Sometimes i use 30 minutes for travelling vom bestine to yavin 4. But 27 minutes of this 30 minutes, im waiting on a shuttle. And there is no RP at starports.
One thing for me that is soooo agrivating is crafting, when I go to make a simple camp with my portable crafting tool in the field I just shudder before I start. For the love of me I cant figure out why all those fricken are you sure etc screens pop up, ya I'm sure or I wouldnt have initiated the crafting sequence. Plz Plz someone make that system simpliar and faster.
Now a silly question but why is all the water in the game wasted space, wasnt critters in the movies that only lived in the water ? Where are they in game ?
What are you planning to do about the upcoming Jedi-boom?
I mean atm there's alot of people coming to the game
And MANY wants to be Jedi.. And all those WILL be Jedis one day if the Holo thingy works this easy
A few things I thought about with this issue is for example:
Permadeath, bring permadeath to the point that you might even lose your FSCS if u die to much. Removing Permadeath just isn't a good thing, I tell you that.
FSCS only, when getting your FSCS you should REMOVE the other slot so there's still just a One-char server, just for the fact that people now have to choose,
normal char or Jedi
And I'm sure there's a lot of other even better things on the wall
But afaik there must be a change to it all before the big boom. Ty
There'ssomething that's been bugging me for a while that I think I've finally put myfinger on. I'd like to hear what other people think about it.
I've playeda numberof the PC games set in the Star Wars universe. In particular I enjoyed the FPS games: Dark Forces, DF II: Jedi Knight, DF II: Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (andI'll probably try Jedi Academy once the retailprice drops below $50).
I've already replayed all these a number of times because they're so much fun. Recently Icaught myselfconsidering going backto play themone more time(especially Jedi Knight, which featured some of the best level design in any FPS).But this timeit occured to me to ask myself, "Why? Why do I want to spend my precious time replaying an old game Yet Again when there's this amazing MMORPG I stillhaven't fully explored?"
In other words, what do the old FPS Star Wars games offer that SWG doesn't? And is there a lesson there for SWG?(I liked the space shooters X-Wing and TIE Fighter, too, but I'll wait for the Space Expansion before I start comparing them to SWG.
)
There are a number of possiblereasons, but I'd like to focus on one in particular. I haven't played SWG from a combat-only perspective -- I've done the crafter thing since SWGwas released -- so I haven't been to most of the dungeons or battlefields or othercombat-specific places. So maybe someone who has beento these placescan tell me: Are they more "industrial" than the rest of SWG?
All I see as a crafter are outdoor environments and the occasional home or starportinterior... but the Star Wars movies and FPS games arerich withindustrial-type interiors. Where are the factories? Where are the complex, high-tech manufacturing facilities? Where are the starship interiors? Where are the space stations and orbital defense installations? Why is it that I spend virtually all my playing time looking at dirt and trees instead of at walls of metal and plastic and glass?
Anybody?

Positives
- Money sink directly out of economy, possibly very large sink as well.
- Allows players to populate towns.
- Players can sell high end items in well known locations.
- Owning a place near known Star Wars lore locations is fun!
- Cities are more than just eye candy and more like player cities.
- Can add local politicsto NPC cities where players can run for mayor and maybe even planetary governor adding spice and real politics to the game that has meaning.
Negatives
- Fierce competition – But you guys get the money sink.
- Development time.
- May strain player run cities from receiving visitors – big maybe.
