I hope everyone had a great weekend

Sorry, no can do. I can't answer Jedi questions. I do read the posts and the Correspondent feedback though and pass the info along.

1. Last week's DE issues are still front and center

2. The changes to Jedi system are totally vague as announced so far ... still no clarification on absolutely, yes or no, whether it affects unlocking the FSCS.

3. The whole contraband/faction penalty/item confiscation firestorm brewing on TC needs to be an In Test / In Development thread for discussion by the entire community.

Comment on crafting - I assume this was done on test center. I would suggest also doing this on live servers on planets such as Lok and Dantooine. I have had friends report that they fail a lot more when there's lag. I don't really know myself since I recently only have been crafting on Lok but it's worth looking into I presume.

B) What is up with the Imperial crackdown on test? People are upset thats its extremely weak(hardly a crackdown), and in fact, with teh contraband scanning, its more of a crackdown on Imperials.

We're tweaking it out. Thats an old comment actually - - most people yesterday we're getting harassed.

C) We should discuss more the punishments for being found with contraband on both rebel and imperial sides

We're all looking at that info now. It will be more than it is, but less than what some harsh players want. Its tough to find a balan

__________________________________________________________

The comment on it being more of a crackdown on imperials is most likely related to the punishment not the frequency of scans. From reading on TC it appears that imperial players are losing ALL rank (busted to private) and FP is dropping to 200 points whereas rebels are just getting TEF's and attacked. Getting to colonel can take MONTHS, whereas a rebel recovering from attacking takes minutes.......Pretty off balanced.

Morning TH...

I think one of the major points to bring up is.. Contraband!

As a jedi andwith another characterwho uses lots of sliced armor and spices, is there any way we can get some clarification on what is or is not contraband.

I assume that Spices and all sliced items are illegal.. as they should be. However what else is?

Im not telling - - thats part of the fun of the game.

I don't buy this for a second. When new enforcement laws are put into play, the items being enforced against are always listed in the law. This is so the Enforcers (in this case, Stormtroopers), don't make any mistakes and say... oh, I don't know... find contraband that isn't actually contraband on a powerful Imperial Noble. The Emporer is still a Politician, after all. He does need to keep the Nobility happy because they help fund stuff like the Imperial Crackdown (i.e. most of the taxes come from them).

Since you brought up critical fails, I thought I'd suggest something I brought up a long time ago.

Instead of making critical fails just eat resources, why not have them give you MORE XP than you'd usually get?

I don't know about you, but in real life I'll often learn a lot more from screwing something up than doing it right.

Keep in mind that I am not an artisan, but I know a lot of crafters would support this -- it would certainly take the sting out of a critical fail on a PA hall or some other item that consumes a ton of resources.

Can we please have some dialogue on the chef nerf that is currently on the TC - we would love to get the same treatment that has been awarded CHs, DEs etc over their revamps.

We are losing our decent stat buff items under the guise of "they will be great under the new HAM system", yet the new HAM system wont be in for months, and I dont see Spice, Doc, Dancer & musician buffs being nerfed this patch.

Please come and read what the chefs think, I know SirVimes will be pretty vocal onthe correspondant forums, but I think we deserve an official response.

You're kidding, right? We don't get to know what Items in the game are illegal until the cops search us? That's kinda crazy TH. I mean, I know that if I smoke crack, it's illegal and the local stormtroopers are going to bust me! I know it's illegal to carry fully automatic weapons. I know it's illegal to carry a flamethrower, rocket launcher, grenades or any other military hardware. I know it's illegal to walk down the street with an aligator. But I know all of that because I grew up in a society where that stuff is illegal. Our characters should know what Items are illegal because they have grown up in that society. Never mind, I'll just stop going to cities until someone publishes a list.
