Surrendered all skills this am to relearn force initiate...which ate all 250 skill points...

I say: Hate to be the one to break it to you, but, that 250 skill point thing is the old system... we're testing the new system.

I have a live jedi character on Eclipse on my other account. The character I created on TC to test on TC2..inever actually logged intoa planet whenhe was created. Instead, I just left him in the Travel Terminal character creation room. Now, I can't log in at all onto TC2 at all. The TC2 character (same name as my TC character and my live server Jedi) had a default appearance and no planet showing on character select screen. Efforts to log him in got me stuck on "connecting to galaxy" indefinitely.

So, I created another character on TC2. When I logged him in, he had no skills at all. Not jedi, not normal skills... nothing. I then thought maybe the names had to be the same. So, I deleted the character that could not be logged in, and I made another character with the same name as my TC and Live Server Jedi character. When this character logged into TC2 though, he also had no skills at all. No pop-up for the conversion process.. nothing. The /findmytrainer command didnt work. So, I am left without any skills. I guess I wont be testing jedi after all.

Perhaps this is all just because my copied character was in the "travel terminal" room instead of actually being logged in. So, maybe for some reason he wasn't copied correctly. I hope this is the case, and this is not some deeper problem. I really dont want to log my live server jedi in when publish 9 hits and find I have no skills at all as is the case atm on TC2.

One of my main areas of concern was the conversion process for current Jedi. What I have seen so far has not been encouraging.

Part of this is from my post in jedi gameplay but I think belongs here:

"2. Defense tree needs some loving, specifically the passive skill defenses. While it helps alot now for PvE defenses, as I stated previously, the +65 resistance vs "all states" is not very effective in pvp(as a master defender I got hit by state effects fair regularly). Remember, the main states we all worry about are KD/Dizzy and posture change. Hybrid non jedi can get their state defenses over 100, theres no reason a jedi master defender should not have this as well (and arguably greater).

* The force defense skill seems useless. Does this work as intended? I can tell you that almost every duel Ive gotten into and just relied on my "uber" force defense I get creamed by choke, weaken, and lightning. The only thing that helps quite a bitis force shield, the active power. The passive defenses by themselves should be helping alot more or causing moremisses (or whatever theyre suppose to do), which they dont appear to do on any substantial level.

* Jedi toughness also seems a little underpowered when compared to lightsaber toughness. I need to test this more, but currently it appears a greater benefit is gained from simply mastering the lightsaber technique line's toughness rather than the entire jedi toughness earned by mastering defense.

* Additionally, a master LS user with little defense will *own* a master defense user who has little LS skills. Again, I need to test this more but currently this appears to be the case. I would think that this should be a draw, but it isnt.

* The TKM "bugged skill" (assuming its bugged? maybe its as intended) that does only 1 damage on the combat screen (but in actuality does more) otherwise known as "the combo"/whatever its game name is, makes the entire jedi defense tree completely and utterly useless. I watched a TKM, using this skill, own several jedi knights.

Bottomline: the entire defense line - with exception of force armor and force shield which are wonderful abilities - appears "dumbed down" and needs to be upped to be in line/greater than passive defense bonuses earned by hybrid non-jedi classesin the passive skill area."

ok after 1 day of using specials and different saber moves here is what i have found. Sorry if it a repeat

1.) i have mstr saber and crafting force experimentation line but when i made a saber lance i still only got 10 experimentations. should get 2 extra experiments from force exp.

2.) not sure if this is the new model but you can use any powers while KD

3.) the saber lance area attack that hits all targets in immediate area is dervish 1. all the others hit just the targeted mob/player

Well, I've skipped pgs. 13-16, so I probably missed something, but this was my solution to my screwed up skill points. When I first made my char, I accidently took Novice Brawler instead of Novice Artisan, and I took force Powers class (Force Wielder), and my power did not work.
Therefore, I headed the the Jedi skill trainer.
I kept my force progression of Initiate and Force Sensitive and lost ALL my other skills (including padawan and knight). Then I trained in Initiate from the trainer, getting old-school initiate powers. I played for a few hours, kept logging on and off, but I never got the skill box back like someone said I would. I went to sleep, and got up this morning, and logged in. Voila! I was offered the skill box, and I still had my inventory, with my saber and crystal. I picked up Artisan, Medic, and Scout, and Force Healer for my box, and I was able to start testing the new Jedi system all over again.
Good luck!

I have TKM/Novice Jedi template, and if I use beserk to kill things while my saber is equipped, I dont get exp for any hits while beserked.

while not beserked i get 6-14 jedi exp every timeI hit something.

this may also need tweeked:

I hit gnort #1 Killed in one hit with a special, got 14 jedi exp

I hit gnort number #2 killed in four hits without using a special and got 6 jedi exp per hit then 14 for the death kill

Basically if you dont use specials you get more jedi exp then if you would using a special

Trained Two Handed Light Saber to level 4, crafted my 3rd Generation 2 Handed saber.

When I equip it, or attempt to use styles with it, the system tells me I do not have sufficent skills to wield the weapon, and my damage is greatly reduced.

If you attempt to use forcerun(1,2 or 3) while you are already force running, it drains more force power from your character and does nothing other than say "you are already force running"

bug:

Using cure states, cure poison, cure disease, or basically any force power just TAKES YOUR FORCE POWER even when it says "you have no states to cure" etc..
