Thread: Jedi Revamp Phase I
Just send an email asking for question #1 doubtful you'll get the rest.

More emails being sent......
I have sent email demanding we get answers to the following:
- Should Jedi continue to level, or should they put their Jedi on hold if progress is being wiped (this is huge)
- Will the new FS unlocking system be very difficult and time consuming, on par with the time it takes to master 15-30 professions like people have had to do now
- Will skill loss be changing, especially in regards to Knight and beyond since Jedi will have to PvP to advance? This is also going to be important as the current bounty hunter missions based on Jedi visibility will be a legacy issue. Visibility does not have much place in the new system that I can tell.
- Will there be translation of advancement to the new system that corresponds with current progress, or will it be based more on more generic “large block” achievements i.e:
- Current Jedi will start in the new system as Force sensitive
- Current Jedi Guardians will start in the new system as Jedi Knights
- Or current experience gained will be translated ratio wise into the new system?
5. Just to double check, you will still have to complete the FS quests to unlock the second slot, all players will not have a second character by default?
Pulled from the Jedi Forums, originally posted by Arjun, the Jedi correspondent, stickied at the top.
I think it would make more sense for our second character to be the Force Sensitive one (if only 1 character is to be capable of FS) the reasons:
1) We would be required to surrender skills on our current Characters to become full fledged JEDI
2) Some People do not want their Jedi to have current Name/ Race as their main one is...
How does this affect current Jedi?
If this means that every person will have 2 slots to do what they want with on each server, I like that idea.
My interpretation of the two slot comment:
When the force sensitivity pops up you are given the option of:
1. Your main character becoming the Jedi. This is now your FSCS.
2. Developing a new character to be a Jedi. The new character occupies the FSCS slot.
So as not to repeat what others have said, here are 2 very relevant posts in the Jedi forum:

Those threads are quite comprehensive as to what we don't understand and what many people think. Thank you.
Ok, here's my take on this:
- we all get another character to do whatever we want (per server or per account is not clear)
- everyone will be able totrain injedi "initiate" just like any other profession
- if you want to continue to jedi "knight" you can by completing quests
- if you want to continue to jedi "master" you can by getting involved with PvP (this could be to limit the number of masters running around)
Maybe?
1. What will happen to existing jedi? We worked very hard for our slots, and that should be honored. Any system that does not reward us for the mind-numbing method of leveling that we're currently subjected to is a complete failure.
2. How does it fit continuity that light jedi rise from Knight to Master by killing dark jedi? From what I remember, the emperor wanted Luke to kill Vader to complete his journey to the DARK SIDE. The PvP system does not fit with what we know about light jedi.
3. What are you going to do about the many problems with the jedi profession that currently exists? Lack of defenses? Reliance on crystals and pearls? Outrageous prices of pearls? Broken skills? Force regeneration at a snail's pace?
Basically, your poor communication on this issue has destroyed my confidence that this revamp will be successful. The jedi acquisition and playing process was kept from the community during beta, and relied on the designs and testing of the SWG dev team. It resulted in the most broken and unsatisfying experience in this entire game, and a destruction of the player community because of the holocron craze. It seems like the team is again determined to make decisions by themselves and to rely on internal testing to fix things. I have no faith that this will work.
