Thread: Daily Test Center Bug Thread: Tuesday, April 13th, 2004
Yesterday I took on Novice Entertainer using the trainer outside of the NU cantina and got a new 'Helper Droid'. Didn't need it so I stored the droid and deleted it out of my datapad. This afternoon when I logged on I still had the droid in my datapad. I was able to call it, but wasn't able to do anything else with it, though it did greet me. I stored it again and deleted it.
Now I just logged in again after being out for about an hour and what do I see when I log on? A green "newbie" droid. Have just stored it and deleted it again. I fully expect that it will be there again when I log back in. Let's call this the "newbie droids just won't die" bug.
TH,
Any chance of permanently reanimating harvisters? I've never really seen an explanation for why they don't work, but I've always assumed they were turned off to ease server lag. For people who run a large number of harvesters with a multitude of different resources (and no survey ability) it forces me to go out and check my harvs every day, manually.
Thanks!
I downloaded the test center data about 6:00p today. First attempt to use it received several immediate Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library errors. I performed a full scan of the files. When I went in the third time, I was able to create a new character. When I attempted to enter the game it crashed again with the same error. After some quick updates at the next log on I was able to get to the loading screens. At first it froze and loaded nothing, then with each successive reboot it appeared to go further into the load. I found it would freeze, but if I went back, then clicked next again, it would go a bit further before crashing out to the runtime error again.
I'm currently running a Windows 2000 os, on a MSI K8T Neo with an AMD Athlon 64 proccessor, 1 gig DDR, using an MSI Video Graphics Accelerator with an NVida FX5950 Ultra.
Art Issues:
On the buildings in Theed, some of the surfaces are flashing at a very high rate. It usually happens on the big segments of the walls. I have a ATI 9800 Pro with the latest catalyst drivers.
Dantooine Mining Outpost.:
Still getting entering and leaving a pirate outpost.
Character Selection Screen:
Please fix the misreporting of the server loading. I logged out to switch to another character for a minute. When I get out it is reporting Naboo and Dantooine as loading for my characters. I hit the create button and it shows it loading there. I back and forth a couple of times for it finally to report online. This occurs within a minute, so I know the server isnt currently loading. Especially when I'm talking to my friend who is still on Dant.
i'm not sure if this is the right board to report this but everytime i try to log into TC Bria, i get a C++ Runtime Error and close to desktop. i have no problem logging on to TC or Bria (in Live). really sort of annoying. i was gonna see if an MBH stands a chance in the DeathWatch mine.
