Why shouldnt I be farther ahead than a newb ? I should be penalized for an inept system designed by Ralph Koster ? I should be penalized because of an xp cap I reached 10 months ago ? I should be penalized for "playing the game" like SOE advises me to do ?
I expect 8 skill boxes completed for my 2 holos leaving me 16 to go. I will accept nothing less or Im gone for good. Devs promised us credit for our hologrind, somehow this got mixed up with unlockers assuming it only meant them. Any holo completed should get credit for it.

And what did you do after doing the two holocrons? Did you continue grinding to 32 professions? Did you unlock?

The number of professions shouldn't matter. The progression towards jedi should be scaled and credited from the old system to the new.
32 professions = Jedi
30 professions = 93% complete
If you mastered 30 professions in the old system you should get 93% of the XP needed in the new system. Please don't make me start back at square one.

But you didn't complete it. That is the point. IF I go and take a driver's examination and only passed 43% of the questions should I be allowed to drive? If you answer yes, should I only be able to drive 43% of the time or should I be allowed to drive with the same priviledges as the person who completely passed their driver's exam?

I'm a lot newer than most of the people here complaining that they want their Jedi. But if all your arguments are met with satisfaction then that means that the 6 professions I have mastered should get me a Jedi because I didn't have the same amount of time you all did to grind out 32. Makes no sense to me. If you failed within the current system you need to concede that you failed and than possibly work within the new system.

I want holo credit for holos used and not used between the time of Oct and Nov of last year times six-- then I want holo credit for not using all of them and having 6 still in my bank. After this I want holo credit because I didnt unlock but I thought about and now decided to claim I was trying really really hard and wanted to unlock so I can now take back all the bad things I said about JEDI in general. THEN after all of this, I only did 30 profs unlocked BUT it took 30 I want back all the time it took to do those PRE PATCH 9 and want credit IN TIME IN REAL LIFE so I want holo credit given to me in a time machine to use and my own choice and when I want to. (Time machine) lol* THEN AFTER THIS, I think I want jedi BUT dont want to do any quests I want my xp to transfer over exactly the same and I dont want it to take 6- 7 months like it took alot of other people I want it in one week. THEN (Even though I was told after patch 9 THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERERNT....(I want this changed now , in fact I want to be in the old system now-- I know you told me BUT I changed my mind I dont like it and I want you to redevelop this last patch and I want to be using the new system BUT want credit lilke the old system).. NOW ONCE THIS IS ALL DONE LET ME KNOW , because then I need to get my badges (should take me about 3 days tops Im thinking) -- I need alot of credit for those too please... due to it took me 3 whole days to get all of them. Now once I have all of this in place Ill be ready to get JEDI thanks for all your help and I need this done by tommorow please...

/end ALL in good fun guys -- and trust me it was...lol ( I wish this was thought of in beta about half of you would have gave up lol)

You forgot to mention that you would quit should you not get your own way which would ultimately bankrupt SOE.

Based on some detailed conversations with the Correspondents, as well as your feedback, we have already implemented some changes on TC & TC2 for the credit you receive if you unlocked.

As you know, those that have unlocked between publish 9 & 10 will be given all 6 Force Sensitive branches that they need to proceed to Padawan.

Now, based on our interactions with the community, you will also be given the experience necessary to purchase all four boxes in each branch.

So: Intro Quest, Exit Quest, and on to Padawan. You can still do the Force Sensitive quests if you desire to gain their specific rewards.

We will announce the proportional credit for those who have not unlocked soon. It will be fair as well.

Thanks,

Hmm, I am happy for the Jedis (sincerely) or those soon to be, however what about the other professions that exist in this game and that seem to be left out of the attention the Devs have been doling out. I have a BH and a Commando both of which I have basically stopped playing because the professions are so broke. Sure I have started playing an alt (soon to be smuggler), however that is not the profession I actually wanted to play. Theprofessions I actually want to play are just sitting collecting dust because there is so much wrong with them that I can't actually play them like they should be. So when does some attention come our way?

Oh wait that's right, not until after the Jedi revamp and the deployment of JTL, so what, we're talkin sometime next year. So much for the last six months I have devoted to the game.

you know devers, some people in this game do not find it fun unless they have order to their exsistence. hence why the freaking out of the grinding, take away the grinding? you lose order, no order, no purpose in life, no life equals freak out. or they play BH LOL

Thats good news..... I've just checked my status on TC2 and I'm told I feel a "Surge of Force"

This good or am I still miles away from unlocking my FS?

