Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 4-26-04)

- If you are a Jedi with 2 slots, you will keep them and still be a Jedi in the new system.
- If you are not a Jedi, and have mastered X number of professions then some level of advancement through the system will be included based on how many professions you completed.
And now could you clarify that in the new system everyone will be on an equal footing with two character slots per server. The original post on this matter suggested so, but the trickle of poorly drafted posts on the matter since then have clouded the issue.
Make the accounts of people with Jedi now worth more than the accounts of people who attain Force Sensitivity under the new system would be an even graver blunder than the original unlock system ever was.
Space Expansion beta isn't just going to be for the people who have the money to attend/mindset to attend conventions/insane enough to willingly go to California, right? The rest of us will have an opportunity, right?
I would like, as well, some comment on last Friday's "advanced BE guide" and the concerns that many of the BEs in the forum community have about it. Was this really some gigantic misunderstanding where we never realized that you intended from the outset for it to really be a primer for new and aspiring BEs, rather than the actual "advanced" guide we'd been expecting? If so, why wasn't it called "primer for new & aspiring BEs"? If not, and you intended it to be advanced, what made you think we hadn't already read and absorbed Mirrl's guide, and that all the questions we've been asking you through our correspondent weren't things we wanted to know because Mirrl's guide didn't answer them? Why wasn't it even proofread for mechanical errors, much less checked over by a programmer to see if the gameplay mechanics were described accurately?
You have a challenging job, undoubtedly, and I am generally one to say, "wait, it's harder for the devs to do that than you think" to critical posters, but I have to say that this effort just smacks of sloppiness, either in not telling us who and what the guide was really intended for or in not addressing at all the questions that you should have known (through our correspondent)we really wanted answered.
I just would like to know if anyone seen the BE forum, and is going to apologize for that friday feature of cut and paste? Where is our help to adjust CL's? 14+ pages and not one thing that wasnt known under the FAQ by players.
Weaponsmith bandolier is on equipable when no backpack IS equiped.
This is a major problem because most WS have no where they can put down their backpack due to storage issues that have been discussed may times.
Not to mention the fact that WS need their backpacks to store the current crafting items in
Please make the bandolier so it can be equiped along with a backpack, its the least you can do since its almost impossible to get enough skill tapes due to outrageous prices and the fact that the skill tapes are still not stackable on a single item.
TH,
Is there an explanation as to why Armorsmiths did not get a "crafting apron"? I know there are one or two others like BE also that did not get one. Why is this? Please don't say "its because you have RIS" or something like that.
I have been patient enough but I guess I or Bounty Hunters for that matter will never get an answer about the Jedi missions. This service is absolutely horrible. Not only are you not fixing the problems with the Jedi missions, you guys won't even address it.
Just how long do you incompetent developers plan on ignoring the issues regarding the Jedi missions?
Something really has to be done about creatures, I am not speaking as a MCH here wanting uber pets. I am speaking as someone who is bored with PvE.
Things that I should not be able to do that I can (even without pets or buffs)
Solo rancors of all types
I will remind everyone that in ROTJ the rancor Luke killed was a YOUNG rancor. not fully grown, and certantly not a ancient bull rancor.
Solo Krayts
Yep it was only a juvinal and I didn't use any structure exploits just stragety.
Solo a Mob of GSP's
these are supposed to be pack hunters and fierce and deadly not killable in like 5 shots.
Also Faction bases
Useless nice faction farms for the opposeing faction my suggestions for imporveing them are here

Essentially TH after playing since June, I am getting really bored with this game. I understand things take time, but when you scrap a plan after already implimenting part of it you need to unimpliment what was. Give me something to be excited over today not 6 months from now
I hope this is a good place to put this so it gets out there.
Since the AI patch to remove harvester farming of creatures (getting them stuck on buildings) We, (me and my friends) have had a really big problem with npc mobs running in our houses and jumping us in our living rooms. Is this intentional? Is there away to ban NPC's? Will this be fixed? We have crafter only characters that get incapped in the middle of there house, because they cannot defend themselves from tuskens who decide to raid our house. BTW there is no way to escape to another room, because they just walk through the walls.
Thanks
