Talked to 2 junk dealers in Bestine - 1st one didn't have the kit, 2nd one did. Didn't know that all junk dealers don't give them out. Only found out later on the forums what was going on.
Been taking out all of the water bugs, and spice fiends that I can find trying to find some of the components but haven't gotten anywhere. Got about 10 rebel/imp disks, but nothing related to any of the loot kits.
For as rare as the drops are turning out to be, I would think that the time and effort into putting a loot kit together would be worth more than 1000 credits with the junk dealer. A completed item like this could easily go for 100k when sold to another player. Maybe make them more in the range of 10k to 25k when bought by junk dealer. There's a lot of speederbike wear, buffs, etc going into putting these things together. Just think the reward should better fit the effort being put into it.

I think this is excellent addition to the game and hope to see more items added, at least something other than furniture. Something like a nice peice ofunique clothing would be neat. So far I have been able to see that this loot can drop off of just about any NPC and it is not limited to high level NPC's. That means there is no loot camping to get this stuff. I do hope that all 10 peices drop at the same rate.

Great idea!
I did not have any problems getting the kit.
After having set out on a quest to obtain the items, I killed well over 320+ NPC's
All the NPC's around towns as well as Imperial Troopers from Rebel missions.

Nothing. Not a single drop that could be used in the kit. I would say that the drop rate
is not where it should be.

Seems a lot of people want to get their things found and made in one day.
I have 2 parts of the glass table so the loot drop is about right, keep it nice and slow so it takes a while gathering these parts other wise there will be hundreds of the things around and vendors selling them by the bucket load.

You have got this one dead right, hats off to you Devs.

lol the funniest thing is the people complaining at the price selling back to the junk dealer, try selling them to other players, not all are combat, not all can be bothered to get of their backsides and do this kind of things in game (usually the ones who say there's no content)

Got a kit from the Junk Dealer in Naboo behind the Cantina. Wonderful idea BTW I think junk dealers are useful in this game now. The only thing is that I fell the drop rate needs to go up a bit. 2 Days of killin' NPC's and not a single drop. If it takes to long to assemble one item people will not spend thier time on it. Lookin' good tho .

Not the case at all. The problem is that you require 10 of 50 items, the drop rate is low and the odds that you'll recieve a duplicate itemare pretty good. It's not about putting the item togeather in a day, but simply having the item completed before the space expansion comes out on the live servers. It took 5 weeks to put the table togeather on Test Center, and no ones finished a rug or other item over there that I'm aware of.
As for the return on investment (Aka getting 1k creds for turning the item over to the junk dealer)...What we are saying is simply that with the current drop rate that the junk dealers aren't paying enough. Because the drop rate is so low you couldeasily sell each of the 10 parts for 6k a peice on the bizzar and most likely you'll get more than that. It doesn't take a mathmatician to figure out the formula 6000 * 10 = 60,000. Thats just on the parts. Now because the parts are so highly priced the completed item will probably sell for 80,000 or more to someone who wants a unique decoration. So the junk dealers paying 1k for something that's so rare isn't logical. If the loot kit items dropped as often as disks then 1k would be a satisfactory reward. As the drop rate stands now it is not.

Found loot kit easily.
Completed a kit? You MUST be kidding! I killed NPCs for several hours last night and found no parts. I hunted mobs that were said to be dropping parts. Some people said they found parts in 10 minutes, others in several hours. I realize you want these items to be semi rare, but at this rate, mediocre combat types and crafter types like me will NEVER be able to complete a single item! Please increase the item spawns.

Great idea in theory, horrendous drop rate will drive most people away from it tho.
First day of publish: 15 hours camping meatlumps: 4 components
Second day of publish: 10 hours of camping meatlumps: 1 compenents
Third day of publish: 9 hours of camping meatlumps: 2 compenents
I'm about ready to give up on it, and I'm just about the most die hard loot collector I know. (Should have seen me scrambling to be the first on my server to get all the Annivarsary paintings.

we went to the Corvette last night and got loot components off the first npc there....dunno..but maybe high end mobs drop the stuff with a higher % rate than meatlumps?
