Thread: Corellian Corvette Feedback
A recap of my experiences yesterday, now that I don't feel so crap about it.
I went to Darkstone on Tatooine. He gave me three options and I chose the Rogue Corsec Base on Corellia. I have(had) maxed faction with them and I thought this would make things easier by allowing me to focus on simply finding the information I was sent there for. After looking around for terminals that had "some" kind of option I decided perhaps itw as a loot drop. So I destroyed my faction and wiped the base out. Nothing. Fair enough, I thought. The base was by far the easiest of the three options - maybe that just meant it would take longer to get the item. Not convinced that it was a loot drop, though, i continued to search the buildings for a terminal or something that would let me download or something similiar.
After two hours, two clearances, and a dozen sweeps, I finally discover the storage crate. I got prisoner transfers and took them back to Darkstone. I was expecting a second leg of the mission to start (It may have taken two hours to find the crate, but it was almost all wasted time, so the whole thing struck me as being fairly easy). Anyway, Darkstone sends me to the Retreat to go aboard the Corvette. I'm going alone. I don't expect to win, but it's a new environment to explore. I get buffed in Theed. I logged out 2k away from the Retreat and came back 20 minutes later. My buffs had gone. I decide to press on to the Corvette, just to take a look... after all, I could easily get another ticket...
The experience was interesting and fairly fun. I actually was able to dodge passed a few guards. I felt the mobs were alittle on the side of being a long kill (this sort of warm up trash should be more easily soloable), but new buffs would have made the experience a little better. I picked my way around, finding lone ensigns, til a 66k mob jumped me. It was right beside the escape pod. I actually got a warning when I held the mouse over it, but no confirmation (I consciously chose to use it though).
Here now is where the experience gets ugly...
Back to Darkstone to get the mission again. Back to Corellia. I get an item which I know isn't what I wanted, but the box won't let me seach it again. Back to Tatooine. 100 faction points. Nice (and the actually writing on the note was funny - a refernece to Wedge trying to find out the average size of a wopmrat). Back to Corellia. Storage crate still won't let me search. Right. I had a suspicion when I first started that I might have to search all 3 locations, so it comes as no real surprise when I find I'm on way to Lok. 10k to the Droid Cave. Half empty, alittle bit of fighting later and I have another note, this time about Rebels ordering cold weather gear. Another 100 faction points. I knew it wasn't the right thing, so instead of going to Darkstone, I went straight onto Yavin IV and the Woolamander Palace. At least that was where I thought he said the 3rd place was. I looked around and there was simply nothing clickable there. No storage crates. Maybe I'd remembered wrong... I check the Blueleaf temple which is nearby. Never been inside before. Very cool building. But nothing doing for my quest.Back to Woolmander Palace. Still no sign.Back to Darkstone to confirm that it is the Palace. Yes, it is. Darkstone seems to think that Rebels still opearate out of it. Back to Yavin IV. Still no luck at the Palace. I goto the Temple of Exar Kun as well as the Massassi Temple. Nothing. Back to Darkstone to decline the mission. It's been 7 hours. Too late to take it again.
"I am disappointed..."
Me too. :/
I would just like to say i though it rocked, my group finished the mission and got our extremely long badges lol, thanks for making this awesome mission
And my group was far from being elite, most of us were using encumberance sliced comp with around 64% base resists and good quality non enhanced weapons.
a group of 10 with only about 4 master combat professions and 1 doc... we lasted 45 mins before everything went pair shaped died just before the bridge. I've heard about uber groups lasting 3 rooms, I expect those uber groups never heard of teamwork
Was it just me..or do other players end up Overt *after* they finish the hour in the Corvette?
Went last night ..logged off...logged on this afternoon..and was dead on Tatooine.
I dont recall being told I was overt...tef yes...overt..no
SCALE THE MISSIONS TO GROUP LVL! ![]()
Then you will have a winner.
and ad instanced versions of the geo cave and warren also
and ditch the "mini quest" time sink to get the papers..just let us have the conversation and go.
This type of mission would be perfect for casual players and small not-so-uber guilds if scaled accordingly.
You have done something great here but alot of us are not going to be able to even think about trying this content.
Grats to the Ubers that have completed this!![]()
