I know this has been suggested before, but how about earning more Skill Points.
For example: every proffesion mastered gives you2 extra skill points to use as you see fit, giving you an extra 66 sp's for 33 mastered prof's.
This would not only be very rewarding to players, but be a great benefit to those who work hard and master all the professions.
This way you would have players trying out all professions and getting a better aspect and appreciation for the game. Now yes, this would resemble people holo griniding, but at least you would be getting a reward for each profession mastered, insead of wonding"does this one unlocks fs?".

On a similar note, since we do have a limited number of skill points and most people are having to drop skills to get others, it would be nice if there was a recognition system in place that would lessen the xp needed to get that dropped skill in the future.
For example: A skill that cost 1000xp to get the first time, will now cost 250xp after that. Same thing with the master boxes, cause having to get 620 app xp again is such a pain. Make master boxes only 155 app xp the 2nd time around.

I know you guys work hard at trying to keep this game balanced and fair. You do not want uber charcters walking around that can take on anyone or anything by itself. But you should it turn desgin the game to be like Paper-Rock-Scissors.
For example: Ranged Combatants should beat Melee Combatants, while Melee Combatants can beat Combat Medics and Doctors, and then Combat Medics and Doctors can beat Ranged Combatants.
I know my example is crude, but it should go something along those lines. That way you would have tohave strategy when going into combat since you would need all professions on your team to sucessfully take out the opposing group.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

I sort of like the addition of skill points idea. 66 extra may be too much. overall I am concerned about the econmy as hologrinding ends. there will be fewer people trying fewer things and will definitely impact the resources market. this idea may help to offset that. and of course there is thought lingering in all our minds - what skills am I going to have to give up to participate in Jump to Lightspeed.

oh - and I love the idea of a carbonite trophy, and I'm not even a BH.

oh and for the LOVE OF GOD make the spam advertisments stop.

Suggestion: Put a message board or something in front of the theed & coronet starports so that users can post advertisments there and not in the chat.

A BETTER RADAR!

The radar should become unreadableduring periods of extreme weather and at night in locations where there is no artificial lighting (aka in the middle of bloody nowhere). This will be a great benefit to PvPers and make soloist adventuring slightly more interesting, not to mention up the elusive immersive quality of the game.

Oh did I mention that soloists need to be the subject of more dev brainstorming sessions, given the game's current near totalemphasis ongang-banging?

I'd like to see a Planetary Record Keeper type npc added for Nym's stronghold. Many completed the quests before badges were handed out. Other themeparks have a restart option, could such an option be added to Nym's?

I been on Planetside and its made me think. for the GCW there should be a command system based on GCW FP rank that would alow ppl to share/enter new chat channels this would better alow groups of ppl form up and make PvP more wide spread, organized and intense. Also some kind of point to PvP combat... as of now entering some city and just attacking ppl severs no real point, if there was some kind of base non-PC but some static based that added server wide bonuses to the faction that controled it like more xp or better loot it would encourage productive PvP and would make the game better for all GCW. this would got well with publish 11.

3D4D wrote big post... Didn't include as to save space.

I agree withit andI also had an idea about content/hotspots/new dungeons. First, i think that there shouldn't beONE totally awesome place released every month, everyone flocks to one place causing lag and overcrowding.

Why not put out 2-3 cool places if we are going to have static dungeons?

Otherwise, i suggest there be moreinstanced dungeons. Also, if the dungeons are instanced... I think they should be scaled to the amount of people that enter them so that you would accomodate for a range between 1-20 players of different professions and levels.

I know this is a big task and i speak as if it could be done magically within seconds but i do realize that it takes lots of time and effort.

Could someone reply to this even if you just consider it?

ALSO.... I'd like to say that I LOVE the idea for player bounties on anyone, i think this should be instated, furthermore... I LOVE the idea posted for BOUNTY HUNTER TROPHIES! This would be awesome. It could even be different trophies based on the species killed. Such as: wookiee scalps, zabrak horns and/or skull with horns, a bothan paw keychain, human skull, trandoshan bones, etc.

I love this idea so much because many species in STARWARS take trophies, especially bounty hunters. Like trandoshans keep bone vaults and such. Boba Fett wears wookiee scalps on his suit. You could take any number of things as trophies too... Here is a list of things taken as trophies in other media:

Diablo: Ears

Predators: Skulls, Weapons, Various other artifacts.

Aztecs: enemy's Heart.

