The one thing i find wrong with it and every dungeon is that they should be tailored to your skill or your groups skills. Got a group of 10, spawn a mob of 15 whatever with high HAMs, got one person, spawn 3 or 4 whatevers with slightly lower HAMs (but still a challenge), if you're a TKA/whatevermakeem like rancors for example, if you're a Tailor with next to no fighting skills, make them like mound mites, basically make it a challenge to you.To me making a dungeon that someone can't go in on their own, because the creatures/npc's are stupidly strongis just plain wrong, not everyone wants to group all the time in order to partake in things. Sometimes people like to do things themselves and sometimes they like to group.

Loved it.

Just completed it.

I think those guys failing it are probably used to their Zerg guild techniques.

I loved the event ! I went there with a reasonably well equipped group from my PA (couple of commando's, a swordsman, 2 docs/tk's, a rifleman CH, etc), one of the group suffered from a problem where he could only see furniture and no walls - but aside from that it was a fantastic romp. We didn't finish it though, bit off more than we could chew and lost buffs so had to call it a day but still had a great time and we're deffinately going back their at the weekend to have another crack at it !

My only complaints would be that pets ruin it, one of the group (the CH) had a big assed bantha swinging it's booty all over the place and especially as a melee fighter I found it really really annoying, the respawning dudes was also really annoying - as it's an instanced dungeon and we're on a timer we aren't gonna be camping and it would have been nice to have a safe area to fall back to rest for a few.

All in all though I loved this adventure, and the "instanced" style of dungeons is fantastic so that now Jedi can get involved in the action with the peace of mind that some hotshot won't pull up next to them and try and toast then

You guys are all approaching this the wrong way.

What are the three mission types for the Corvette -- Assassination, Rescue, and Demolition. I don't see "kill everyone on the ship" in there.

Think of yourselves as Special Forces. Go in, finish your mission, and get out, killing only things that get in your way. Limit your Area of Effect attacks so you don't draw enemy reinforcements. Bring Master Docs (more than 1) for Rezzes so you don't lose your buffs. Use KD+Dizzy judiciously.

I thought it was just me, but in fact KD+Dizzy doesn't work well up there.

Far to hard. Entire professions are being told to stay behind, and being laughed at by other players. If your profession doesnt have the right resists no body wants you to go up with them. Your just wasting group space. You can res, which is good, but you cant buff, what good is being able to res if you can buff and everything shoots for over 1000 damage and many up to 4000 damage. And thats in composite armor!! its a huge ship, shouldnt it have a med lab? a sick bay?

Yes we needed something harder, but your "joe average" player has ZERO chance of completing this task, and if your a class that doesnt have the right resists, well you might as well sit on the sidelines cuz you wont be of any use of there even if you can get a group to waste a available player spot on you.

contrary to popluar belief not all of us are commandos, swordsman, bounty hunters or combat medics. some of us dont follow the "template of the week" and choose what is fun for us.

Said earlier, but couldn't be truer. The developers live on a small Island called "never-land". Time they came back to Planet Earth and gave us "normal, casual" players something fun to do.

Worthless.

It did not deserve a mention on the website, much less any mention at all on the loading screens.

This is a 'dungeon' for the 1 percent of uber players with 2 to 3 million to waste on decayed uber armor, decayed sliced uber weapons, and ten hours prep time.

This is not a dungeon that can be done by anyone other than those uber players. I've been able to contribute in a group to running the Geno Caves, Krayt hunts, and other high level adventuring. Sure, I didn't do much, but I had a lot of fun. I could come along and contribute. I could shout witty sayings and then get killed. All fun.

Corvette? Forget it.

You should label it "ONLY FOR 4444 JEDI AND DOUBLE ELITE COMBAT CLASSES WITH DISPOSABLE 1.5 MILLION CREDIT ARMOR", not "Hey, a fun dungeon".

This is not a quest that even should be in the game. When there is NO way that anyone can solo it (it was advertised as soloable) and there is NO way that a single Master Rifleman can contribute, you should post big warnings saying such.

Putting this much effort into content that only 1 to 2 percent of the subscribers can even hope to survive grouped with 9 other double elite combat masters is friggin stupid.

Since this is instanced, why don't you adjust HAM on group size/skill/classes?

In closing, I would suggest putting a big announcement on your main page saying DO NOT SOLO THIS! DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE 9 DOUBLE ELITE COMBAT MASTERS FOR FRIENDS! IGNORE THIS DUNGEON IF YOU ARE NOT AN OBSESSIVE PLAYER WITH MILLIONS OF CREDITS WORTH OF ITEMS YOU LOVE HAVING DESTROYED!

Hey, how about a dungeon that, oh, say, someone can have fun in? Someone besides exploiting triple-sliced weapon weilders and/or double elites?

