Some new player tutorial feedback:

Willthe helper R2 droids that new players eventually time out and/or auto-destroy themselves if a new user never uses it? I just started another TC character to try the tutorial, and I obviously already know how to play the game. So, except for testing the mission, I wouldn't realistically ever use it and would just keep it in my datapad forever because it's cool.

Are new players no longer allowed to choose their starting planet? My new character loaded into Coronet, Corellia. Seems like that area is already lag city on most galaxies.

I also noticed that the tutorial no longer advises the new player to migrate stats before traveling to the starting planet... the main advantage being able to instantly migrate instead of migrating over time. I didn't try to migratemy stats before loading into a planet... I expected to see the planet selection screen and then back out of it to migrate my stats.

  1. No focus threads for the specific items added to this Publish (i.e. new Droid Modules, GCW fixes, etc.) Those are useful for getting specific feedback so it surprises me that none were created this time.

  2. Daily bug thread anyone?

  3. Last night at approximately 1am CST I was scanned by an Imperial Patrol outside the Starport in Theed. They found me out as a Rebel and turned me Overt. I managed to escape and then continued on my way to Coronet. When I got to Coronet I went to the Cantina and switched to Covert. Got the standard message about it taking an hour but it was late so I decided to log off. I logged back on this afternoon and figured I had an hour left, so I started running missions asI normally do. Now, three hours later I'm still not Covert. I think it may have something to do with the server downtime but even still it seems as if the Counter didn't restart when I logged back in this afternoon. I haven't tried talking to the recruiter again.

  4. That dang newbie droid showed up again after I've deleted it about half a dozen times now. It always comes back after my character is completely out of the world and I log back in. And at this point I can't even use it, since the profession I got it for is one I no longer have.

Continuation:

I have noticed that when I go LD, it goes back to the character load screen, bt when I select to connect using any of my characters, it wont. I have to Esc back out to Windows and start the log in all over again.

I have 4 computers and they have differen configurations and it does it on all of them

Just to add. I have been gaming since June on Eclipse and Grath with 4 accounts and have never had problems with going LD. I have had hunting partners have this problem over the months that I have played but never myself. I always do Full scan when logging in. I have DSL with 2.8 connection and it only takes a short time ot do it, so i dont mind.

Logged in my newbie entertainer and tried the droid again this morning. The droid greeted me but gave me no additional info on entertainer missions or the problem with completing it's ID task for reward that I mentioned above.

Decided to go train scout. Immediately got a message that scout missions had been added and the droid started talking about it, while I still had the NPC conversation up. I told the droid to "tell me later", it told me how to access the mission from the radial menu, Ichose "thank you", and finished my conversation with the npc. When I then tried to access the scout quests from the droid radial menu, it only listed "entertainer" under profession(and thatoption remains unresponsive).

This may have been a fluke, but I /bugged it as well.

While running artisan crafting missions in Anchorhead this morning, I had one of my missions not show up in my crafting tool. I normally grab 2, and hit whatever is closest. Well, I managed to complete one, and started the second, but the missions tab didn't show in the crafting tool. I looked under every catagory, but no missions style items were listed ( they used to be under general, before mission tabs came out). Nada. I ran at least 30 of them last night without a hitch. I did 6 this morning, and that was the only one to do this. Of the ones I ran in coronet last night, about half had mission giver or receiver appear in walls ( also bugged it, longstanding bug).