Modern Hunters: Horns, Heads, Pelts and Hides.

Star Wars: Han Solo in Carbonite.

Trophies symbolize pride of defeating an enemy.

Bounty Hunter Missions for Bounty Hunters that fail theirmissions. I've prayed to see this implemented since last year, I'm begging you. Hunting down another BH would pleasure me to no end.

Also, instead of a neutral faction, how about Hutt/Jabba/Valarian/Black Sun/blahblahetcetc...allowing Bounty Hunter's a choice of multiple factions is about as SW-ish as making Smugglers actually smuggle.

ok this is for thunderheart or c3p0.... i have 2 ideas i want to share... first dealing with the badges. many people work hard to get the badges they have and it seems our effort was ruined by location badges... i dont mind the location badges, but when u examine someone and see all of them you miss out on the ones that took reall time and effort to get.. my suggestion is after you visit all the spots on tatooine for example, you get a tatooine exploration badge... one for every planet. that way the limit is at 9 and not like 100...

my second suggestion is: i want to be able to swim, actually go under the water, maybe artisans can create small air tanks and that way we can go under water.. maybe see the gungan city. or there be caves underwater or temples or something... you are doing the space thing i think a water expansion would be wise as well.....

personally I would like to see more support equipment for GCW like shield generators and portable faction detectors so that players couldnt be spying while covert or covert while reinforcements arived.

I would also like to see a type of storm trooper that isnt umber that is about a skill level 3-4 so that non combat templates could have some fun all the troopers i run into con red even though im a level 4 pistol and level 4 rifle???

more art and better stuff in locked containers it seems the smugglers that need them the most are the least likely to get asked to open them.

theres too much overlap in the areas of buffs

food buffs

spice buffs (there negativly reinforced since you barf after one dose reguardless)

doc buffs (no negative effects except pocket book)

first spiced needs to be ADICTIVE you can avoid barfing by taking another dose but thespice effectduration will get shorter and the barfing more intencethe longer you use it.

there needs to be another down side to using spice "the bad trip" this is a occurance where either a different effect occurs than normal or the drug works normally with an unexpected side effect like mind poison, visions, odd control behavior, random emotions,

food needs a social factor people that surve food at a social gathering get points for serving high class food and drink or guards and officials respond to food bribes

This has been suggested before but I wanted to bring it up again. It might seem extreme but I think it could have major impact on the game.

In order to encourage more interesting player created content, I'd like to propose that players are given an additional "useless" character slot. People (like me) who like to roleplay / make plotlines / create player events often would like to have an additional character to use for roleplaying purposes while leaving our main character as is.

For example, maybe I'm making up a plot line that involves a shady smuggler coming to talk to some my citymates. Obviously, I can't do that with my main character if I'm not already a smuggler ("Just pretend I'm not Barafu right now, guys -- I'm really Joe the evil smuggler even though I still look like Barafu"). And sometimes recruiting another player to play a part is difficult also. Under my proposal we just fire up our extra slot, make Joe the evilsmuggler, and use him to introduce the plot line I want to unleash on my citymates.

Here's where the "useless" part comes in -- in order to for this proposal to not be effectively granting everyone a second account, the second slot would be completely nerfed. I mean completely. No skills, can't take missions, can't carry more than a few items (clothes and a couple of props), etc. Basically anything that would useful from a game mechanical point of view could be taken away while leaving the character the ability to walk around and create content. Obviously, with no usefulness to the character, you'd be able delete the character and create a new one for another event on a whim.

I think we'd see a lot more interesting stuff occurring in-game if we had this option.

I second ALL criticism directed at buffs .. you guys should have stopped with spice, at least they have a downside.

If buffs are to stay in, which no doubt is the case , at least introduce a tangible consequence to their use and abuse. Doctor's buffs should cause temporary mental 'disruption', and if abused .. say 3x per day every day, there should be a risk of permanent brain damage. As forentertainer buffs, the same could apply .. the rationalization for which would be a player being 'bummed out' for a while aftercoming down off of an entertainer induced euphoria? *snicker* .. and if they do it too often, it could cause permanentpsychosis. .. no willpower or focus .. blah blah.

The lengths of time involved need to be a proper reflection of the length of time the buffs are employable, as is the case with spice .. 10 min high, 2 mins with head in toilet.

Anyway, do something about buffs... all they have accomplished ismakngwhat little thought players were forced to put into combat before, entirely unnecessary. Not an improvement.
