Morning TH...

I think one of the major points to bring up is.. Contraband!

As a jedi andwith another characterwho uses lots of sliced armor and spices, is there any way we can get some clarification on what is or is not contraband.

I assume that Spices and all sliced items are illegal.. as they should be. However what else is?

Im not telling - - thats part of the fun of the game.

So you're saying it's part of the fun of this game to lose 100k worth of equipment (armor, weapons, resources) if neutral without even knowing about it?

If this is the new directions the devs are going ... then give us back /citywarn ... and while at it, let us lot players ourselves.

I'm sorry, but this seems to be a major money/item sink that is being tried to implement. If this "fun" is really going live the way I'm reading about it on the test boards CSRs won't survive the first week of the patch due to critical overload of screaming ... I assure you this (same way we assured you city caps would be hit minutes after patch)

Sorry TH, just saw the post on teh TC forum.

Can I change that request to : can you please pop into the Chimaera forums, and answer the players there about the servers total and utter failure to cope with largescale player events - we killed the server several times lastnight, people couldnt login after, and we had >10min lag on all actions and spatial chat

Thunderheart,

Some issues the bounty hunter community is really upset about. You guys are revamping Jedi so no permdeath and such which the way should have been in first place and skill tree lost. The problem I see is the Bounty Hunter Community has asked for our droids to be fixed since the Jedi have begun to show up on our terminals. We have also screamed to have that fixed too or explained to us how Jedi missions work on our terminals. The developers have been very silent until the last week when we were told that the publish for our droids in patch 17. Well this is patch 16 that is on test center now. Why do we have to wait until another 1.5 months for our droids to work. Why would the development staff even introduce a non working system into the game? Alot of dedicated bounty hunters have decided to leave SWG because of the development staff never really addressing our issues and we always get the shaft in the end! PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY WE MUST ALWAYS GET THE SHAFT AND WAIT ON OUR EASY FIXES?

BTW it was the developers that brought this upon themselfs why we are screaming to fix Jedi missions and Droids to track them. If they would have never introduced this buggy system in the first place we would not be screaming about it. Also one other question is this a tactic to keep us playing so get more money out of us? We have started to catch on and well I feel this way I will come back in three months and see what has been repaired. I will play for a month and cancel and then return another 3 months until the developers get this right! I feel if 8 months they can not do it then this game is lost.

Take care

Earl

we just need a 6 month time table on the jedi ideas,... should i stop my 2 month very slow grind of rifle? or what? I am now confused like many others. People only **edit** when they are really confused and have no idea what to do to get to their objective.

It sounds like this Imperial Crackdown is going to be the death of the casual player. These players in general have to work harder due to limited playing time to afford the nicer items in the game such as sliced weapons and armor and having them taken away is just going rub many the wrong way.

This whole contrband concept is nothing more than Dev griefing as the potential punishment is too high for many players. Yes there are many millionaires on the servers but there are alot more that are not and this kind of stuff will drive people away, all that time wasted for nothing.

Some will see the Imperial Crackdown as a fun thing but for many it will be nothing but pure frustration and lead to very angry players.

Ok I will try putting my question in here as no one has been able to supply me with an answer.

Me and my small guild decided after seeing 40 imp bases pop up to make a small strike team dedicated to taking imperial bases that were not appreciated and never guarded. We have successfully done 14 in 2 weeks. The problem is that number would have been closer to 40 if the terminal/base times were working properly. We have had comment like Its not a big issue, nothing we can do about it, I don't know when of if it will be fixed. Could you please give me some info on weather this is being fixed, and weather you guys are considering this a problem. Cause if it is not being fixed or looked at seriously then we will go back to holo grinding and looting, wasting 2 hours getting preped for a base that does not spawn terminals just is not fun.

1) Any plans to introduce animal farms, run using credits and food (power comes from, well, you probably know... )?

2) Could Binary Load Lifters be used in some way to create automatic emptying of harvestors, and that the resources get auto-stored in a new "Storage Hut" type structure. Would it also be viable to have a new "power relay" type structure that could be placed and used to automatically supply a harvestor with power?

3) On a more relevant note, I recently put 22000 units of power on a minor extractor by mistake. To make use of it I now have to run the Machine for 30 days. There is no way to retrieve the power, so could one be implimented?

4) What's your reaction to a Spice Baron profession, moving spice out of Smuggler and into this profession, along with relevant buildings, vendors for spice sale and thugs for hire to protect the Spice Labs? Smuggler's would instead get the ability to transport spice on behalf of player Spice Barons (I put more details on this in theIn Concept forum).

5) Medical Forage, at master Medic, retrieves a single unit of any type of flora. Discarding what is of no use (poor quality) it seems an entirely unviable means of gathering resources for Medic Crafting, for any reason.

6) Any chance that a high ranking officer could be added to the Emperor's Retreat so that Imperial players can declare overt there?

I think that's it

Sal.

In the "Imperial Crackdown" I sure hope Rank in the Imperial Army and being a Smuggler are all factors in this contraban scanning.

1) as a Highly decoratedImperial Colonel if I get stopped, searched and busted by some TK421 Stormtrooper I'm going to be highly pissed.

2) As a Master Smuggler aswell I should have additional Mods to prevent this detection more than the other player character professions.

3) So as a Highly Decorated Imperial Colonel and a Master Smuggler I should not have to worry about these pitiful little Stormtroopers. Right.

TH,

So far the ability to 'unlock' the jedi feature of the game has gone over fairly well. There are those who think anything is worth it and those that get sick of trying and still some who just don't even bother.

My question to you and the rest of the Dev team is this: Has there been any thought to putting more 'unlockable' content to the game? such as Race, Professions, Player Droids... ect. or is Jedi the going to be the only thing to unlock in the game?

Also, i don't read all the boards (hey just not enough time to read, play, and work right?) but i was qurious as to if Armorsmiths will ever be able to craft factional armor. 15% resistances is silly, giving armorsmiths the ability to make the armor would be much more effective in terms of the GCW. I'm sure this has been requested just i didn't know the response...

Thanks.

Going to press my luck on a few more Jedi questions, hopefully maybe you can answer one.

A) Will the existing path to Jedi no longer fuction with the quest system in place or will we have the option to do either?

B) Can we expect in the future to see another vast change in the system to become a Jedi?

C) What will become of current holocrons? If the system changes for opening the slot, holocrons giving messages to master specific professions will also change I assume...will holocrons simply be revamped/changed to help in the quest instead or should I use them as door stops?

You get a cookie. I did it too so I better get one too.

I mean really what are they supposed to give? Those who got Jedi got Jedi, those who didn't didn't. Thems the breaks. I stopped after the silent Holo and had mastered all the basic professions and still hadn't unlocked it. Then I just went and did the professions I wanted to do. If it happened it happened (it didn't). But what are they going to give me compared to the ones who have mastered 20+ professions after thier silent Holo and still didn't unlock? No matter what they decide to give will not be fair to all. So why bother. Just chalk it up to a bad decision and move on.

Hopefully they will now put in a system for unlocking the FSCS that is both complex and quest based that will be worthy of the opening of the FSCS not just mindless grinding of professions.
