But ive been reading over the boards trying to pick up helpful tips, then I got to this one and thought id browse through it.

Yeah, you kiddies run around these forums shouting, ranting, threatening, and insulting the devs at every chance you get and YOU WONDER WHY THEY DONT DO ANYTHING!

Whoever it was that said that ^^ is bang on! The level of criticism and abuse targetted at the devs is a disgrace! Many of the posts Ive read on this topic are well thought out arguments put across in the right way, yet many are alsoimmature commentsthat quite frankly wont get you anywhere!Bottom line.......Yes their responsible for making sure the game runs smoothly and bugs are ironed out etc etc, but your not helping their motivation by constantly slagging them off! I must add that if so many of you are so obviously disgruntled with the game and feel nothing is being done to improve it THEN LEAVE its really that simple. I find it astonishing that so many people slag the devs off yet continue to play for their $15 a month!

I have to say personally I think the games a great achievement and ive enjoyed every minute

Thank you and I'm glad that someone with a single brain cell left can see what I was saying. But, alas, the kids get all huffy when you call them "kids".

Oh well.

I was so so impressed with DarthTaulon's post, I just had to see what constructive comments he had to say in his other posts. Here is a small sample of the great posts this guy has added to make this forumn great.

He is an absolute MORON kiddie.

I shrug it off like I do to all the mouthy kids in games who think they need a little attention because mommy and daddy ignore them at home.

I think Jedi running around in composite armor is the most retarded looking thing I have ever seen.

The devs should be slapped in the face for coming up with this insane holocron profession grinding system for unlocking jedi.

If its so tuff to be a jedi like all the kiddies claim then why cant we all get a shot at it?

Man, what a better way to kill continuity than seeing kids with retarded names.

A couple hints: Proper period use and caps lock. Since you work full time, maybe you should take some night courses on sentence structure and keyboard use?

I am not a shrink, but you can easily see some issues here. 1) You must have some issue with kids, or your parents, or your age, or something, cuz you keep talking bad about these "kiddies". 2) You seem to have some issue with mentally handicapped people, I'm sure they do not appreciate your insults 3) You seem to have a lot of issues with the way devs handled jedi, and probably that you can't achieve it.

You were that mad that you went around and read my old posts? It must be teenage angst at its finest.

Yeah, you kiddies run around these forums shouting, ranting, threatening, and insulting the devs at every chance you get and YOU WONDER WHY THEY DONT DO ANYTHING!

I think 1 out of 50 posts is actually a well thought constructive comment/suggestion that a dev would actually want to see (even ones made by young adults, imagine that!), but the rest are the same ol' "Gimme my way or I'm leaving and your pay check will suffer HAR HAR!".

Do you honestly think that you kiddie ranters leaving will hurt their paycheck? Do you honestly think your rants will cause a major uprising and END THIS GAME with a mass exodus? Do you think your pathetic threats even matter if so wouldn't all these things be fixed already?

Get real.

You are naive yourself, and obviously haven't really paid attention to high-dollar MMORPGS that haven't amounted to much because of things like this. There are several magazines and websites that have nominated this game as the most disappointing game of the year. It's people like you who sit around and don't voice their opinions and believe nothing they say will make a difference.

You believe everything you read? INCLUDING websites? Wow, just knowing that about you I will forego reading the rest of your post.

Has anyone considdered that the devs might just be making the game more monotonous to cover up the fact that there is so little actual content? If I spend an entire day trying to obtain, repair or get funds to pay for my armor then I'm not going to pay as much attention to the fact there's nothing to do in this game. For example, Nightsister missions completed, now real story, no new game content, no substantial reward, nothing new or exciting to see. But oh wait, I died a bunch of times so now I have to spend an entire other day obtaining another set of composite armor. Another day another dollar.

Ok back to the POINT, G please explain to us, the customers, why this is the way you want it. Here are my points.

1) Armor already gets destroyed very quickly, I have seen over 5k cond be lost on a 18k max condition jacket in 1 day, and this is without death decay.

2) Say you spend a day doing PvP, over that day, you will probably die a good 10-20 times. By your system you are expecting us to be ok with 10-20% of our armor being destroyed, and that doesn't count normal wear and tear.

3) Armor repair is very poor. I have spent many days trying to find a master armorsmith to repair my armor, and even if I do find one willing to repair it, there success rate is very poor.

4) Armor attatchments cost millions of credits. Would you really expect us to put armor attatchments on armor that will last only a week?

I know you are trying to do what you think is best for this game, but we spend a lot of time playing it. As we all know things don't work the way they do on paper. I think maybe .1% decay would be ok, but putting in this decay really makes it so people don't want to play this game to the best of there ability. G please just come here and tell us why, not just that its how you want it.

Stop acting like babies and stop with the name calling.

The point is the dev's promised us something, in writing, and then went back on it. This is not some minor detail like "changing the look fo your speeder" but it's something that alot of people wanted and it's something that the game needed.

I've been talking to alot of people in game and I heard the same thing from all of them. They all go something like my thoughts....

"I was so looking forward to being part of the galactic war but now with these new changes I'm not going to bother. There are no rewards to pvping, only harsh penalties. Ok so 1% decay doesn't sound like alot but add that with the normal decay on armor and you'll be buying new armor every week. Also it's not like armor is cheap or anything. Most armor smiths don't want to be bothered and make more than enough money than they'll ever need. I don't have the resources to buy new armor every week. With this new faction point system as a casual player, it is very unappealing. I only play an hour or so everyday, so gaining faction points just to pvp is a time sink which I can not affort. As you can see there are no positive aspects in pvping, so why bother."

The galactic war was dead before it started.

The completly "player run economy" has turned into the Dev run economy. Things like decay and item durability should have been worked out in beta. Instead they're being worked out with our real world time, dollars and grief.

I still say remove the 1% item decay on insured items. I understand why you have it, but people have left this game over it. At the very least remove it from items like weapons and armor which decay naturally anyway.

I understand the reason is to keep new items circulating in the economy, but as it is we can store items in a house or bank to avoid decay on them. Why not just limit the decay to equipped items.

Insurance is way too expensive and death is still far too common. If you are going to keep item decay, why not make it so that NPCs and creatures deathblow far less then they do.

To me it is enough of a penalty to be sent all the way back to the clone center after you die. You don't know how fustrating it is to have to make it back to where you were.
