It's too hard. If everyone in the group doesn't have 90% composite and krayt weapons, you're dead meat. Even if you do have those items, expect to lose them as there's no insurance on the corvette.

I thought that being a doc, I could help my group out on the corvette. I'm not a very good combat player, so I needed my med skills as a ticket up. Come to find out that I can't even buff, so I'm basically dead weight for my group.

Another piece of content that you've cut the casual players out of. Thanks a lot.

A recap of my experiences yesterday, now that I don't feel so crap about it.

I went to Darkstone on Tatooine. He gave me three options and I chose the Rogue Corsec Base on Corellia. I have(had) maxed faction with them and I thought this would make things easier by allowing me to focus on simply finding the information I was sent there for. After looking around for terminals that had "some" kind of option I decided perhaps itw as a loot drop. So I destroyed my faction and wiped the base out. Nothing. Fair enough, I thought. The base was by far the easiest of the three options - maybe that just meant it would take longer to get the item. Not convinced that it was a loot drop, though, i continued to search the buildings for a terminal or something that would let me download or something similiar.

After two hours, two clearances, and a dozen sweeps, I finally discover the storage crate. I got prisoner transfers and took them back to Darkstone. I was expecting a second leg of the mission to start (It may have taken two hours to find the crate, but it was almost all wasted time, so the whole thing struck me as being fairly easy). Anyway, Darkstone sends me to the Retreat to go aboard the Corvette. I'm going alone. I don't expect to win, but it's a new environment to explore. I get buffed in Theed. I logged out 2k away from the Retreat and came back 20 minutes later. My buffs had gone. I decide to press on to the Corvette, just to take a look... after all, I could easily get another ticket...

The experience was interesting and fairly fun. I actually was able to dodge passed a few guards. I felt the mobs were alittle on the side of being a long kill (this sort of warm up trash should be more easily soloable), but new buffs would have made the experience a little better. I picked my way around, finding lone ensigns, til a 66k mob jumped me. It was right beside the escape pod. I actually got a warning when I held the mouse over it, but no confirmation (I consciously chose to use it though).

Here now is where the experience gets ugly...

Back to Darkstone to get the mission again. Back to Corellia. I get an item which I know isn't what I wanted, but the box won't let me seach it again. Back to Tatooine. 100 faction points. Nice (and the actually writing on the note was funny - a refernece to Wedge trying to find out the average size of a wopmrat). Back to Corellia. Storage crate still won't let me search. Right. I had a suspicion when I first started that I might have to search all 3 locations, so it comes as no real surprise when I find I'm on way to Lok. 10k to the Droid Cave. Half empty, alittle bit of fighting later and I have another note, this time about Rebels ordering cold weather gear. Another 100 faction points. I knew it wasn't the right thing, so instead of going to Darkstone, I went straight onto Yavin IV and the Woolamander Palace. At least that was where I thought he said the 3rd place was. I looked around and there was simply nothing clickable there. No storage crates. Maybe I'd remembered wrong... I check the Blueleaf temple which is nearby. Never been inside before. Very cool building. But nothing doing for my quest.Back to Woolmander Palace. Still no sign.Back to Darkstone to confirm that it is the Palace. Yes, it is. Darkstone seems to think that Rebels still opearate out of it. Back to Yavin IV. Still no luck at the Palace. I goto the Temple of Exar Kun as well as the Massassi Temple. Nothing. Back to Darkstone to decline the mission. It's been 7 hours. Too late to take it again.

"I am disappointed..."

Me too. :/

I may try again today. Heh.

I had read the forums so I told everyone to not use area atacks. even remove the buttons from the toolbar to avoid accidents.

We did not finish the mission in time though.

we did kill 2 super battle droids, so im not sure hwo far we got but it seemed we cleared 2/3 of the enemies.

No problem whatsoever, 3 incaps in the team.

It was a blast, nice new content, I like it alot, I dont care about the loot, its not all about loot in this game its also about nice experience and good teamplay with your mates.

Im sure we can finsih the actual mission on our next few tries. .

Just take it easy an keep the team together. .. the key is teamplay and organization.

This was the most fun I have had for a long time.

I dont like you in a way that i do like you but i can dis-concern whether your likable in that manner of thinking. Therefore if my manor of thinking is in a good way then i like you half as much as the next time i think like you.

I have not tried it and probably won't seeing as I'm not elite anything yet. From what I've heard it sounds great. I'm tired of hearing about people soloing Krayt Dragons and the like. It's good to hear that there is something that people actually have to think about to win. Even if they do everything right they don't always win. I haven't read all the posts but many seem to think the loot doesn't justify the risk. The reward isn't good enough. Seems to me that completing the mission is a reward in itself here. As difficult as this seems to be shouldn't anyone who has made it through be able to hold their heads high. This isn't like getting Jabba's Badge of Trust. This is clearing the Corellian Corvette! Congratulations to those who have made it through. Good luck to those that are still working on it. And to all the whiners...shut up and get to work. You need to earn respect.

Great fun : nice to have a challenge

And my group was far from being elite, most of us were using encumberance sliced comp with around 64% base resists and good quality non enhanced weapons.

a group of 10 with only about 4 master combat professions and 1 doc... we lasted 45 mins before everything went pair shaped died just before the bridge. I've heard about uber groups lasting 3 rooms, I expect those uber groups never heard of teamwork

Job well done! Wonderful fun with the Corvette.

Like many, my first time experience was horrible. Multiple deaths, etc... Spat us back out...

But, I thought about it. we had no group focus. No group targeting, and not a mix of the right profession.

I found another group and joined them. Found out to be right decision. We finished the assasination mission under 45 minutes. The group had a total of 8. 5 Master HeavySwordsman (with powerhammer and scyth), 2 Master Commando, and 1 Rifleman/Doc.

The Rebel NPC were all taken down by blast hammer, flamer. The SBD was Scyth, and HAR. The biggest key is focusing on 1 target at a time.

IF there weren't good team cohesion, and focus, yes, it's tough. With everyone on the ball and staying in a tight group, it was rewarding to finish the mission and get our badges and speeder schematic.

SCALE THE MISSIONS TO GROUP LVL!

Then you will have a winner.

and ad instanced versions of the geo cave and warren also

and ditch the "mini quest" time sink to get the papers..just let us have the conversation and go.

This type of mission would be perfect for casual players and small not-so-uber guilds if scaled accordingly.

You have done something great here but alot of us are not going to be able to even think about trying this content.

Grats to the Ubers that have completed this!

Great, deadly, but great. The ability to buff and perhaps 15 more mins would be better tho.

hehe, we weren't uber players... My toon is only a Master Commando, and dabbler of none. I have 10 sp sitting there not being used.

Scale the difficulty to the group? Dumb idea. Then I, as an architect/merchant with Pistol 2 would be able to finish the mission and get the same loot as you uber killing types by laying waste to a ship full of Gnort Division Stormtroopers.

I can't believe the whining here. Everyone says that the game is boring and everything is too easy and has been done. Then when something comes along that they don't complete within the first few hours of being released then it's too hard.

Make up your damn minds.