I'm concerned that we are going to be running round chasing quests to try and unlock this FS.... I'm getting VERY annoyed about the Hermit Quest right now, I did Altrusim and Courage within an hour of "Going out to do them" Found the pirates almost right off based on information from forums but messed up the final part and failed, that was 4 days ago... and STILL looking for the pirates!!! I started the quests just to get me another set of badges and have since heared that they are part of the requirements for FS. Are we going to see a confirmation/denial of these rumors?

Are we going to be clued in AT ALL to requirements of FS slot?

If corvette is one of them then I'm basically up poop creak with out a boat, not to mention a paddle!!

I've been on the corvette, it was unplayable as all but the starting point and the escape pod switches were covered in the "Space" shader. IE if stood in a corridor it looked like I was floating in outer space BUT the walls blocked my line of sight... I REALLY have no desire to go through all the requirements to get a ticket for it again only to arrive there and have the same problem. This mean I'm never going to be able to open my FS slot?

A friend of mine couldn't see the lair where you get a hold of the squill skull to even start the hermit quest.... This mean HE won't be able to open his slot too?

It would only be fair give us SOME idea what will be needed.

Hmm...you obviously haven't read much about the new system, have you? Us grinders aren't getting such a bad deal after all.

Long Rant: The moving target that left me constantly scrambling to reach the Jedi "carrot."

I've been playing since Beta. My first MMORPG. Learned how to play. Found out about the Holos, ground out the first four. Went silent. What next? I've no idea. Started guessing which profession was next by whatever convoluted numerology of the week floated by. Probably had about 10 profs by this time. Then learned that the target had moved. It's not one ramdom profession, it might be a bunch. Started grinding in earnest. Last week, made number 26 - Bioengineer. No unlock. Burned out. Wasted. Since I didn't have a very good plan for mastering profs, I have some goofy one's left: BH, CH, Chef, Dancer, Musician, Squad Leader. Don't want any of those, either. Some would be pretty easy, but I'd have to tear up my current character AGAIN to complete. With only a 1 in 6 chance of unlock by next Tuesday. Ain't gonna do it.

Now I get to "wait and see" how many months out the carrot moves with the "credit" I get for all this work. Life ain't fair, but this is kinda cruel, actually.

BTW, I travel 50% of the time, and neglected my family alot to try and grind to Jedi when I was home. Oh, yeah, I also maintained a successful resources business to fund all the grinding. So you may call me a slacker, but I guess I'm just too slow or stupid to figure things out.

Now I have to depend on some new "system" again to try to become a Jedi. I hope it works, and that I can figure it out before it changes again. Good luck to everyone that wants what I do: to hear the sound of a lightsaber opening in my hand.

There's a lot of speculation as to what badges will be necessary in the new system to get a visit from the old dude. There seems to be some sort of weighting system applied to the badges, with different badges (warren, vette, hero o' tat) or types of badges (profession, poi) being worth more or less than others. At some point you reach a threshhold and it's village time. As for the Hero of Tat badges in particular, I'm not sure. I've seen posts from people with them who still haven't gotten a visit, tho, so who knows what they're worth. Except of course the spiffy ring

Said spiffy ring was another reason I decided to take on the quest

I'm watching this thread VERY closely (incase you hadn't noticed already!)

I'm not looking for a direct route to the FS/Jedi, I'm happy to work at it, heck! 4 days (no really!) looking for some NPCs that might not even spawn! Just to finish what I've started! Sat there for hours on end grinding ribbed shirts to clear out my 1st holo (Tailor!)

Another question (long explination needed for such a simple answer!)

Here goes:

After finishing my 3rd Holocron (Squad Leader) I went out in search for my next one.... Didn't take too long for me to find a nice geazer selling a sith holocron for a mear 50k... Made Trade, used holocron, was - as expected - silent....

About 5 minutes after this happened I got the dreaded "Connection to SWG Lost" message!

About 20 minutes passed before I could get back in, only to find that the 50000 credits were back in my pocket, and after talking to the feller I traded with I found out he had his sith holocron back in his inventory....

So to my question: Does the "Silent" Holocron register as a used holocron? If so, do you think I should do my damned best to go out and find one JUST so I get that bit of code saying I have done since the server roll back effectivly means I never actually got the holocron to use in the first place ? (oh god a time paradox!! lol!)
