to have two Jedi?

If so, to have two do you need to unlock the first before the revamp?

So if someone, doesn't have to beTH would explain at least what they know so I can have some kind of clue LOL, that would be great. This includes anyone posting on this site. Help me out here i'm lost.

I guess I should have worded it better.

I assume we get the slot as we progress in the Jedi quests. Will we get the slot before I have to give up any skills from my character that is doing the quest.

Example: My character is Master Doctor and Pikeman and a little bit of a scout. I have no skills left. Will I have to become say a Jedi Knight and give up Master Doctor then open my slot?

Force sensitivity doesn't require skill points (as they've mentioned in other posts). You get force sensitivity, poof, now you have another character slot (that will never be force sensitive), and you can choose to develop your original character through Jedi training, or not.

Since day one (and before), they stated you could only have ONE force sensitive character slot. For current Jedi its the slot that came AFTEr unlocking. after the revamp your 'main' will be the force sensitive character and you will get another NORMAL character slot on the same server, so you can have a NORMAL character as well as a FORCE SENSITIVE character (your main) you can develop through Jedi training/experience.