Yeah I went last night and had a blast! Yeah everyone died and lots of people lost their armor and stuff, but when i looked at the map to get a better idea of where people were it seems that no more than two people were together at one time. Everyone was running around, and nobody was working on a plan or thought we needed one I guess. I am a master smuggler so of course my buffs lasted for the first 30 min (because I can feign death) but I spent most of that time looking for the other players. Finally at the end of our time most of us were able to meet at the armory and try to rush the guards.

I can see this being beat, and I know people already have. It's going to take a good team with the ability to listen, not doarea shots, and to be patient. This next time I go I am going to make sure to mention what not to do, and maybe we will make it to the end...maybe.

Way, way, way too hard. Dark Troopers with more HAM than Krayts? I was in a group of several master elite combat profs (although I am a 0-1-3-1- rifleman) and they were done in less than two minutes into the ship. Please tone this down so us mere mortals can actually have a chance to get through it and acquire that cool new speeder schematic.

The Corvette's fun. Haven't made much headway in it, but it's new and interesting. The overall mob level could do with being lowered, with the time to complete lowered to compensate.

Personally I hope for the next dungeon you'll consider this:

If you have defined sections, it enables you to create one place where all player styles can go. For example, a temple where the first floor consists of 10k ham mobs with fairly average resists that soloers can chew through, with a few heavier ham mobs near the end of the level. This level has it's own mini-quest that awards something nice to whoever completes it. Then you progress to the next level where things rapidly go into group territory (the place is still running an overall time limit, so the group is essential for kill rate as much as anything. Again the level/area has a mini-quest with a reward. Then things step up again and you're into large group territory. One moremini-quest and you move into the final stage of elite/fully buffed/full composite groups who complete the overall goal and get the major rewards.

If the Corvette had been approached in this fashion you would have had an overall satisifed player base, instead of the 33/33/33 (a third hate it, a third love it, a third think it's too hard, but lots of fun). I could go up there again and again on my own, and steadily learn the full area that I can fight in (todays trip ended when I opened a door into a room with 2 66k ham mobs and 1 16k ham mob), but I'll never get anything for it, except some faction points and some money. Which is a shame.

I fully appreciate that the completion of this dungeon was aimed at Elite Masters. But as I say, there could have been segments that were doable by smaller groups and soloers for smaller rewards.

Just to add some direct feedback:

1) When I died I was turned declared (it made some sense, since they now knew I was there). However, when I died again up there I got turned covert, which was a bit odd.

2) The inability to heal wounds after cloning was not good. But admittedly once you've died, without the ability to rebuff, the trips over.

3) First death I lost no insurance and my uninsured newly sliced leggings didn't decay. Second time I died, I still remained insured, but the leggings now decayed as normal.

4) Luck was with me today and the prisoner transfer orders for Colonel Darkstones mission were at the first place I went. But this excessive planet hopping gets wearing. Remove the random nature of the location and make it at all three. Then add a second and third stage, that matches the difficulty of the initial location to search and give out a simple reward for completing (more special components like those that came with the new Emperor's Retreat, perhaps?).

The corvetteis geared towards combat oriented players. A master dancer/master pistoleer is going to have a much more difficult time in there than a full blown combat character that has devoted almost all their skillpoints into combat.Just as that fully focused combat character would have a pretty difficult time healing other people's mind wounds in a cantina.I can understand the viewpoint that the content in this game need to appeal to everyone, but honestly, take a look at the forums over the pas 3 months. We've been living it on easy street. Muon, buffs, composit armor, dancer buffs, sliced weapons...... Has there been anything in this game that has truly MADE us have to form some strategies and tactics?

I think now with the increased difficulty of the corvette that it is simply a shock the system. People aren't use to it. But it will pass. Not everyone that has fun in the corvette has 90% resist armor and krayted, sliced, power uped weapons. That's a simple generalization.

To be blunt, I got beat down in the corvette, but guess what? It was fun. I now have something to work towards with my guild. Imigine they made it as simple as the geonosian caves? Everyone would be complaining that it was too easy and they could solo it.

Obviously there are some bugs that need to be ironed out.Let's face it, a player is going to die in the corvette. Omitting the insurance terminalseems to be an easily correctedproblem. It doesn't bother me thata player can't rebuff while in the corvette, since it would jsut be too easy. (Go inside corvette and just die/re-buff kill a few mobs that don'trespawn, die/rebuff.....boring) but we do need a place to heal our wounds.

My point?:

-Keep the difficulty the same. With all the cries that everything in the game can be soloed, this is very refreshing. If you can't tackle it...come back when you can...

-Fix the decay bugs. That's the biggest issue right now. Going in there with armor onis putting a death sentance on armor

-A place to heal battle fatigue and wounds. The ability to buff in the corvette is not needed to attempt to stop mindless "zerg tactics".
